I got two cookies - snickerdoodle and chocolate caramel and a cheesecake. The inside of the store is bright and fresh and doesn't feel too crowded. I did have the BLT and opted for fruit as my side. The sandwich was great but the fruit stole the show. Usually you get a couple of grapes and some cut up cantalope. Here I got fresh pineapple, strawberry, melon, blueberries and grapes. Very fresh and of great quality. I also purchased a fancy cookie (no pictures as I snarfed it down so quickly) and a sweetheart Silk pie. So rich, I could only eat small pieces of it at a time. My take on this experience: YUMMMM

Stopped in on a Friday around noon and there was about a 10-minute wait, which honestly wasn't bad…read moreconsidering how busy they were. We split a bowl of soup and they kindly served it in separate bowls for us, which I appreciated. The soup of the day was corn chowder and wow, I was surprised how good it was, I do love soups. I'd never tried corn chowder before, but it was creamy, flavorful, and comforting. I ordered the half salad/half sandwich combo. The smoked salmon niçoise salad had a blend of interesting flavors and the dressing paired perfectly with it. For the sandwich, I chose the BLTEA, and unfortunately this was the disappointing part of the meal. The avocado on it was clearly overripe/bad, so dark, mushy, and it gave the sandwich an unpleasant taste. I removed as much as I could, but it still affected the flavor. It was a bummer because this spot usually tastes very fresh. I've had it before and the avocado was fresh, along with the orchard salad which I loved. I would say the orchard salad is my fave. They make their dressings homemade and the dressing for the orchard salad was delicious. The service was still very friendly, and since they were slammed busy, I didn't feel like making a fuss about it. Everything else we had was enjoyable. The inside is small and quaint since it's a house turned restaurant, so it has a cozy but lively ambiance when crowded. One of the best perks here is definitely the made from scratch desserts. I love checking out the dessert case because the staff will happily explain each option and answer questions. There's something oddly satisfying about watching them slice the desserts too. I took a lemon cheesecake to go and absolutely loved it. I've also tried the blackberry wine cake which is a staple and delicious. A seasonal dessert that was really good was the pumpkin pie. You really can't go wrong with home made desserts here.

The staff were super nice and my waitress was amazing. I got there a little early so she made me a vanilla latte that was really good! I had the 56th street platter (bacon, pancakes, home fries and pancakes). I thought the eggs would be scrambled but they were still good. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the home fries. A little undercooked but overall the food for the price was good! While ordering, one of the servers came out with these amazing looking quiches! OMG!! I wanted to buy both the veggie and bacon ones so bad but I wasn't going straight home. The quiches were so appealing to the eyes; it's the perfect dishe if you're having guests for the holidays! I'm definitely going to purchase one next time I'm there. If you're looking for a nice spot where you can vibe or eat outdoors I would recommend this place. The clientele was very diverse and some people even knew the staffs' names...impressive!
