Kids clam plate - great size and price!
    Sarah C.

First time here over the weekend. The place was extremely clean, and they had lots of staff behind the counter. We came during a quiet time, but service was very quick. They have a small inside dining room and even smaller outdoor seating area. I had the clam strip dinner. The clam strips were fried perfectly, and it was a great amount of them for $18. The fries actually stole the show - they are fresh, hand cut style fries and they were perfect topped with vinegar and salt! One of my littles had the kids clam strip meal which came with a big amount of strips and fries - perfect size for a kid. My husband had the fried shrimp and said the batter was great and they were cooked just right. Their prices seem to be fairly average for most things but a bit high for clam bellies. We didn't have time to try the ice cream, but we will definitely be back!

Exceptional quality and family dedication to service and cleanliness. I searched Google for best lobster roll on my way from Amherst to Boston and Ronnie's came up on the road. The lobster was fresh, sweet, and tender on a slightly toasted roll, with crispy (looked like hand cut fries), sweet Cole slaw and a bubbling coke. The best part of my experience apart from the excellent food was chatting with the third generation nephew of the founders. The entire team behind the grill and up front, all took pride in their uniforms and the restaurant. I will make the time to stop here again when I'm back in Massachusetts. Definitely worth getting off the main highway to enjoy this delicious family owned and proud to serve seafood restaurant.

I wish I could do .5 stars because I would love to give this almost 5 stars. The restaurant was clean and the staff was kind (except for the blond girl at the front. Awful on the phone). I ordered the whole belly clam and fish combo (ask for it as it's not on the menu.) The fish was some of the BEST I've ever had! Holy cow- just amazing. Perfectly moist and flaky. The outer shell was firm and crispy, savory and needed nothing (not even tartar sauce). I'd order that and make the drive just for the fish. You will NOT be disappointed. The clams were good. Not the best I've had as the bellies were small to medium sized. But they were creamy and softly burst in your mouth with a beautiful, flavorful taste. The coleslaw was actually pretty damn surprisingly good. It had a nice, oniony, zing-y bite to it and a rich, velvety texture. I'm not even a fan of slaw but this is some of the best....and I'm extremely picky. The fries were hand cut I believe. They tasted fresh and were a perfect compliment to my crisp seafood. The roll that came with it was a delicious touch. Moist and buttery. All in all- I know I'll be back. It's definitely some of the best seafood in my immediate area. They need to open a Ronnie's on the water! That would be perfect! All in all....I'll probably be back next week. 5 stars for the fish and slaw. 4 for the whole bellies (could definitely be larger) and the price ($19+ for this combo) and 2 for the girl who answered the phone and helped me at the counter. Way to go, Ronnie's. Overall exceeded my expectations.

Tried on a whim. Hubby got fried shrimp dinner and I got fried clam dinner plus a order of clam fritters. Everything was hot and the oil was fresh! Coleslaw great and clam fritters crazy good! Don't hesitate stop here if you want seafood!

I sat myself at a table which already had breakfast menus. I requested an ice water and ordered the Denver Omelet ($9 plus tax) served with homefries & toast. The good portion of food came out hot in under 10 minutes. The omelet was soft & fluffy with a blend of ham, onions, and yellow & orange peppers. There was Tabasco sauce and Hunts Ketchup on the table for my food. The homefries were comprised of fresh cut deep fried potatoes, lightly salted. The raisin toast was a good choice with my omelet. I finished all of my food and the server brought out the check which was $9.56 with tax and before tip. Overall, my breakfast omelet was very good and tasty and the service was prompt. I would definitely come back here again for some fried seafood!

It was bustling but service was not affected. It's a casual eat like the name says but not so casual that it wouldn't be a nice place for a date. Just not super fancy and I'm ok with that. The food was really good. We started with calamari and arancini. The calamari is the best we've had. Tender and flavorful. Everything you want in seafood. This was my first arancini so I don't have much experience but it was nicely flavored. Very dense and filling. Hubby got fish and chips. It wasn't super memorable. It was fine but there is better around. I got the sampler of meatball, chicken and eggplant in the red sauce. It was very good. It was so much food we took home another meal worth of food. I recently had the fish and chips and it was the best fish I have had in quite some time. The piece of fish was huge, the batter was flavorful and the fish was cooked perfect. We love their desserts too. Their bread pudding is a good go to and my kids cannot go and skip the chocolate cake. Prices are average. They share a lot with the strip mall and the parking lot gets packed at dinner time, especially on the weekends.

Today was "date night" so when look for a new place to checkout 308 Lakeside made the list, after reading a recent article on social media about new owners, we decided to stop for a late Sunday lunch. Once we found a place to park (parking is a challenge as they are victim of their own success so be prepared) We were greeted pleasantly by the hostess and promptly seated. They had a duet performing live music of pop covers. We were seated along the window overlooking Lake Lashaway. Nice view! Our server, Payton was very helpful and patient as this was our first time. Jessica the manager stopped by the table to check on us and introduce herself, after a nice conversation about this being our first time and the article highlighting the new owner, Payton returned with our beverages (raspberry tea, root beer and water). We ordered as a starter potato skins. In due course they were brought. These potato skins had a lot of potato still in the skins- making them the perfect carrier for the generous amount of cheese and bacon. Served with sour cream. Delicious! By this time we were ready to order. I ordered the French dip with fries. This is one of my favorite sandwiches and is a rarity these days. My wife ordered the stuffed portobello mushroom and house side salad. I also the limited menu item pretzel sticks, and a bowl of their chili to share with my wife. Payton was good to check on us and keep us hydrated. After a bit of time since we ordered (nearly an hour) Jessica came over and apologized for the delay and said the food would be out shortly, and comped us a dessert. The reason was totally out of their control and has no bearing on this review. One of the kitchen staff had an immediate family member pass away, leaving the kitchen short handed. It was gracious of Jessica to comp a dessert, we weren't in any hurry it being date night. The food was delivered as promised and exceeded expectations. I have to say the French dip was a solid #3 on my top ten list of French dips I have enjoyed in my lifetime. (#1 Rio Rico Resort in 1978 AZ, #2 The Colonial Restaurant in 1974 CT) My wife's portobello mushroom was one of the best she has had (being allergic to seafood and knowing her tastes I trust her review). The chili was good and we ended up bringing home. We would make the drive just for the chili. Pretzel sticks were server hot and were very light. The mustard base dipping sauce was some of the best we have enjoyed and perfectly suited for the pretzel sticks. For dessert we shared a piece of blueberry carrot cake with whipped cream. It was a delicious ending to our meal and first visit. The only detractors was the parking which I am not sure they can do much about (only a single handicapped space), we ended having to park up the road; and a tidying up- the men's room while the fixtures were clean, the floor has layers of soil from being mopped with dirty water (easy to rectify with occasional professional cleaning) and a partial beer bottle was left on top of the towel dispenser. In the room we were seated in, the acoustic ceiling panels just need a good dusting. Like a said those are but minor observations. The food was some of the best around and the service equally a standout. Highly recommend 308 Lakeside. We will definitely be back.

The Salmon Sashimi was very good, thick slices of fresh and buttery salmon. The Fantastic Roll was good, albeit not fantastic. The menu mentioned fish roe, but I didn't see or taste any. And rounding out the good dishes was the Gyoza, which was nicely prepared, light and crispy. However, the last three dishes ranged from just okay to categorically terrible. The Spring Roll was okay, we've had better, but it was passable. The Pork Dumplings were unappetizing, the dough was much too heavy, too chewy and most of these remained uneaten and found their way into the trash. The Chicken Fried Rice was very, very dry and flavorless. My co-diner thought it was the worst fried rice she's ever eaten, and most of it was dumped in the trash.
