We dined here 3 nights and did take away one night. Loved this place. Vegan food done perfectly in Barcelona. Appetizers, mains, and desserts all great. Favorites were Ramen, salads, spring rolls, and the chocolate cake. Pad Thai and rolls were also excellent. The takeaway and wait staff were all great. I was not expecting to stumble upon a vegan sushi restaurant in Barcelona! Cute, quaint place when I arrived at 7pm which is typically early for dinner so there was just one other table with guests. I am not your go to sushi person as I haven't been much of a fan but figured I'd try it out. I ordered the cauliflower popcorn, emerald roll and nigiri. The popcorn was delicious and crispy. The emerald and nigiri was good, it didn't blow me away but met my expectations. I really liked how unique the nigiri was. Also, the homemade hibiscus tea is absolutely delicious and perfect for a summer evening. The service was good, slow for how not busy it was. read more

Cool vegan sushi spot! I tried the geisha roll (avocado maki with gluten-free panko, heüra tartare, fermented chili sauce, chives & black quinoa rice) 16,00€ and really enjoyed it! Super unique in comparison to American sushi spots! The wine is affordably priced and the server was kind! There is inside and outside seating as well! This place is literally a raw vegan dream come true. ALL THE FOOD IS FREAKING VEGAN!!! Many gluten free options as well!!! The food is presented and served with so much care and love. While visiting Barcelona we decided to stop at Roots & Rolls. The experience was 5 stars in every sense of the way. First the ambiance, when you walk into the restaurant you will find yourself in a cozy environment, ideal for a date or for dining with a group. But the real winner here is the food. We tried a variety of dishes ranging gyozas to sushi. All of the dishes were exquisite, each of the flavors is carefully thought through, making each bite an experience. Even though this is a vegan restaurant, the food is great for any palate. All in all, if you are looking for a unique sushi experience while in Barcelona Roots & Rolls is a perfect choice. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed. read more

I was so happy to find a vegan restaurant in Barcelona. The decor is super cute and the waitress's were very friendly. My husband (who is not vegan) ordered the popcorn cauliflower and loved it. I had edamame, a roll and the apple crisp. All delicious. They are a little pricey but most vegan restaurants are so in reality they are comparable. If ever in Barcelona again I'd definitely go back to order other items on the menu. read more

This is probably the worst vegan restaran I have been in terms of food quality. We ordered two tasting menus @50 euro each, we have been served microwave food. The food tasted blend and I'm 100% certain it was made in microwave. We have informed our waiter that is absolutely tasteless and half cold, she didn't care much for our feedback. St the end we were given 170 euro bill for 4 microwave dinners. I have been vegan for over 10 years now and have traveled quite bit around the world and I kid you not when I say it is the absolutely worst vegan tasting "food" Stay away at all costs ! When in Spain~ you're supposed to have paella, HOWEVER the original place I had in mind was closed. This place was recommended from a website of the person who ran a free walking tour. It was late, I was sorta hungry and it was only a 15 min walk from the hotel. I goI ordered the gyoza & dashi for starter and the kari coco was recommended by the waiter for the main entree. The sauce for the gyoza was a bit too sweet for my taste, however the gyoza was very good. I was very happy with the main entree, just the perfect amount of coconut curry sauce, not too overwhelming. I wish I had enough room in my stomach to try out the dessert, the cheesecake sounded so good~ well maybe next time I'm back in Barcelona. read more
