Food was tasty and portions copious. Especially loved the chili special. Staff was great. Will definitely return.

I really liked this place. The gluten free options were delicious. My son with Celiac enjoyed everything. The staff was welcoming.

Going to Bango Bowl on 3/31 was a pleasant experience. Now if I gave this review, June 2021 it'd be…read morean entirely different saying with one star. Back then, they used to sell steal cut oats. The oats were delicious in my opinion, I guess because I would devour any bowl of oatmeal at any given day of the week with no complaints, the thing that gave it one star back then was the customer service. It sucked tremendously. I'd walk in and the person washing dishes would look up to see who came in and continued washing dishes. I walked out on several occasions and that sealed the deal for me. On 4/3/26 I decided to return after a 6 year hiatus. I was craving oatmeal so I came in to get a to go order and WOW! Talking about transformation. The restaurant was properly staffed, with about 3 workers. Why am I ecstatic, the person said hi, how may I help you. I knew right then and there that change had occurred. I asked for the oatmeal and they informed me that they don't have it. So the owner and I sparked up a conversation about the transformation of Bango Bowl and how they revised the menu and retrained the staff. I purchased a Southwest sunrise wrap for breakfast and I returned for lunch to get the Mediterranean avocado bowl. Yummy! On 04/06 I returned for lunch. I would be staying this time. There were two customers in the front chating and 2 workers. I got the chicken fajita bowl. Each time I ate here the food was great and really tasty. No complains about the taste. But I was a little disappointed. I had to look for a clean table. Improvements- instead of the employees relaxing while there's only 2 customer in house, clean the tables and then relax! Pro-Tip, sign up for the reward system to get a discount and you may want to grab the southwest wrap. You can thank me later. So 3 stars rounded up to 4 stars only because improvements are still needed. I feel the workers should take the initiative to clean and keep a tidy store even when the manager's not there. But still ... Inspire more, Yelp more!

Okayyyyyy, Bango, okayyyyyy…read more I've been to Bango a few times (different locations) for their smoothie bowls. I never had a salad before but now there's no turning back. I had one of their signature salads and it was DELICIOUS and a huge portion. It was a solid $10 less than what I spend on the same thing at salad spots in the city. I ordered online and it was ready really quickly too.

I saw that there was a new ice cream parlor in Larchmont and I got very excited…read more My excitement occurred because this was a closer ice cream parlor for people that lived on the west side of town. And I would have to walk far for a fro yo or ice cream. There was a Red Mango across the street from Lanford Ice cream which is about a mile and a half going east in Larchmont Ave until it end at Palmer Ave at the intersection. There was Rita's Italian ice for the people on the North end, about 1 mile and a half away, and then there is Carvel's in the next town of New Rochelle going south on Boston Road about 2 and a half miles away. Or you can go in a store and get ice cream. But who wants that? So I walked in and saw that this parlor was spacious with beautiful furniture. I stepped to the counter and eyes were on me. A bunch of teenager's are running the place. One girl and guy were standing together behind the counter to my left. My fist time here so I don't know the procedures. I'm at the counter and the girl walks toward me as she was going to take my order, instead she starts looking down at the counter acting as if she was doing something. The guy look at her, looked at me, back at her and I told him I had questions. After I informed him that this was my first time there, he gave me the 411. They have several flavors and two almond milk flavors. I chose the peanut butters yogurt and one of the almonds vanilla flavor. They also had a lot of toppings, I chose the chocolate crunch topping. The fro yo goes by weight and they have sectioners so you can get 2 to 3 different kinds of frozen yogurt and not mix them. I thought this froze yogurt would have some flavor, even the peanut butter was bland, HOW? The crunch chocolate syrup had more flavor than the frozen yogurt. Improvement are needed, I'm suggesting that customer service training for every custom; black, white, red, or blue, make them feel like they are wanted. I normally spend $100 on gift cards for a special friend and his family for a birthday gift, but the way I was treated, I wouldn't want anyone I know to go there on my recommendation. No way! I prefer they go on there own. I guess a gift card for another ice cream parlor will keep them away to avoid being disappointed. 2 and a half star down to 1 and a hand but yelp only give whole stars so they get two But .. Thank you, Nikita! My husband and I worked at a couple of Michelin star restaurants when NOVELLE…read moreCUISINE was all the rage. It was an exercise and torture. I'm sure you've never heard of him because you're too young, but we worked for JAQUES MAXIMUM. A little Napoleon that could get the same results even better results without screaming constantly! Nothing like being the only woman in the kitchen and having a bunch of Frenchman, screaming obscene words at you in both English and French. Why I tolerated that I still don't know I really wanted to learn. I was on the line with Alfred Portale, and was his commis. He opened his extremely successful restaurant after Jacque decided he had had enough and went back to France. He came every two weeks straight from the airport and started screaming before he even saw anyone down the long hallway. I'm truly not kidding. Alfred warned me don't look the CHEF in the eye. I think that's the first thing he ever said to me. Then the Anita Hill hearings happens and the backlash was incredible. They would sexually harass me every day and then ask me was I going to sue them? I'm not a violent person, but I felt like taking a kitchen knife and never mind. This was my first job in a good Kitchen and the manager had cocaine running out of his nose when he was telling me that I was only worth three dollars an hour. I didn't go to some fantasy school. I went to the school of hard knocks. My husband and I spoke to Mark a very nice guy, at least to us. Most people don't want to get any feedback and that's a big mistake. We gave him. Our feedback thanked him and left it at that he thanked us as well. We really were restaurant consultants. It's so easy to see what's wrong in the kitchen and what's dangerous in the kitchen at first glance and then when you dig deeper, oh my gosh, it's a wonder we even eat out anymore. If people saw what went on behind the scenes, they would never ever eat out, but we know ROOT 2 RISE is not we repeat not like that. You also sell some great crackers. We can't find anywhere else. We kept the box it is called BETTER BUCKWHEAT. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND NOT TERRIBLY OVERPRICED. I think someone might be making mistake when stalking the shelves for crackers and other snacks. Two wonderful ladies were sitting right in front of where the snacks are and when they started looking, we found a few items that are not vegan at all. We don't know how to send this privately, otherwise we would. Phone is terribly compromised. We love your Restaurant and wanted to succeed more than you can believe. We both have been vegan since 1996. We were both vegetarians at about age 11. We really appreciate your great work. Sorry we are terrible at technology and also the phone. She ain't so great.
