I was excited to try this place since I was just passing by and the sign said chicken and beer and I was in. I paid over 25 dollars for a decent roasted chicken breast a warm corona and watery beans and a styrofoam cup of pollo rice. I couldn't hear any of the games that were on the tv in the bar area because the Mexican music was blaring from behind the bar. The beans were a dang tragedy and the rice was hard and dry in spots. It was 1 pm and you're giving me dry rice with a plastic spork that immediately broke and the thinnest napkin I've ever been given it might as well been a tissue. Wayyyyyy too expensive for what they give. Family meal with 2 whole chickens and small sized "large" sides is crazy for $50. Then you only get 3 small salsas and they charge $1.50 per small itty bitty cup of salsa, about 2oz. Ridiculous actually! Just go to Costco $5 whole chickens and sides you can bake up. I used to really enjoy Los Pollo Brothers but their customer service at the counters had gone down! We used to use them in parties for catered dishes but going in the restaurant 3 different times has now on the search for somewhere different. On those occasions, it's always been with the condiments on nachos and each time that request is clearly made, the order is missing an item! Today it was the sour cream. I spent over $50, explained to the associate/ order taker that served the food and she explains to us that that was not included with the order but she would be more than happy to charge additional money and bring it to our table. When you clearly explain what you want in your order, that's the way it should be. Bria elite bowl was to salty. We informed them and they didn't offer to make things right. They didn't even offer an alternate dish or anything. The chicken dinner special was tasty on the outside but dry on the inside. I was excited with trying this place but being that they did not even offer to do anything about the salty elite bowl we will not be back. Save your money this is not worth the cost. I wish I had taken pictures of our food! But we will return for quality research . I usually go to their other location in Apple valley for lunch and almost always get the elote bowl or taquitos. Instead today I tried the sopas, boneless wings and a margarita! The new items on the menu at this location are delicious and a great addition for eating in the Cantina. We ordered a feast of items for our family of 6. Sopas, Taquitos, Boneless wings and a chicken family meal with rice, beans and potato salad. I meant to order fried pickles but I was eating the menu with my eyes and forgot, theses always next time. I'm huge on consistency and each time I eat at one of their locations the chicken is moist and flavorful. I've read about this place on some of the blogs here in town so I had to try it, I love Pollo Asada so with this looking like one of the other places that I do like to go to I just knew it was something that I just needed to try. So as I am driving down Main Street I see it and I was like you know what there it is let me try it we get there. It's clean, I t's nice inside they got a bar good music playing the girl at the front was more concerned about what was going on in the back... She kind of looked at us when we got there and she waited a second and then she came up and asked if we were ready we told her we just needed to look at the menu a little bit and we're trying to see the menu from above which it was kind of hard because the writing and the pictures were a little bit small but ultimately we decided what we wanted she didn't offer the menus that were sitting on the counter that we didn't see till after we were done ordering and she took our order so quick and fast she didn't ask us if we wanted anything else like if we wanted a drink or anything. She was kind of in a hurry for something that was going on in the back so service wasn't too great. We get our food and the portions were just so small for the prices. I was a little bit upset with that because one plate was $15 and all I got were four little taquitos a small tiny little Styrofoam cup of rice and my husband got the nachos that was really small and it only had nacho cheese cheese with watery beans, and very little meat so that wasn't great for me however, the flavor of the food was absolutely great. I can't argue that the rice was delicious. The salsa was delicious. The taste of the chicken and the taquitos was delicious. The nachos were not as good as I would have liked because of the nacho cheese, I don't like nacho cheese so I feel that if there was shredded cheese, I would've been a little bit more pleased with that but overall the food was good. I can't complain. I do give it three stars because of the food however I don't give it the full five stars because the service wasn't great and the portions were just way too small for the price. We paid over $30 for really small portions. I mean I could've went to El Pollo Loco and got the same stuff for about $10-12 less probably. So yeah just if you wanna eat here just note that the portions are really small and the service could be better. read more
