A 50 dollar job turned into a 750 to hydro jet and run the camera to our main sewer line, but we got another opinion and another plumber said the service had not effectively resolved the issue. We were quoted from Mike from Rooter man Plumbing 18,000 , even with AAA or Costco discounts, for repairs to address roots and cracks in the main line. After getting additional opinions, another Plumbing company from orange quoted approximately $11800 while another quoted about $16000 to 8k. We ultimately chose another company because of the unresolved problem and the significant price difference. The $750 literally went down the drain. Get other opinions and quotes before hiring this company. They are at least 250 dollars more expensive for hydro blasting and to 6,200 to 8000k more for the pipe work price difference for the same / comparable job. read more

Using this company for sewer drain.....felt as I were dealing with a used car guy....started above thirty grand, then discount, no sales tax....then, first time customer discount, then senior citizen discount.....$31,000 they agreed to $30,000, I signed the electronic agreement, no hard copy for me.....after signing he THEN informed me that the agreement was to the property line, not city hookup....not sure whether to have another company hook up to the city sewage or not.... Second time using Rooter Man for a clogged drain. Scheduling was easy, they arrived on time, and the clogged drain was fixed very quickly. Unfortunately, the experience felt quite unprofessional. The plumber didn't cover his shoes and walked upstairs on our carpet with work boots. He also complained about our drainpipe and shower design, suggesting very expensive replacements that are absolutely not necessary, especially since our bathroom was remodeled just a few years ago. Overall, he seemed very annoyed it was a quick, small job . Because of that, we won't use this service again. read more

Waste of time! Set up an appointment to get a quote for a plumbing repair and had to wait weeks to get someone to come out. The day of the appointment during the confirmation they said that they would be there at 9:30 but our appointment was at 12 to 2pm. I had my schedule planned so that I could be on site. Then they cancelled the whole thing because of street parking. They said that they had to have designated parking for all their tools. How many tools could they need to provide a quote? If we booked them for the service it would be very easy to secure parking for them. Also they do not give a free estimate so it's like they just don't want the work. Then they charged me $575 for a water jet, also ineffective. After that, they essentially told me I was out of luck and offered to "grind the drains" for an outrageous $5,600. I declined. For a second opinion, I called another reputable company. The technician fixed the problem within minutes using a simple snaking method, no expensive water jet or grinding needed, and for a fraction of what Rooter Man charged. In my experience, Rooter Man's approach was overpriced, ineffective, and unhelpful. Even though I had a bad experience with their customer service team at first, I was glad that GUSTAVO came to our house to look at the problem that we have. He was very polite in explaining to us the work that needed to be done. Plumbing issues are expensive no matter what but he and his team got the job done. They had to descale the pipes and push out all the debris in the pipeline, he even showed us through a camera the inside of the pipes that were cleaned. So I normally dont do reviews unless I see something above and beyond. Customer service is really the make or break for all service companies now as prices increase across the board in all industries. I have to say that while my plumbing issue at my house was costly and extensive, Daniel and Gustavo and there crew worked hard, extremely respectful and very clean. Plumping can get expensive and complicated no matter who you choose and thats why you go for customer service and people that work there butts off for the customer. In the end of my major plumping issue ( main line pipe burst and descale and rejuvenation) it was not cheap, if your looking for cheap plumping your gonna get cheap work they actually worked with me on the price to get the job done right, these men where professional, thats what stood out to me. I would ask for Gustavo if possible, his crew was great. Daniel was his supervisor, right way I could tell he was military, straight shooter all the way, no up sells no issues just did the work and completed exactly on time. In an industry that is plagued with issues about cost, time frames and workmen-ship my crew delivered. I hope this review finds its way to a corporate level so they can be made an example of professionalism within your company. Im a local firefighter and very familiar with most trades ( obviously this was not a project to do myself, to complex) so take my advice as I have some experience. They advertise $49 to unclog a drain as long as it has cleanout access. I told plumber Ralph that he could use the knockout outside OR could go in from under sink which would be easier. He chose the easier route and the job couldn't have been easier. Then he told me the price would be $129 instead of $49 as advertised AND as quoted to me. I refused to pay the inflated amount, and ultimately the company honored the $49 price, but I feel like every plumber is a con man who tries to bully customers into paying more. read more

First the good. They were very responsive to my request for a main line clog and were out within the hour. However, the plumber told me he was "unable" to clean the clog because of an obstruction and that he'd come the next morning with a camera to figure out why. I was told I had a collapsed pipe and that there was a complete blockage to the city line. I was also quoted to de-scale my house lines. The total for both was close to $12k. I declined and had an honest plumber easily clear the blockage that Rooter Man was unable to do along with videoing my lines to confirm that I did NOT have a collapsed pipe (which according to Rooter Man, had to be done otherwise all my sewage would backup right into my house) and that my house drains were all within acceptable limits. Having them come out was a complete waste of time. Lesson learned. Do not call the discount place. They're looking for the big repairs, whether it needs it or not. read more
