Food is always good and hits the spot from this restaurant. I ordered their Florentine Omelette from the daily special menu board near the front entrance. It came with a choice of hash browns or home fries. I opted for the home fries with sauteed onion and peppers. A small slice of Swiss cheese topped the omelette. Portion size is generous. The omelette had plenty of filling inside. Service is friendly and efficient. The train on the aerial track was running the morning of my visit so it was fun to watch while my food was being prepared. Plenty of parking in their lot. read more

Came here for a little work breakfast. I love small restaurants like this. We sat down and there's a little train that goes around the room up near the ceiling. I ordered the machaca skillet and biscuits and gravy. The gravy was thick and good but lacking a little salt. I don't typically add salt but did add just a little. The machaca skillet was excellent. Everyone in our group loved their food and our waitress was friendly and attentive. I'll be back! read more

Spring House Restaurant - Albacore avocado, tomato sandwich with french fries - New American Near Me - Hesperia, California

The service here is so amazing, and so is the food! I came here originally ordering their menudo but changed my mind to the ham steak due to the raving reviews about it! Our waiter kindly made that change for me and kept up with our table as far as drinks and asking how everything is. The ambiance here is very homey and very cute with the big tree and the train going across the ceiling. A very family friendly breakfast place. read more

Spring House Restaurant - Ham steak & eggs full breakfast - New American Near Me - Hesperia, California

Food is good portions and friendly service, ambiance was great listening and looking at the train.

Been going here since opened. Good food. Friendly service. Used to be the hot spot. Still generous portions.

The service was good and the people are very friendly, but the restaurant itself is dated and looks like it belongs in the 1900's. The food is not great, we ordered the burger and fries, and omelette from the specials and the hot turkey sandwich. We were not impressed, especially since we like the owners restaurant in Phelan. The burger was decent, just grisly, the omelette was good but the hot turkey wasn't very good. The vegetables smelled gross and the salad we got with it was slightly brown. The dressing was weird tasting, we tried both the ranch and blue cheese, both had a funky taste. I don't recommend this restaurant, but I do enjoy Grisseles in Phelan. read more

The service was really good. Super friendly and attentive staff. The ambience is relaxed, exactly what I would expect from a mom and pop establishment. I did find the menu prices to be a little on the high end, but the food was delicious. My hubby had the steak and eggs. He says the steak was really juicy and tender, and a decent size. I had the Machaca with eggs. It was tasty and so was their green salsa. They were kind enough to make an accommodation for me, and that was truly appreciated. My husband and I are just making our way through all the different establishments in the high desert and not wanting to go back to the same place over and over, but this one will be on the list of placed to revisit if we are in the area. read more

The restaurant was cute but the food was not good. The waitress did not come back and check on us. We waited for a long time for our food. My eggs were orange for some reason and I didn't trust them so I didn't eat them. Well, you gotta try something at least once right? Back to Molly's we go ! read more

Spring House Restaurant - Wheat pancakes with Italian sausage eggs and fruit. - New American Near Me - Hesperia, California

I ordered the French toast with apple slices. There was no taste but I ate all of it. I finished my wife's omelette and it didn't have any taste either. When I got home I had to run to the restroom. 4 hours later my stomach is killing me. I think I got food poisoning. I always eat French toast wherever I go, even fast food places and I always enjoy them. This is a First for me. I might have to change up my meals. read more

Been coming here for years! Love the food & the workers they are all amazing. They make you feel like family.

It's clean. Service is so so. Food never again. Blue cheese dressing that was extremely watered down on iceberg lettuce. Come on! At least get romaine! It wasn't even green at all. The mashed potatoes were not white. I'm not sure what or where they came from but, I want white fluffy potatoes not a small little scoop of brownish yuck. The corn was ok. I suppose if I had gotten the roast beef slathered In gravy, I might not have noticed?? I didn't take any pictures. There are trains running around on the top of the walls. This comfort food place could be so Special if they had real cooks. read more

Everything was great. The food was hometown cooking. The latino staff is great, friendly, and very attentive. The only bad thing I can say is that I personally hate when I walk into a business and they have fox news on the TV. I can't stand having to eat my food while listening to racist bigotry. I prefer not to hear or watch fake news while I'm trying to eat a sensible lunch or dinner. It really says a lot about the ownership when they subject their clientele to such nonsense! Please keep your political views out of my quiet time. Last thing I want is to listen to these clowns while I'm eating! Change the channel or turn of the TV! read more

Spring House is an amazing place to eat. I've taken my cousin who is a really hard critic and he had nothing but nice things to say. I also took my mother in law and father in law and they enjoyed it also. My wife and I find ourselves there at least once a week. Steak, eggs, hash browns and pancakes or French toast a favorite dish I enjoy weekly and look forward to having. It's a very friendly environment. Highly recommend. read more

I consider this place a hit or miss. The first time I went, it was ok, nothing special, just got myself an omelet. The second time I went, I decided to get the sirloin steak and eggs breakfast. I asked for my steak to be medium rear. When my steak arrived, it felt warm, but after cutting into it, it felt colder and colder the closer it was to the center. I have a feeling it was an old steak that they just threw in the microwave. I only say that because while my steak was cold on the inside, my eggs were still nice and warm. read more

Spring House Restaurant - The proof!!! - New American Near Me - Hesperia, California

My family went today and the service was absolutely horrible. They should be ashamed of themselves and to top it off the food. Taste like nothing. You have to be kidding me with that.!!! What is wrong with you? People go there to eat their breakfast and share family time and this is what you come up with that is ridiculous. If I could put a negative star I would. My mom used to love that place and she said she's never going again in her entire life. read more

Just ledt this restaurant. This is oir second time here. The first I enjoyed my food but my husband had an achy tooth and couldn't really eat much. So we decided to come here and as expected, it was not disappointing at all. I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was sooo good. My husband had the chili side with french fries and he said it was very good, too. Service was nice and quick. We did not wait long for our food and the staff seem pretty friendly with everyone. They know their customers by name and that says a lot of good things about them. I recommend this place. :) read more

How else can I say it? This restaurant -used- to be nice. A few years ago the owners changed. I remember seeing the owner being a dick to his waitresses. Came in today for brunch, thinking things would be better. All new staff and his hairline has receded. The good? It's cheap. Sort of. Kids ate for $6 but they got chocolate chip pancakes and their choice of drink without a refill. Unless they get a soda. No thanks. The bad? Well, the restaurant used to have a train running on tracks above the customers. Except my kids noticed it wasn't running right away. They asked the owner to turn it on and it only runs in reverse. My kids asked why and he said it doesn't go forward anymore and he doesn't know why. It's worn out. My omelette was so full of cheese it was a grease pit. And the country potatoes were thrown on my plate with half cooked onions and bell peppers. Gross. And their chocolate chip pancakes? Tossed on the plate like they really DGAF. And they were chocolate chip pancakes. They couldn't have bothered to actually mix the pancakes with the chips. They just threw the chips on the grill and poured batter on. So lazy. If you're looking for brunch, hit Mollie's. This place was once a great restaurant. Now, it's just a meager slop shop with average prices and sub-average grub. read more

Drove 30 minutes to come here, my husband had tried it a few days back. The place was packed, wait time was less than 10 minutes. Place had a country feel, there's even a beautiful cute train that goes around the restaurant. Server's were attentive had our drinks in no time. Server took our order as soon as drinks were served. The food was soooooooo delicious!!! Biscuits and Gravy are Homemade, everything was hot and delicious. Portions are big, I need those Portions with 3 boys and My Husband. Prices are really good, well worth the drive. To the owner of this Restaurant if yelp had more stars would definitely give them to your Restaurant. read more

My experience eating in has never been impressive, average at best. The restaurant has a unique decor and the selection of food available is quite extensive (maybe too extensive). I haven't been inside the restaurant in awhile, for the most part we order from here for delivery. The portion sizes are impressive for the cost and I'm always open to order my eggs over easy because they arrive to our door warm and still perfectly cooked which is a feat in itself for many places. In terms of flavor the food is decent, not bland but still in need of some added salt. Overall if you've never been it's worth a stop. read more

I've been coming here for 30 years... Change of owners and everything. It's still good but not great anymore. I miss the specials they had and the bread pudding I'm not so keen on changes on the menu. The spaghetti alla Crusoe used to be amazing. Now it's not, they don't put enough sauce on it and got pretty cheap on the meat. I give 3 stars because of the years I've been going and a couple Familiar faces. read more

First time in was a great experience. The restaurant was very clean! The staff was very friendly. The service was excellent. My husband and I ordered breakfast. The food was good. Definitely coming back for breakfast. read more

You know the place, the one with the model train- The Spring House! This diner has been a landmark in Hesperia since I moved to the high desert in 1990. It's gone through multiple ownership and survived the pandemic! I'm so glad it's still around. This is an old fashioned diner with a large menu. The servers are so nice and friendly. The food has never disappointed. It's my go to for breakfast or lunch. I have never had anything that I didn't like. My favorite is the eggs Benedict! The hubby loves the Ruben Sandwich. Surprise, they serve menudo too!!! It's constantly delicious and on the menu every day. That means I don't have to wait until Sunday for my menudo fix. read more

1) the menu tells you that you will have to wait a long time for your food (literally- it says that) and they aren't kidding. We were one of 5 tables there, us being a party of 4 and the biggest party sitting- it took one hour to get our food. 2) milk shakes are $5 served in a small glass- no cup on the side with left over shake like other places 3) friendly customer service 4) convenient location 5) a lot of parking 6) the train circulating through out restaurant is so cute- entertaining for people of all ages 7) the fried chicken steak and eggs was delicious but it was a pretty small piece of chicken fried steak compared to other places- but the gravy was very good read more

Hair in our food...not once but twice in the same visit. Sent food back 1st time then it came back again with hair. Offered 10% which was an insult after not knowing if we ate hair already. Waitress so very nice and they did end up comping the one meal but we will not be back. read more

Cute, charming, local feel, great service I've been here for breakfast several times, and really like it -- it has a great local vibe, very down-to-earth. It has an expansive menu (coffee shop / diner), and they're very accomodating to substitutions. The prices are fair and portions are large. This is nothing fancy, for sure. It's a nice coffee shop. The service is so nice, and that's by different waitresses...and they've made the experience all that more. A local in town recommended it, and I'm so glad they did. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for another breakfast restaurant to visit in Hesperia, because there just isn't much out here! We decided to try Spring House. First of all, the inside is very homey. They have train tracks built close to the ceiling, and a train going around the restaurant. It's a really sweet touch, and our server made us feel really comfortable. I should have gotten her name, but she was very sweet and the food came out quicker than we expected! I ordered the Vegetable skillet. I asked for some salsa and our server brought me my favorite Cholula sauce, along with their house salsa! To my surprise it had mango in it. OHHH... man, it was SO GOOD!!! I really enjoyed my breakfast and I often crave it now. We left feeling full and delighted. Thanks Spring House! read more
