She was approximately 8 weeks old and we loved her beyond measure. She had a sister and me and my sister both landed on Sabrina. God lead us to her and for what ever reason he knew she would need us. Approximately at 9 months old she started having some diarrhea and through a multitude of Vet and Animal Hospital visits testing would show she lymphoma. Rare for a pup. Our best prepared us for a rolller coaster if good days and bad days and we were absolutely blessed with really good days up until last week. On a business trip my sister called and said Sabrina wasn't feeling well and was laying down in the corner of the laundry room. She never slept in there. I arrived back home Wednesday morning and she didn't come to the door to greet as she always did. I went to her and she was at her normal place underneath my chair and I gently greeted her and she wiggled her little tale. She died 12 hours later. Her little body had enough. She was our best Friend and we loved her deeply. Her big sissy has been looking for her everyday. At 3:00 am I discovered Precious Pets Crematory and completed their online inquiry. 7:00 am the owner called me. He was awesome and talked me through the options. I told him I would be there by 10:00 and said his daughter would be waiting on me. When I arrived she was kind and understanding. She could see and feel our pain. We received word that Sabrina was ready to be picked up today. Coordinated a time and it went exceptionally well. Not only did we get an engraved urn, but they included her paw print and a sample of her hair. Me and my sister cried...bawled. My last words to This very sweet lady was that I hope I never see her again. Lovingly she understood what I was saying. In life, the love we have for our pets last us a lifetime. Peaceful Pets picked up our amazing and beautiful fur baby on Monday afternoon, June 15th to have…read moreher aquamated. I called Peaceful Pets 3 times on the 15th of June to make arrangements and asked for her favorite towels and toys to be placed in the aquamation machine with her. They told us that they can be placed into the machine with her, but they will not dissolve. We understood that and asked if they could just place those items in the machine with her at least. They agreed to do this. We asked for the towels and toys to be returned to us so we could put those items (wet or dry did not matter) on the shelf alongside her urn. 2 of the Ladies that answered the phone when we made the arrangements added those wishes into the notes in the computer (bold and larger fonts). 3 times I called to make sure the notes were in the system for the people in the back to see who were doing the aquamation. 3 times I was told that the notes were in it. We even took the most expensive package they offered and chose a different urn than the one that was in that package. We chose one that looked like a White Angel Bear with Wings (our fur baby was a longhair domestic baby who looked like a Persian). My husband always said that she looked like a little Teddy Bear, that is the reason we chose the Angel Bear Urn. When we received her urn back that Friday, June 19th, 2026, we noticed that her towels and favorite toys were not in the bags we received back from Peaceful Pets. I called them and asked them about those and where they were. I was told that the towels and her favorite toys were thrown away like trash. The arrangements and our last wishes were ignored completely and basically overflown when they read what was in the system. HOW CAN THIS BE OVERFFLOWN WHEN IT IS BOLD AND WAS WRITTEN WITH A LARGER FONT????? This is completely unacceptable!!!!!!!! We are so hurt by this. First, we lost our beloved fur baby completely unexpectedly and then our last wishes were ignored like they did not matter. We wanted those things back because they belonged to our fur baby and NOT Peaceful Pets! Those were not Peaceful Pets things to do with what they felt should be done with them (throwing them away like trash). Those were supposed to be put onto the shrine we created. Those were her and our last wishes! We were also told TWICE that someone from Peaceful Pets would call us back to explain how this could have happened. Well!!! WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THAT CALL (FOR THE LAST 5 WEEKS)! Peaceful Pets does not care at all. We even took the largest package they had, which was the Platinum Private Package because our fur baby meant the world to US!!! We did not put the toys in there with her because our "Trashcan" was full or we did not have any other way of disposing those!!! THOSE WERE HER TOWELS AND TOYS, AND NOT PEACEFUL PETS THINGS! And again, there was no phone call from the Supervisor explaining how this could have happened after we were told on June 19th that those items were disposed of by the people doing the aquamation. We called Peaceful Pets again 2 times a week later and were again told that we would receive a call from the Supervisor about how and why this happened. Again, that was 5+ weeks ago. Still no phone call. They care about the money but not about the fur-babies they are supposed to take care of during the aquamation process. On their website, it states: "We will care about your fur baby like we would our own"! If they care about other grieving pet parents' babies like they do their own, I feel very sorry for their pets! Those people who did this do not have any business working at an aquamation or cremation for pet company! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! We are still very hurt and very angry. We trusted our fur baby to Peaceful Pets DFW in Arlington, TX and now would not even bring a plant to them to be re-planted! Absolutely horrible Aquamation Place!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone we interacted with was so genuinely kind and caring in helping me prepare the details, they didn't rush me or anything. I opted to get his name engraved as well and a clay print of his paw - that, plus the very nice box for his ashes, pickup, and drop-off would end up around $300 all told, and that was already wonderful. But they included material about the rainbow bridge, including resources for counseling and dealing with grief (I luckily already have someone, but am extremely grateful and happy to see that addition,) a packet of wildflower seeds to grow, a small envelope sort of package with a window in which they had placed some of his fur (which absolutely made me bawl when I saw it,) and a tag with his name engraved - this also made me cry happily, as they chose a red heart which is actually exactly the same nametag he had on his collar before too. I was actually not home that day, and my father offered to receive it, and tells me Valerie was very concerned with making sure I would be happy with it all, and I intend to call and let her, and they, know that I am. I hope I won't require their services again, but if I do, I will know that they will take utmost care and respect with my family member.

I was convinced it was hopeless because we had another dog go through this major surgery. With him, I prayed please let it pass, but it didn't. So I thought her idea of the IV and hoping that it passes was pointless. But Dr. Burtch gently talked with me. She spent enough time in the room with me that I finally said at the very last minute go do it, do all you can please. But I left there thinking I was coming back to euthanize Griffin. When she called to say, his stomach looked better and he had eaten and not thrown up...I can't tell you how happy I was. I had prayed and ask God for help, but I really did not expect it. Dr. Burtch, the staff and God are a powerful team. Dr. Burtch doesn't lose hope and shares it with those of us who are distraught and losing hope. Thank you so much Dr. Burtch and staff!!!! Griffin pooped twice with ALOT of the pillowcase fabric last night. He has eaten chicken and rice twice now and not thrown up and he's doing fine. I'm so thankful you decided to be a vet Dr. Burtch. My little one, Penny, had one heck of a week. We, had one heck of a week…read more My girl let me know she was in significant pain, and I raced her to the clinic. Her regular vet wouldn't be in until that afternoon, and I wasn't going to wait at her expense. They recommended Mid-cities, and I'm happy they did; they are exceptional. Upon arriving and after checking in, we waited for several minutes, then were taken back to our room. When meeting Dr. Renegar, we went over Penny's symptoms, and her treatment journey started. After her labs and X-ray, we found something was going on with her kidney. That's when it was suggested we do a US (ultrasound); unfortunately, her kidney was very sick. We came up with a treatment plan, and Penny stayed to get fluids and pain medication until Dr. Hurd was able to review her records. Once that was done, Dr. Hurd reached out to me, and we spoke about the condition of the kidney and surgery. Unfortunately, Penny had (after pathology confirmed) a stone that caused inflammation and eventually burst. What I appreciate about Dr. Hurd, she went over three different things it could have been, and that was one of them. She wanted to save the kidney, but after seeing it, that wasn't an option. I couldn't handle this issue with all emotions; I had to think clearly and logically. Dr. Hurd has been (Penny's care is still ongoing) so kind through this all. Empathetic, caring, sensitive to Penny's needs, etc. If she had her own practice, we would be there. Penny is recovering and doing very well. She has one more visit to remove her stitches and for labs. I highly recommend them if your sweet baby needs to be seen after-hours, or if your regular vet isn't available. Customer Service: The ladies up front are exceptional. As someone with a background in UC/Emergency Medicine, I can say these ladies do a very good job. They're dealing with humans AND their pets; combine those two, and you never know what you're going to get. Then, dealing with the financial part of emergency vet care, oohweee. As you're waiting in your room, they stop by in intervals to check on you. They offer beverages (hot and cold), blankets (it's cold in there), and you have a ROKU in your room while you wait. *NOTE: If you're going in the later hours (after 7), call to make sure they're still seeing patients; depending on the patient volume, they may be at capacity for the remainder of the evening. Keep in mind, they're an ER for our babies (fur), please show them grace.
