While it is a pet parent's worst nightmare to have to say goodbye to their baby, the staff at Peaceful Pets DFW was amazing. My baby Casper passed away on Sunday and we were able to make an appointment to come in Monday as they closed about 5 minutes after I called (grief has you not paying attention to those things). Our cats have a dog door that they use to go outside in the backyard at their leisure. Casper hated the thing and always made us open the back door for him. I found him outside in the backyard in the morning after letting him inside the night prior, leading us to believe he conquered his fear of the dog door to pass away peacefully in the yard watching the sunrise as evidence does not point to anything else. Since he passed outside and was not found for a couple hours, his stomach was not very pretty when he was found (thanks vultures for permanently scaring me). I say all of this to say that Peaceful Pets DFW fixed him up and covered him so that I could say goodbye. They were incredibly patient and kind, never pressured us to purchase anything we did not want to, and closed up shop for a moment so I could say goodbye to my baby. I cannot thank them enough for their kind words, their emotional regulation while I was sobbing on the phone making the appt, and that they offer aquamation which saves the environment but still allows me to bring my baby home. To the employee who worked Easter and took my call at almost 4pm on 4/5 and the employee that assisted me at 8:30AM 4/6, thank you thank you thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and understanding. No one wants to need pet cremation services, but that makes it even more important to work with a good place when you do. My kid recently lost his little conure unexpectedly - the sweetest, silliest, best little dude full of personality. Parrots are good company, and he was one of the fam. It hit especially hard because, as my kid said, "he was supposed to meet my kids, we should have had 20 years together". Given all that, he was not okay with a backyard funeral or other kind of burial - he wanted to have him near. I start researching our options, and I learn about aquamation - essentially the same end result as being cremated, but done in liquid instead of fire. It is way less environmentally damaging, and just seemed right for us as soon as I read about it. These folks are so kind, so understanding, and so accommodating. We were a mess, but it was comforting to leave our little guy with a very empathetic person who showed us a great deal of kindness while being completely professional. The price is very reasonable, much less than I would have expected (pricing is by weight, which makes sense). There are urn options, if you wish to add that in, but there was zero pressure to do so when we declined (my kid likes to build things, so he will make him a little box himself). All in all, I appreciated these people for their help during an emotional time. read more

Best decision I made for my sweet girl Cocoa was to put her in the good hands of Peaceful pets, I was away on vacation when my poor Cocoa passed away, getting the bad news was so devastating for me I didn't want animal control to take her because they were going to dispose of her , I immediately started looking online and came across Peaceful Pets, Lupe was so helpful assuring me they would take care of my Cocoa, her kind words soothed me so much, I a few hrs after finding out the bad news someone from Peaceful Pets was picking her up, and that gave me so much peace in a time of grieving, and feeling hopeless being so far away, Lupe and her staff took care of things for me and I am so grateful places like that and people like Lupe and staff exist , the memorial Urns are beautiful, Peaceful Pets made things easy for me, they are kind and very professional you will not regret putting your fur babies in their hands. read more

I never in a million years expected to lose my precious puppy the way I did. My Jack Russell (Toby) and my dachshund/pekingese (Zeke) was bit by a rattlesnake. I was clueless where to go or what to do, I just recently moved here, so I called Peaceful Pets after seeking advice on facebook. The ladies and a gentleman at Peaceful Pets helped me through this tragedy of losing my baby, and preparing for the loss of my other little guy if that occurred. It's never easy to plan this stuff! I am forever grateful for their kindness and hospitality they showed during the past week and a half. Toby survived and is back to his normal self. And we just got Zeke's ashes back yesterday! Peaceful Pets personnel were extremely caring from the 1st call I made thru my picking up my pet, Napa's remains. Cheyenne and Lupe were kind, professional and supportive each encounter I had with them either by phone or in person. Both of them were respectful and gentle with Napa' s body when I took her in and when I picked up her remains. Additionally, I appreciated their working with me as I needed to reschedule my appointments due to personal issues including my getting lost when I took Napa and when I picked up her ashes. Napa was just couple of months away from her 20th birthday. She became a part of our family when she was 5/6 weeks old. Lupe and Cheyenne worked to make this aspect of her death easier. I lost my fur child two weeks ago and it was by far the worst thing that has ever happened to me and Tessa was beyond wonderful helping me through everything. I can't say enough about how amazing and caring this crew is. They were very personable and easy to talk to, and completely understanding of our ( what I considered) unusual situation. My cat had passed away several years prior, but at the time I couldn't afford to get him cremated, so he was safely sealed and boxed in my freezer until I could. Our homes power died, and would be off for a significant amount of time, and I realized I could finally afford to get him processed, so we got in touch with Peaceful Pets to get him taken care of. The staff there was very helpful for me to make my decision Between cremation Vs aquamation. They are Very kind and compassionate. I had my (feline)Monet for 13 years. I have done cremation in the past for my animals, however when I read the process of aquamation I felt this would be a cleaner and more environmentally way for me to decide, after all saving animals and the planet is a huge factor for me. My daughter's pet snake passed away. Even though it was small they were still able to aqua cremated it. The staff was very thoughtful and caring while talking is threw the process. Thay handle him with care and was considerate With my daughters feelings. I thought it was very thoughtful of the staff to treat the snake the same as a dog or cat show us respect for her pet snake .
