Owner Kevin Rondeau did come to our home to review the issues we were having accompanied by Dave, VP of construction. They promised to fix the existing issues and have the pool operational by 10/11. The pool was "finished" 10/14. Dave and Diego were present for the "final" (we had received a text from Diego stating he would be here early 10/14 - he arrived at 9:30 and Dave showed up later - I assume we were to wait all day for the explanation of the operation of the pool). We pointed out obvious issues with the "completion". There are footprints and unevenness in the PebbleSheen finish and blue bleeding into the grout lines. Dave told us the chemicals in the pool would dissipate the bleeding (do I want to swim in a pool where the chemicals are strong enough to remove the staining from grout?). Neither Dave not Diego would admit to seeing the footprints in the PebbleSheen, while everyone of our guests has provided unprovoked remarks on the finish. We are exhausted from dealing with Rondo Pools. It has been a difficult process from the beginning with lots of do-overs for shoddy, messy work and absolutely no supervision or oversight of the process by Rondo or the owner, as promised. We built our pool last summer and enjoyed it at the end of the summer and now. Originally, Rondo was great to work with but as the project continued, the communication was not great. We had problems with the gas line and we had to schedule everything for the line to be rerouted-they did not have a contact at the gas company. Everything took longer than expected but it got done. I have contacted about maintenance issues and they respond quickly. I wish they would give out a new owner's guide to owning a pool instead of directing us to youtube videos. I love the pool and would work with them again. read more

started out really good and the Pool quality is good, But the ability to complete the details goes out the window from there.The real reason for this rating is Rondos inability to complete the pool final details. Tiles falling off finally replaced after pebble sheen and so not that area looks different, Lights are not working, why was this not ever noticed? Fire pots sat for weeks on the ground, finally installed and then no gas rings, Oh wait they finally showed up 4 days after completion and are at different heights (the guy says nothing he can do about it call Rondo). The rock for the fire pots still not installed, told maybe next week (I have reached out to them numerous times) the aerator for the spa not functioning, this should have been completed. ( the spa is now functional and the aerator is now installed 9 days later) The set up was 75% done the guy had to leave and will be back next week after the holiday. I paid a lot of money for this pool and the urgency to wrap it up to any kind of satisfaction is null. very unfortunate. slow to complete with no attention to details. read more

I just wanted to extend my thanks to Kevin Rondo & his staff at Rondo Pools. Our pool was nearly 6 years-old with an expired warranty. We were having problems with our Heater & spa, which required numerous service calls and a few maintenance repairs over the last few years. Finally, our pool service company said we needed to buy a new heater. Before I spent the $3800, I reached out to Kevin Rondo. He had his team out to my house the next day, and even had a manager from Pentair out to evaluate my heater. Long story short, they fixed the problem, got our spa working properly again, and at no cost to us. That is the best customer service I have ever seen. They were under no obligation to help us, but Kevin stands by his company's product, and made sure that we were taken care of. My only regret, is that I didn't call them sooner. In the end Rondo did a great job with our project. While the communication could have been a little better, it was good to get involved and stay up to date with the project myself. Even after the build they resent out crews several time for correction and got it done right, which was excellent. For spending the extra 35% on a pool to have quality control, warranties, and a manager of the project to supervise the subcontractors, Rondo was definitely the right choice. Kevin, the owner, was accommodating in hearing me out on my concerns. After interviewing the subcontractors as well, Rondo was one of the builders they enjoy working with the most. Our pool was also completed in 50 days from signing of the agreement, which is a quick build, and by keeping our payments coming they get getting the jobs scheduled for us, we we appreciated since we have a child on the way. They are also doing our neighbors pool as well now. Good luck! read more

So pleased with Rondo Pools! Amazing customer service and follow-through! We without a doubt would hire (or recommend) Rondo for our next pool!!! Background: We are the 2nd owners of our home so we have no history per se with Rondo installing our pool. We also have never had any past issues or service concerns with our pool (it runs and looks great). However, recently we had a concern with another pool service company denying a claim for one of our filters. I called Rondo to get some clarification and was told they would look into the issue and get back to me. Not only did I immediately get a call saying they would look into this but also got a few emails noting that they would research our pool and follow-up on things. Shortly thereafter I got a detailed, thorough and thoughtful email from the CEO explaining the construction of our pool and home warranty issue at hand (bottom line a misdiagnosis by another pool service company). He didn't have to do this as he wasn't even getting any business from us, but felt the need to go the extra mile and educate us on our pool construction and explain the situation so our warranty company had the proper information to asses our claim. I now understand why they have a reputation of being the best pool builder in the area! My husband said if we ever build another pool, or refer a friend, Rondo Pools will definitely have our business! read more

We had our pool done by Rondo 4 years ago. We sold the house about 6 months ago and the Rondo pool was the highlight of the house and one of the reasons the purchased bough the host. I was extremely satisfied with the project and with Rondo. Before contacting with the Pool I checked out both the BBB.org website and the ROC AZ site and of all the pool builders here in AZ, Rondo was the only one without any complaints. Now that I've completed the project I can see why. Communication, Communication, Communication...plain and simple I was communicated with every step of the way. Quite frankly at the beginning of the process even the sales person told us about all of the negatives we should expect (tearing up the landscaping, marks on the pavement, etc.). What sales person does that before the contract is signed? Sales people normally just focus on the positive, Our sales person made sure that we had a complete picture ahead of time. The first time we went into Rondo I was quite impressed, as we were talking to the sales person the owner of the company walked by and stopped to talk with us. This is a family owned business and he told us about his philosophy of pool building. Quality is a must for them. During the beginning of the process pre contract signing and up to the start of the job I had many questions which our sales person skillfully answered and when he could not he had the owner of Rondo respond directly to me, what company does this?!?! The owner of the company responded personally to several of my emails very quickly and when I wanted an option that was only in his pool, he let me come and try out the feature in his pool. This is absolutely unheard of and it wasn't like I was buying the most expensive pool they could build, my pool build was slightly above the average pool. They only use the best sub contractors they can find. Our Super was on the job site at least once a week and during some parts was there multiple days in a row making sure everything was done right and correct. We're there issues, sure there were. After having been through the process, I can't imagine anyone having a perfect pool build but the important part was that our Super made sure the issues were dealt with and handled and taken care of. I would highly recommend Rondo Pools to anyone looking to build a pool in the Phoenix area. At completion besides all the other stuff they give you brushes, skimmer, etc they gave me a Taylor K-2005 Test Kit and spend the time to show me how to use it and talk pool chemistry with me. I have had 6 pools since I have been in the valley and have built 3 from scratch. Rondo pools like many are very nice and tell you how fast the pool will be complete to get you to sign the contract. Once signed, look out. A pool that we were told would take 10 week was closer to 20. Every time we addressed the issue we were told "we got a lot of pools going". If they are unable to accommodate this should be communicated early. Also the materials we picked stack stone, travertine etc. Once it was time to install was told we cannot find the product anymore. It seemed like the pool was a weekend project as we seen workers on Saturday once a week. The pool did finally get done after talking to Kevin Rondo multiple times but are still waiting to get punch list items taken care of which we are already a month in. You have to pay in full prior to completion and once they have your money things really slow down. Also spent $500 on a multi colored pool light. Light very nice but it does not come with a proper light switch as they want another $300 for the basic color coded switch. This is also not mentioned when purchasing. Who would think that you spend $500 for the light and do not get a switch. It is a shame I referred people initially just after the sell as I would not have done so after the build. Find a pool company that has there own subcontractors not just whomever they can find. Again still waiting for items to be fixed but I am sure they are BUSY again. I will say, once pool is done looks like a quality job. read more

I would NEVER recommend Rondo Pools to anyone. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. No communication between the company and the homeowner, forget any questions or concerns you have during this process because you wont get a response back from anyone (not even the owner). Don't expect the two emails a week updating you on your process (that's a joke), we maybe received 5 the whole time unless they need additional money from you. If you have ANY existing landscape don't expect it to be there when you are done, damaged like they say is an understatement so you better budget to replace not repair anything in their way. Lastly, I hope you want NO follow up after your pool is complete because that will NOT HAPPEN.. No phone call, no generic letter, no NOTHING.. We have called three times with concerns and all we get is the runaround that someone will call back and NOTHING! They received our last payment so I guess they are done with us read more

Rondo Pool Company is the best! They put in our pool 20 years ago, and we just now found it necessary to renovate. Having Rondo do the renovation was the right choice. It has been a long time since we have worked with such an ethical, conscientious, and capable company. Dave Furman was our Project Manager. He was a pleasure to work with from the first meeting we had. Whenever we had a question and contacted him, he always got back to us on the same day. He also really cared about his crews doing the best job possible. In fact, he came out to inspect and check on the quality and clean up of each crew as they completed their work, and made sure anything missed was taken care of immediately. All of the crews were polite, respectful, worked hard, and they were always on time! We never saw them standing around and talking, in fact we never saw them even stop to take a break. Amazing! We would recommend this company to anyone looking to build or renovate a pool. They did a great job! read more

This is my second pool Rondo has built for me. Larry Martin was great help as he steered me to a new design for my second pool with new when I told him about my back problems, he listened and designed the pool around that with 3 therapy jets they installed in a sitting area in the deep end so 3 people can get back therapy when you need it, very cool. He also designed it for me to do lap exercises for back strength. Bob Snyder was also great help and Danielle Moreno would get people out right away for anything I had an issue with, even dumb stuff. I didn't really have many issues, very small issues and they were on top of it right away, this is why I used them to build my second pool. My pool had travertine tile installed, I'm adding this in case you read this before you have a pool built. Just want to say it's worth the extra money as the patio and around the pool look outstanding and gives it a rich look. When I open my sliding glass door now and see the beautiful pool, I know I made the right decision. Thank you so much Rondo making my life that much more beautiful each day and relaxing. read more

All I know is that Rondo pools is THE BEST !! People need to understand it takes a lot to build a pool. Mine is amazing and Kevin the owner takes my calls on his cell 24/7. Even 2 years later he is quick to warranty things I break. There are a lot of pool companies folding and not finishing pools and keeping people's money. I chose Rondo over Shasta despite being same price because I felt like Rondo would offer better customer service since they are a smaller pool company. After we already financed pool into our home loan, Rondo salesman said that we needed to pay $526 since we have colored fence block and he didn't figure that into price. This is outrageous since the colored block is standard for our community. If we want to get out of the contract, the salesman said that it would cost us $3500. The salesman admitted that he underestimated on the price or else he would not be competitive with other pool companies because "they all do it". read more

Sloppy sloppy sloppy. All our neighbors complained about the messiness of their workmanship. They blocked the road several times & I got complaints about that as well. And they washed concrete down the road & into the basin numerous times even after we told them we would get fined. It wasn't worth the trouble..our happiness was marred by this situation. And I get it...people shouldn't be rude when it comes to someone else's property. Why should they have clean-up because of someone else's home improvements. Glad they are done & out of here. Pool is nice but I'm sure a lot of companies do a great job too. read more

My name is Lynnette, we had Rondo pool build our pool in 2011. We spent nearly $36,000 on our pool (no spa) during the contract and build Jason our sales person would make promises or guarantees throughout the build process that unfortunately were never followed though on. Within the first 4 months our pool LED lights filled with water, Rondo sent the electrician out to fix the issue. We were told that it was an electrical issue and not the lights so the said LED lights were never replaced. Within 8 months of having pool completed we had a PVC leak which cause pavers and ground to be excavated. At 12 months our $500 vacuum went bad which had to be repaired at our expense. At 24 months our pump began to have issues that to date have been unresolved and currently we are having electrical issues with the sub-panel and GFI's that Rondo installed. We spoke many times ti Sandra in the office who was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but she does not have authority I am told to resolve issues. We spoke to Rick in warranty who was VERY aggressive, arrogant and argumentative and finally we spoke to Kevin Rondo who basically told us that the above mentioned items are our responsibility to take care of. Having spend the money we did on this pool we should have not be faced with nearly $1,000 in repairs for a pool that is less than 3 years old. STAY CLEAR OF RONDO POOLS!!! We are planning in the future to build a new home and when the time comes to build a pool we will be looking for another company to use. read more

If there was a way to give a zero, I would. Rondo has HORRIBLE servicing. They are great getting your business, (persistent and will practically come 24/7) but if you have a problem with your pool afterwards...........they convienantly play phone tag for months. Now, I am being told that it's past my warranty. I was also told to go to Home Depot. Really????? If you make such great quality pools, you shouldn't be afraid to service. We have NEVER seen a service man. The only person we ever met was our salesperson and people in the office. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and equipment breaks within a year!!! We have phone records showing calling Rondo for over a year trying to get serviced. They don't care for anyone except their new clients. Even reps at trade shows (Home Shows) say, call office.... we should fix it right away!!! Do yourself a favor......go somewhere else!!!! My husband and I have been shopping around for pools. We have a pretty straight forward layout we want. Rondo was the 5 place we have shopped. Our designers name was Raphy. When setting the appt we showed him what we wanted. He kept cutting my husband off when he was trying to speak. We set the appt anyways, hoping he would take advantage of the second chance. Raphy called to confirm the appt. He asked if we had been working on Anything with any other company. We had explained to him again the we have been shopping. He became dismayed and developed a huge attitude. Raphy went on to say he stayed up all night fixing the design, and wouldn't have put that much time if he would've known we weren't officially going with rondo. We apologized for the misunderstanding yet still agreed to give him another chance. Raphy showed up an hour late for the appt, he was all sweaty and his eyes looked black. This was the last straw for my husband and I. We will never recommend Rondo to anyone or return ever again. It's a wonder they are still in business with designers having this work ethic. read more
