After having issues with them last year due to their staff not updating records we gave them another opportunity this year and once again, they proved they are a vet to avoid. For a second year in a row our dog's records were not updated correctly and services performed were not on record, forcing us to come back in for another appointment so that we could order our dog's annual medicine. They do not care about your animal but rather just get you to come in as frequently as possible. Sad to see what used to be a good vet gone.

But sadly my experience was not what I expected. I used their boarding services twice, the first time it was okay, no issues, the second time my dog came back home not looking like himself, very down and acting odd... a few hours after we got back he threw up literally everything inside him... I had never seen him throw up that much! When we called Gully to ask if he was acting off, or if he ate something abnormal or if they noticed anything unusual their response was that he was perfectly fine, no issues at all... which was frustrating because if I were to make an appt to see the vet (at the same place) the first thing the vet would ask is: where was the dog? did he eat normal? Did you notice something unusual? And my answers would have been: he was at your clinic and I have no other answers for you. So I let it go and he was fine a few days later. Then I took him for grooming and two things happened: 1. They called and said his ears were infected and he needed to be treated but went ahead and did the treatment ($300) before my husband said OKAY. So they didn't wait for us to approve the treatment. 2. He was sent home with 2 big, burns/cuts on both his ears and didn't care to tell us that they either burn him or cut him...couldn't tell what it was... bottom line the scabs got infected and they were not accountable for what happened, didn't even apologize, even tried to tell me it happened when he was NOT in their care which is completely false and also said it was probably because of him shacking his head... which is absurd!! The scabs were huge and very thick!!! That can't happen because he shakes his head! He went in perfectly fine, they sent him home with 2 burns/cuts that were NOT there before and I noticed the very next morning. They were rude about it when I brought it up, zero accountability which made me immediately stop going there. I hope everyone's experience is better but wanted to share my own.

The staff makes notes about what you say on the phone with them because they can be used later against you. It seems like the staff doesn't believe what we tell them. We were accused of taking a script from the office when we never saw it. The staff thought we were lying and it made us uncomfortable and we felt like we couldn't trust them. They don't act professional. I was disappointed in them and saddened the day my Chihuahua died at the vet's office. On Tuesday, we noticed that our 13-year-old Chihuahua, Shorty, was not eating or drinking water, So we tried to make an appointment on Wednesday, but there were no appointments. we got the earliest appointment we could get which was at 7:30 on Thursday morning for Dr. Owen. That next day, my husband dropped Shorty off at the Vet's office at 7:20. Thirty minutes later I received a call from Dr. Owen at 8:05 apologizing because Shorty had passed away alone, in her pet carrier, in an exam room where she had been for 30 minutes. At least Sarah (the doctor mentioned her name) when she was working on the computer could have checked on her periodically and they could have gotten her out of the pet carrier. I would have stayed and held her if I'd known the Veterinarian wasn't going to be there until 8:00 am. Dr. Owen said she was very sorry, but it didn't help much. If you care about bringing your pets to an animal hospital that loves their animals, then I recommend going somewhere else. Animal Hospital of Ovilla does not care about your pets like it says on the website but only about their service fees!

The first time, the emergency vet worked with them and they sent me updates and delivered the remains after a couple weeks. Unfortunately, I lost another cat the day before Thanksgiving. It was unexpected and traumatic and I had no idea what to do. I knew everything would shut down for the holidays and I would not emotionally survive almost a week with my dead cat in my freezer. I called Peaceful Pets distraught and asked if there was anything I could do. They were closing early, but said if I got there ASAP, they could take his remains. I drove over and they were so nice. Even letting me take a few moments to say goodbye since it all happened so quickly. I got my remains about 3 weeks later delivered to my house, which is so convenient. The packaging was wonderful. The pricing was reasonable and I appreciate the more environmentally friendly cremation service. I hope I don't have to contact them again for a very long time, but I recommend them to others for sure!

I walked in 20 min to close. I was immediately greeted with a smile. I was then assisted to find what I needed for my animals. I bought vaccines and was asked how far of a drive I had. When I answered, they dug an ice pack out for me and included it at no extra charge. The cost of everything here is very reasonable and good quality. The vaccines are the same manufacturer as the ones my vet uses.
