Superior airport eatery! Good drinks and an eclectic menu. Service was good! We saw people sit down, read the menu, and leave. Not for everyone. But if you want to try something fresh that's different from every other airport restaurant you have tried, this is the place!

Yum! For airport food, this was one of the better spots we've tried. We stopped in just before lunchtime, which worked out perfectly since we were able to order from the breakfast/brunch menu. We got the Denver breakfast sammies, and they were HUGE and delicious. The breakfast potatoes were warm and perfectly seasoned--definitely a highlight. The only minor downside was that the English muffins weren't toasted, but everything else made up for it. We were seated quickly, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food came out fast. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the Denver airport!

I love being early for a flight because it means I get to go to Rootdown! I love their breakfast tacos and they never disappoint! Friendly service and chill ambiance- I love how they have both seats for 1, just thoughtful!

Decent airport dining. The server was really nice and service was quick! I got a coffee and breakfast burrito. The burrito was okay not super flavorful and lots of egg. It was large and could be shared.

Root Down is one of my favorite Denver restaurants so it's always a treat to be able to grab a bite at the airport when I wasn't able to stop in town. Arepas and carrot soup are my favorites, with a Beet Down cocktail. Always delicious, always friendly staff, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of an airport. Well curated and quirky decor set the scene for a good time, every time.

The food was really good ... her attention and willingness to make sure I was good goes far and beyond , great service Burger is for sure recommended.... For airport restaurant, this place for sure knows how to do it .... Gave a very chill fun vibe

Airport food is expensive yardy know! But root down got a deliciousss yogurt parfait with blueberries, dried coconut flakes, almond butter, and creamy yogurt. I also got a side of half avocado and 2 scrambled eggs which were hearty and just what I needed :-). Service was friendly and quick to take my order. Dining in would take 10 minutes and 45 minutes to get your order which they provided this disclaimer when you were being put on the waitlist. The inside was clean with lots of seating and I really loved their menu options and variety. Would definitely want to try their goat salad, banh mi, and soups next time.

Great food as always even has a kids menu. The Buddha bowl is bursting with fresh flavors from edamame, watermelon radish, Sprouts, beets and cukes. The peanut sauce has a bit of a kick to it. The chicken tenders and fries for kids are very crispy. The portions seem very generous especially the Buddha bowl, which I barely made a dent and packed most of it to go. The restaurant itself could use some TLC. The floors are sticky and the seats have seen better days (some seating pads are ripped at places). Service was top notch from start to finish and the server was on top of everything. Food and drinks came out fast despite busy lunchtime. Overall, a good experience at DIA for a family meal. It's not cheap by any means but it's the airport.

We were seated within a couple minutes. Very nice staff. We placed our order. We were so pleasantly surprised. We split a burrito and it was enough for both of us. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Root Down is, without a doubt, the best food I've ever had in an airport. The folks at the host stand seated me quickly in a cute little table right by the front walkway--GREAT for people-watching. My server brought me water quickly, and gave me great advice to try the noodle bowl over the farro Caesar salad, despite it being the Ides of March. The kefir peanut dressing was a little spicy, perfectly balanced, and everything was obviously incredibly fresh. I don't fly through this airport often, but if I get the chance to come through C terminal again, I'll be right back at Root Down!

This was a real oasis for my 2 hour layover. I was just going to get a drink but the friendly bartenders made it comfortable to add food. He checked on my flight time and relayed typical time to get food, and it came quickly as promised. My al pastor tacos were simple and delicious on very freshly made flour tortillas topped with crumbles of white Mexican cheese. I wouldn't hesitate to get more adventurous next time. everyone around me was raving about the food, the salmon bowl, etc. The menu is fresh, healthy but also cravable. Vegan and GF are clearly marked. The long beer list is put together thoughtfully. Prices are very reasonable. Full bar too. Really everything is done with care down to the hostess walking me to a bar seat where it was bustling but they take care of you. Employee owned, I see. If you have time go, and if not, there's a grab-n- go counter.

I love that even with the place so crowded and full of guests, I got seated so fast! I love the business class like ergonomic tables for one, theres a space thought of for suitcases and that was pretty cool! Service was fast and friendly, got my Moroccan Salmon bowl and the garlic taste was so fulfilling! Love the plate, it was fantastic and the only thing missing was no one offered a drink / like isn't that from the start? I waved at a helpful random server for water... I could have ordered something else but I understand they can forget to ask. It was great food, great view and ambiance and my palate was satisfied! Thank you for an awesome dinner! Great job team!

We were doing a long layover at Denver Airport so we decided perhaps we should have some dinner. After looking up all the options in our area near our departure gate, we decided Root down DIA would be our choice. It's kind of in the main open area of the terminals with Southwest flights. There's a bar area and it's pretty open so it's not the quietest of areas. We were seated pretty quickly near the front. After perusing the menu which had a variety of options we decided on a Buddha bowl with crispy chicken and Banh mi turkey burger with sweet potato fries. I am so glad we got the dressing on the side as it was definitely more "spicy" for my mom who cannot handle spicy food. The bowl was very large and could easily feed 2 people. The banh mi turkey burger was surprisingly good. The fries were okay. Service was okay. Our water refill was kind of lacking. We easily paid with a credit card. Overall, it was not a bad option for dinner.

Great bartender, tasty food. cocktails…read more I asked the bartender to make an a custom NA drink and he made me something tasty. He also recommended rhe carnitas tacos. They had a good flavor. I was kind of missing a side item though.. something small and salty would have accompanied this plate well. The bar is nice, modern, and in a location where you have some views of the outside.

"Which is more the classic style anyway." The drink had green flakes in it and was extremely watered down, complete with ice chips. My husband tried it and agreed, so I told Jamie I didn't like it. I ordered a canned cider instead. Jamie goes off about how it's a very spirit forward drink and I should've ordered something sweeter. He suggested an old fashioned for the next time. I let him know I regularly order manhattans, and this one was watery. As he scoffed and said something about how that's "impossible because it's made of nothing but booze", he breaks the glass while dumping it. After setting down my cider, he still pushes that I should ask for sweeter drinks. The lady sitting a couple of seats over says, "it's weird that he won't let it go. You made the drink wrong; like, it happens". Anyway, I'm only making this review because he ignored us completely afterward, which is why there's no picture. And Andrew was amazing to watch. I wish I'd have asked him for a drink but he was working the opposite end when all this was happening. I've managed bars and restaurants for over a decade and bartended for longer. This was the weirdest and most unprofessional experience I've had in a long time.

Like most hotel bars, the drinks and food can be expensive, but the bartenders are on point with the cocktails.
