The service yikes. One of the servers/hosts was not please when we moved a couple tables together for our large party. Most of us have never been here before and that was off putting. The shady glances of disgust were noted. We came to try the beer and their guest food truck. That's a wonderful idea to have a food truck parked right outside. The line to get food was long but well worth it. The inside has a comfortable brew vibe with a small bar and extra sitting areas in the front and back. It was too busy to take pictures of the interior. I ordered a flight after standing in line for a bit and got whatever IPA's they had listed. I didn't take notes on which one I liked best but we weren't here long enough to order more. Review of food truck will be separate review but in stars they get 4. I wanted to share our experience of their food for further events. - The chicken was delicious! Tender and juicy. I hade the second spice level up and I don't think I could have handled any higher. It was HOT..and I LOVE spicy. The Mac n cheese is homemade but I thought it was mediocre. The tater tots were good with the cheese sauce but the chicken sandwich was fire. The smash burger looked amazing though I didn't try it. The chicken nuggets order (click on tots) with tots is just chicken tenders cut up. I do wish they were fried after being cut up for more crunch and flavor but it was still a good meal. Portions were GIANT! Definitely try all the food!

Off the grid is truly just that, off the grid. Being one of two breweries in the high desert, off the grid is the much more superior brewery providing quality beers all year around. Parking: Very limited, you might have to park on the street or a block down and walk. Inside: The brewery is very small, so prepare for an intimate setting. There are several places you can sit, bar top, front room and in the back by the brewing system. There is one bathroom, and one tv that isn't ever on. This place is kid friendly but they might get a tad bit bored as there is not much to do there, so bring some games to keep them entertained. Beers: Now the quality of the beers has gone down a bit since they changed brewers but they are still delicious. They don't really specialize in a certain type of beer, but they have a wide variety of beers to chose from. So they'll have something for everyone. They do have their staples though that they offer all year around. My only complaint is the beers aren't consistent anymore, but that's most likely due to switching brewers, still trying to dial it in. They do growler fills, crowlers so you can take home and enjoy Service: It's gone down since Ben and Amanda left, but it's still pretty good. Food: They offer snacks and water and soda but don't have food available- they so however allow you to bring your own food OR at times have food trucks in the back, typically on the weekends This place is worth a shot to try, it's definitely the best brewery in the high desert!

Traveling through the desert you often work up a thirst seeing your off the grid anyway by being all the way out here you know that the only thing that's going to quench that thirst is a delicious cold brew and that's exactly what can be found here! Having never been to this brewery before I really didn't know what to get but seeing that they had a brew with papaya in it I was instantly sold and grabbed a pint of this cool delicious goodness! Sadly I don't remember what the brew was called but you could really taste the papaya in it and oh it was just yummy all the way through definitely a brew I would get again if I ever venture here. The inside had a good amount of space wile still keeping that low key brewery feel to it as it was just the bar and a bunch of places to relax and drink your brews. Overall this is off the beaten path and yes it was totally worth it for the trip here to get a delicious beer it's for that reason I hope to get back here some day to see what else is hopalicious too!

Great place to hang out with friends! Very laid back environment, kid and pet friendly, super friendly staff, and an amazing selection of delicious beers... what more can you ask for?! There is something here for every beer lover!

Finally found a good brewery in the HD. Place was nice and the staff were really friendly so they earned a big tip. Beers were great I had the El Borracho, Sunny Haze, and my girlfriend had to porters. We sat at the back where there was nobody felt lonely maybe a TV or music player should be added in the future.

Off The Grid is one of Apple Valley's hidden gems. The food truck's are consistently fire -- fresh, flavorful, and always cooked with care. Every dish feels like it was made by someone who actually takes pride in what they're serving. The staff is friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and the service is quick even when they're busy. Whether you're grabbing a bite after work or pulling up with family and friends, this spot hits every time. Great atmosphere, fair prices, and a drink menu that actually has personality. Made a quick pit stop here cause we couldn't find any other dog friendly place nearby. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the bartender was SO friendly and accommodating even though we got there right before closing. He really made our night! Beer was also so refreshing. Great vibe. We called ahead and were able to take in our own food. When I ordered the sweet bartender offered a sample before I tried a new beer. We did a flight and there was a great variety. We decided to buy two small growlers with 2 of the beers we loved. I was especially appreciative to the length they went to sanitize the growlers. We have been looking for a place in the high desert like this. I was especially happy they were dog friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

Absolutely love the beer! To top it off, the experience is amazing! We regularly visit Off The Grid and we keep coming back because of the atmosphere that our beer tenders, Summer and Mark, provide! We bring our 4 month old and feel like we are family! Both Summer and Mark have we us feel so welcome and, as long as they are here we will be back! read more

Yesterday, Off the Grid Brewing Company was our last stop in our brewery hoping tour to celebrate my Birthday. Being that it's so close to home, I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not coming here sooner. The beer is unbelievably awesome! I had their flight of four, two that I requested and two recommended by Amy (staffer). I was completely blown away with the smooth blends and flavors. Nothing was overpowering, they were all delicious. I continued with two more pints of different selections (suggested by Amy again), and again they were both on point! I couldn't find anything wrong with any beers. I must give kudos to the Brew Masters, they definitely know what they're doing. To Amy: you too were awesome, your personality and way of being made us all feel welcomed. You know your brews which makes it all the better! Thank you! My only suggestion to the brewery is, add a TV (I didn't see one), this would be an ideal hang out spot to watch sporting events. read more

My husband and I enjoy the brews. I typically get the flights for variety and my husband enjoys the stouts, especially the oatmeal stout. The staff is incredibly friendly and always makes us feel comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxing. I would recommend, if you want a low key evening out and some good brews. read more

My boyfriend went here to eat Thursday for our anniversary. Our server was Edgar and he was so amazing! He was polite and knowledgeable. He helped my boyfriend out with beer suggestions for his flight. The food was to die for. It's was my boyfriends first time going to a Bjs and He is now hooked! Thanks Edgar! The beers were solid and the owners/employees were super friendly. They chatted about brewing with our little group (also brewers) and shared some history of the town. They're a little off the beaten path of the 15 corridor but will go back for sure. read more

I've tried this place twice and both times the beers were not good. Staff aren't very friendly, but also aren't rude. The place is on the small side, but it's a decent ambiance for a brewery. Very disappointed with this place. I wouldn't recommend to make the trek. read more

This place is an awesome little place hidden in the HD ! Cold beers and good atmosphere ! The Mexican lager is my favorite! Advice - eat before or order food from local places ! They don't serve food , but they do allow people to bring their own snacks and order take out ! read more

Today we went on a brew safari and went to 4 breweries. Black Market Brewery, IE Brewery, Hangar 24 and Off the Grid Brewing Company. The day ended at Off the Grid Brewing Company in Apple Valley and I have to say overall they had great beers. I ordered a flight of 4 and all the beers were delicious. They were well balanced, ABV was on point and you can tell that the quality of ingredients was top notch for the different styles of beers. Much respect to the brewers at Off The Grid Brewing Company because their beers are at the same level as Stone, Hangar 24, Ballast Point and the top notch Breweries in So Cal! The Brew Masters at OTG are doing an amazing job. read more

A few people gave my family this restaurant as a recommendation so we decided to stop by! We came on a Saturday around 6 pm and were quoted an hour and a half for 6 people. We noticed that next to the bar, there were quite a few seats available. That area is a free for all and anyone can sit there without having to wait for the quoted seating time. Our waitress was very attentive to us and would give us recommendations on what was her favorite and most ordered. Food: Short Rib Nachos (7.5/10): I will admit, I'm not a nacho cheese person but these were delicious. The short ribs were cooked perfectly, it was melt in your mouth after chewing a few times. The cheese wasn't too heavy but was equally spread across the entire plate of chips. This was my first time seeing avocados on nachos. There were a lot of jalapeños slices throughout the dish which adds a nice spice to the cheese. Oogi's Special The Works (7.2/10): This is a FILLED pizza. We had 6 people and opted for the X-Large. It was perfect amount and only two slices were left over. I couldn't even tell you what toppings were on there because it was so filled, you couldn't even see the cheese under it. I thought it was a little too much but that's just personal preference. Side of Fries (7/10): These were addicting. It's beer battered fries with ketchup and ranch. It was nicely coated with a good amount of crunch in them. Honestly, wish there was more uniqueness to it. 2-lb wings (Korean and Garlic Parm)(6/10): There were quite a few flavor options you could choose from. It comes with two cups of ranch and celery and carrot sticks. When it came, we didn't see any wings and all drums. The garlic parm flavor fell short and didn't have any garlic flavor in it. I thought it just tasted like a fried chicken wing. The Korean flavor was just okay. It was tangy with a touch of spiciness. I did prefer the Korean one over the garlic parm one for sure. Chicken Tequila Pasta (4/10): This one was given to us as a waitress recommendation but I'm sorry but it was so salty. We all tried it and all thought the same thing. The sauce tasted like bell peppers and salt.

I ordered the habanero pineapple boneless wings thinking they would be spicy-- they were not. Now I will admit, I've gotten used to hot sauce so maybe that's why they weren't that spicy. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be soft, but the boneless wings were not crispy, maybe the sauce made the better soft. But, I did not like it, I was expecting more crispy. But again, maybe is this is the way that they're served. The ambience is okay it's a sports bar. Kind of small as well but very busy. The service was great. I was greeted within less than 2 minutes from sitting down, and I had multiple servers taking care of my table. So definitely they're not lacking in service. I just think since the last time I went there and this time the quality of food has diminished.

We were informed that management had requested everything to be on one bill... not split per table. Now based on numbers it would have made ZERO difference if everything was split up with cost and tax... so it was really disappointing. I had not been able to eat yet but I ended up Having to get the check, go to each table , tally what each table ordered and then calculate what that tables total cost was. Then I took the tax percentage and added that to each amount and then each person went up to pay that amount. In the end we made sure everything was covered and we do appreciate the hosting of the party but I think as a business you would want to stick to set expectations and not need to see a big bill if it makes no difference in cost. I wanted to give you 5 stars but I could not based on having to do what I did for the check and not being able to eat my food because of it. I took the beer back and confronted the beer tender because I couldn't believe they would substitute a completely different beer without saying anything. If you're out of a beer or trying to sell your Daily Bread beer, at least be upfront about it. I'm paying for the beer I ordered, and I expect to receive the same Mexican Lager--not a different beer substituted without my knowledge. That kind of lack of honesty makes for a really unpleasant experience. After years of coming here, this was incredibly disappointing. I expected much better.

Also, the staff is super friendly and helpful when describing the drinks and where they come from as I'm a novice.
