Continues to be solid brunch location. Food is always of high quality but as far as negatives, parking in the area is horrible, place has nice vibe but very loud and my server kind of disappeared as things got busy and didn't seem to care.

13 of us made a reservation ahead, for a lovely Saturday brunch. The back room was decorated with a tasteful chandelier and all things rooster. Food we shared fig and Prosciutto pizza, nice bleu cheese kick! Delish! However 4 of us split 2 of the french toast bake, this was a let down. Burnt taste. The Caesar salad came out in an adorable white bowl. It was a google worthy purchase. Cute surprise. Birthday fudge tart with decadent caramel was quite the indulgence. Shared a bite with each@ the table . Service decent service, could have asked for more drinks/ or refills, was not as attentive as typical when sitting @ Bar Ambiance

First time going here for an event with friends and so glad I was able to check it out! I have not heard of it before and actually drove past it because it's not advertised well on the building. The menu changes every few weeks which gives you a reason to visit often! The inside is big and it accommodates larger groups for dinner and the bar area is big too. Staff was all friendly and food was served very quickly.

    1. Ambiance- The cutest establishment. It's like Industrial + Rustic + Chic vibes all in one. Definitely instagram worthy for pictures! 2. Service- Lucia was our waitress and she was a pleasure! It was all of our first time here, so she took time to explain and recommend certain items! She came back often to check on us, and overall was super pleasant. 3. FOOD!!!- everything was literally amazing. Spicy caesar salad 10/10. It was worth noting separately because it was just that good!! Enough to share with the table (we had a party of 6). As you can see from the pictures, we got a little bit of everything. Some were shareable (pizza + french toast bake), others were ordered separately. NO ONE had complaints. Just try it for yourself. 4. DRINKS- Red Sangria, Pineapple and Strawberry Mimosas, Fresh Start. All delicious TO NOTE: Both the dinner and brunch menus change. I recommend checking the website and socials for the frequency and to get an idea of what's being served before you go. For example, the brunch menu this week was much more palatable than the dinner menu. So, we opted for brunch. I suggest making reservations because it was consistently packed. Suggestion: I understand the menus change, but it would be nice if there was a small description of the entrees on the menu....for allergy purposes, or just preference. We weren't sure what some of the items entailed, so we either had to google or ask our waitress. But even googling may not be accurate as there were quite a few chef's touches not necessarily listed. Overall excellent Sunday brunch! Would def recommend

Loved the curated menu, looks like they change it frequently here. The ambiance is very nice and perfect for a night out, I can see this being awesome for brunch too. Bruce and their team there is so nice and accommodating, he made our visit!

Interesting and delicious dishes, very unique. Loved the red salad! Professional staff and open airy atmosphere. Definitely worth it for a great night out.

Finally made it to roost! Easily accommodated our large group of ten for a birthday brunch. Music and vibes were great! Food was also well plated and delicious but definitely a little on the pricier side. The staff were so friendly and great but service was extremely slow- something I've heard from my friends who frequent there to seems like an ongoing issue. Only giving four stars because of the slow service and unfortunately one of my friends had to send her meal back because there was a hair in it but they did rectify it with a percentage off and a new plate.

Unique & upbeat aesthetic, amazing brunch food- French toast bake, breakfast 3 bean chili, egg & bacon risotto were all amazingly satisfying. Brunch menu changes weekly. Pomelosa - grapefruit elderflower mimosa- perfect accompaniment. Make reservations!

    Roost's Pierogies & Kielbasa

Easily our favorite restaurant in Buffalo. Super inventive menu with regular updates. Have had some of our favorite dishes anywhere at Roost. Excellent drink menu. Recently had their take on Pierogi and Kielbasa that elevated this dish to a whole new level. Space is also great and lots of bar seating available too.

I recently went to brunch here with a group of friends. We were seated right away, as we had a reservation and had a view of the entire restaurant, which was nice. I like to see what is going on. Roost is decorated wonderfully, their food is inventive and fantastic and the drinks are great. The service is also perfect. The one complaint I do have is that there are no descriptions on the menu of what dishes they are serving for brunch. This leads to many questions to the wait staff. It would be beneficial for all to have the description on the menu, no matter how uncool Roost thinks that practice is. I'm sure the wait staff doesn't want to describe every single dish 100s of times a day. It can get exhausting. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and drink choices. I went with a Bloody Mary and it was great. My one friend ordered the gluten free pizza on cauliflower crust and enjoyed it. I had the salmon dish and it was DIVINE. The salmon was done perfectly and I want to eat that every day. This is salmon I have dreams about and want to get back to Roost to brunch ASAP. My boyfriend had a lemon and ricotta pizza and enjoyed it. Most at the table had the breakfast pizza and loved it. This is a great spot for brunch and to bring out of town guests, or to make reservations for you and your friends and treat yo 'self.

This place continues to impress me with a creative menu and attention to detail in all of their dishes. This sausage pasta concoction had just the right amount of heat with peppers and other spices and the tender clumps of sausage. Portion is huge, plenty of extra for a doggie bag to enjoy the next day. Service is always attentive and ready to refill your beverages.

Hubs and I came for dinner with four friends a couple weeks back and though it was a splurge, I have no regrets. Everything I had was delicious. We had: Focaccia Roasted Carrots Wagyu strip Rhubarb Panna Cotta Pineapple Pavlova I also had a Freakin' Beacon mocktail. Everything was SO GOOD. That focaccia was like no other focaccia I'd ever had but was delicious; crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The steak (med rare) was perfect to me, hubs thought it was a tiny bit too rare for him. It was super tender and easy to eat, perfect char. I couldn't eat the chimmichurri it came with as it has Thai basil (not usual in chimmichurri, but I'm allergic, and the server was very good about asking about allergies) but honestly, it didn't need it. That steak stood on its own. Both desserts were delicious, but to my surprise I think the pavlova was even better than the panna cotta (and I love panna cotta). The portions were very generous and I was pretty stuffed by the time I got home. Our portion of the bill was over $200 (hubs also had some cocktails and the steak alone was almost $90) but it was so good, we'll want to come back when we're in town for sure.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

The service was very good and it's a cute spot that I'd be willing to come back to. The best thing we had BY FAR were the beef croquettes. These were perfect, and I could have made a meal out of them. They had a tender birria like shredded meat inside with some cheese and probably some potato, I can't even remember but I do remember that everyone loved these. We also ordered asparagus, the Korean Fried Chicken, the shrimp with potatoes (all small plates) and one of my friends ordered the duck entree. My husband and friends had cocktails and mocktails; I didn't order one because they said they had nothing that was sweet. Incidental pet peeve: Saying "all our cocktails are balanced". I get it, you want to brag. But, some of us like things that are sweet, or as in the case of one of my friends, decidedly NOT sweet. If all of your cocktails are balanced the same way, it gives little useful info on what to order. I will respond to this by NOT ordering and sticking to tap water. I'd prefer it if you have a little something sweet and a little something not-sweet on the menu for those of us who don't actually want "perfectly balanced". That said, I did have a sip of the cocktails the others ordered. To my surprise, I liked the Broken Garden Tools. Though it wasn't particularly sweet it was also not super sour/tart and it was refreshing. I *could* have ordered that one, but I never would have known it from the description. I didn't like any of the others I tasted, but I can't remember what those were. Since I don't like whisky and I prefer sweet drinks, don't take this to mean that they don't have good drinks - the others enjoyed theirs, they just weren't to MY taste. Of the other dishes, I liked the cabbage that was on my friend's duck plate (I didn't try the duck). The asparagus was fine. The shrimp and potatoes was ok but not as good as I'd hoped for. And honestly, I didn't love the KFC. It didn't seem to be twice-fried and super crispy like KFC should be, and the sauce to me wasn't balanced between the sweet and spicy flavors I prefer. However, my husband liked it very well. The only other thing I'd caution is to double check ingredients. There was a dish ordered (I can't remember which now, some kind of bread maybe, but not listed as a bruschetta) that said it contained rosemary among other things but did not list basil. We saw no rosemary at all, but a lot of basil, which I can't eat. So I didn't have any. The others shared it. I would have been more disappointed had it been my selection. My friend noted that the server did not ask us about any food allergies, which, if your menu doesn't accurately list its contents, is problematic. Fortunately I know what basil looks like so no harm done. All in all, I would return, get lots of croquettes, order a Broken Garden Tools, and maybe try some other things we didn't get to. But I'd double check all the ingredients.
