I made my appointment at Ron DuPratt Ford to get an alignment and oil change on my 2020 Mustang GT. I get there and pull up to the service center and wait for an advisor to greet me. I wait about 10 minutes till someone asks me who I'm waiting for and I say Tim Connolly since that was my service advisor. A gentleman steps out about 5 minutes later, who I'm guessing is Tim, and asks me if I'm there for the alignment and I respond with yes. He proceeds to tell me that they are really backed up right now with two cars and I should reschedule or if I want to, I should make an appointment at Les Schwab. Mind you, I made an appointment the day before and scheduled it for it to be a drop off, so I didn't care what time they finished as long as I got an alignment and oil change done to my car. The whole ordeal took like 3 minutes and he didn't seem to care about the appointment which just made him and the place he works at look really unprofessional. If I wanted to make an appointment at Les Schwab, I would of made it there in the first place instead of wasting my time going to this Ford. Next time just cancel the appointment ahead of time instead of having me waste my time. Save your time and go to the next Ford to get your service done. read more

The experience we had with Ron Dupratt Service was a less than positive for us. We received a flyer in the mail from the Quick Lane store in Vacaville to which we replied requesting "The Works". We got a call that they would be picking up our vehicle which they did, however, our vehicle was taken to the Dixon service center without our knowledge. The flyer we referred to was for the Vacaville Quick Lane so our expectation was that it would be taken there. We expected what would have been a simple service turned into a 2 day ordeal. We never received communication that our vehicle would require an overnight stay due to our request to have a diagnostic completed on the brakes. On day 2 we called trying to reach someone at the Quick Lane store but no one was answering the phone. We drove down to the Quick Lane store only then to find out our vehicle was in Dixon. We called the Dixon store to get a status and was told they were still waiting to complete the diagnostics and that someone left us a message the night before which we never received. Finally, by the end of the 2nd day after calling again to get an update the diagnostics had been completed, we paid for what we thought would be a diagnostics cost and the $59.99 "The Works" deal from the flyer only to find out the $59.99 deal ended up being $80.00 along with $195.00 for the diagnostics. We were told the car would be delivered back to us which we expected to have back within the hour but an hour and a half later after calling again to find our where our vehicle was and reaching sales who then contacted his manager and was finally able to get the Service Manager to call us back and explain why it was taking so long our vehicle was in our drive way. This experience was the worst experience we've ever had and we will never take our vehicle back to Ron DuPratt for service. This could all have been avoided had they just communicated clearly to us and held true to their "coupon deals". The inability to reach someone by phone was incredibly frustrating as well. read more

I have read a lot of these reviews and have found that whether or not you had a good experience at Ron Dupratt Ford in Vacaville depends a bit on a couple of different things. I think the main problem people have experienced with them comes down to a) miscommunication and b) mismatched expectations. So let me tell you what I thought of my visit and explain why I really liked this dealer. I'm pretty low on money. After a rough year of moving, studying at University full time for a J.D. and some pretty horrific vet bills, there was not a lot left over when I realized that I need a car to get to work over the summer. With this in mind I was looking for as cheap but decent a car I could get for my budget. I went to a lot of dealers who laughed in my face, ignored my budget, pressured me into buying out of my budget with credit I couldn't afford and generally bad sales techniques. I kind of lost hope that I would find a car that I could afford or a dealer who actually listened to my budgetary concerns. Vince at Ron Dupratt helped me out. He listened to my concerns, and we negotiated. When the price it came down to was too high, he remembered me the next day and renegotiated with his manager for a lower price for my budget. He was kind and considerate when it came addressing me and seemed interested in me as a person, not just as a customer. I really like Vince, and highly recommend him. He is a great guy! I signed the paperwork with Moses (I think that was his name? Sorry if I am wrong). Moses is a cheerful, clever and fun guy. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand and even though I probably talked too much, I felt like he was interested in hearing what I had to say. He was not only a good manager, but seemed like a really decent and fun person. When I accidentally forgot my checkbook at home, he took the time out of his day (as he lives in the same area as me) to let me take the car home and drop by for the check later. What star service! I am not a huge fan of car dealers, but this one I liked. I know that when it comes down to it, car dealerships need to make money too, but I never felt like they were trying to rip me off, or push things I could not afford on me. Other dealers would keep me for hours, budging too little that it was just a waste of my time. I felt like this dealer took good care of me. When I felt the car I bought needed to be checked out for something, their service people took great care of me and my concerns. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this team! This is the third car we have purchased at Ron Dupratt Ford. They have always provided great customer service. We recently purchased a new truck. The salesman Daniel Mills was outstanding! He worked hard to get us the perfect truck. When we picked it up, it was parked in front of the business and it was freshly washed and super clean. Thanks Daniel! Unfortunately a week later the truck had an engine problem and I had to bring it in for service. We didn't have a reservation and it was obviously very busy. I was pretty bummed after owning the truck for one week and now it had a problem. Nick, one of the service managers, told me that he would try to squeeze my truck in for service. Horrible service department. Our 2013 Ford C Max was breaking down on a trip from Boise. We were very stressed out and anxious when we pulled in and asked for help. The service technician couldn't be bothered to get up from his seat. Then said they couldn't/wouldn't look at our car until Monday (3 days later) after we told him where we came from and where we needed to be. I asked if they could just do a diagnostic on it to see what was actually wrong with it. They refused and then said we probably shouldn't be driving it. Nice. read more

Service department needs a crusher. I've never had issues with actual service technicians because they fall under their advisor. But when the advisor chokes, the team fails. Once my big guy Jake was gone a few years ago, Ive been shuffled around, never seeing a familiar face. Lots of turnover. The current guys have no idea what they are doing, don't return calls, or give correct estimates. Pathetic ! Ron: get Jake back and I'll come back for more cars and service, but 'til then, I was a 16yr dedicated customer, but now lost. Many of my referred friends feel the same way. Your service department needs a crusher. Jake is worth chasing down and hopefully can get your dealership back on track. Bottom line: Call and ask for Jake in Service. I took my F350 in to get looked at, was told I spun my main barring, and they wanted 20,000! Yes twenty thousand for a replacement motor. After asking for help on getting me into a new truck, was told I would need 15000 down or 700 a month! Went to a different dealership, and to this day my truck runs great without a new motor. Found out Ron Duprat changed my oil with car oil not diesel motor oil, and that's why the truck threw all the codes! Be ware going there for anything! read more

BEWARE: these people are scammers! If I could give this place a -1, issues, Brandon was not interested in helping me out. Got referred to Didn't even offer to help out even though it was their dealership that sold us an unsafe car. Even after another dealership, who thank goodness, offered a trade for a very good deal helped us, Paul still made it very difficult to send over the refund form for the premium maintenance we paid for and didn't get to use. Pls do yourselves a favor, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. My kids life were jeopardized & they did NOTHING to help. They even made the process difficult. Really??? This business wants to respond to my review as "they went above and beyond" helping me out!! The only reason why they sent me a loaner was because the vehicle broke down for a 3rd time and only because I called Paul NUMEROUS times to get it resolved. It's not like they "offered" me anything. It was like pulling teeth with pliers to even get a callback! I had to tell him that I was refusing to continue to pay for Uber for him to finally say he would loan me a vehicle; which by the way, was suppose to be dropped off at 11 but did not come until after 3. The "wreck" that I had was NOT MY FAULT, SOMEBODY HIT ME! I can't help it if somebody runs into me!! I reported it to them right away, provided them the police report # & even called my insurance to see if I needed to do anything extra since it was a loaner vehicle. The 2 wks it took for the insurance to handle it is beyond my control. And of course the so called wrecked vehicle had to be picked up. What, I'm expected to drive it 80+miles and pick up my lemon and drive back with an unsafe vehicle? Even after the lemon was traded in, I was still given a hard time when it came time to request a refund on the premium maintenance I paid for. I called Paul on 12/29 & was told that he was sending me a form by the end of the day. Next day rolls around, I call him, no answer. I called & spoke to his manager, named Rod to let him know how disappointed I was with how a return customer was treated (my husband bought a mustang with them, my mother in law bought 2 cars with them too), and he starts off with hostility because my review came through. He then transfers me to the finance manager named Ron, who was the only helpful person and simply asked for a copy of the Liability release form so he could do the refund. Even the dealership where I bought my new car said that there is no "refund" form & I was just being given a hard time! New dealership was even baffled that I was not being offered a trade in for the lemon. The way this business is responding to my honest review just goes to show that they are not professional, do not care about their customers and are down right shady. We did our homework, and at the same time we were getting quotes from other Ford dealerships. Missy delivered with a very competitive quote! . Another Ford dealership told us there was no way they could beat the price and maybe they should start buying cars from DuPratt. Our experience continued to get better.... we got to the lot (very close to closing) and they had the car ready for us to inspect and test drive. Finally left. As we backed out of our parking spot, a sales person driving away in their car stopped behind us (blocked us) and said "did you guys need help with something?" I really expected this place to be a top-notch service-oriented operation considering how much they charge me for my new tires during their so-called Tire Sales Event but when it came time for the follow-through they really really let me down. Out of the blue one of my new tires blew out about 60 days after I bought them. I call to see if they have replacements and was placed on hold then went to voicemail and was never called back. After calling back 2 more times I talk to a live human being who explained that he didn't know if my tires are under warranty that if I wanted a new tire I would have to pay for it upfront and that they didn't have my tire in stock anyways. Wow talk about not wanting to be helpful no suggestions of what I could do or even willingness to look up if my tire was under warranty not going back there and would love to get my money back read more

I'm so disgusted by the service team at Ron Dupratt. Here is the things I had to put up with: 1) The first time I took my car in was for an oil change. I asked for a shuttle to pick me once my car was done. Nick forgot to let the shuttle know I was waiting for a ride back! I had to catch a flight and I was waiting in my office for 1 hour and 30min. Finally the manager Randy had to pick me up! Does this place have any communication? I guess not. 2) I decides I would just move on from my bad experience. Once again I took my car because it was having electrical issues. I left my car and when I picked up my car noticed I had no gas! How could this possibly happen? I know my car had gas. When I called for an explanation they simply brushed it off and their response was "we had to test drive" your vehicle. Oh okay thanks for using up all my gas! 3) This is the BIGGEST ISSUE! I left my car once again to get an oil change. I was running late and asked them to leave my car in the front with the keys inside and I would pick it up. They have done that for me in the past. It's 7pm and I arrive at Ford. My car is no where insight!! Looked like they forgot to leave my car out!! How will I get home now!!? Finally I spotted someone coming out of the office. We decided to look in the back to see if my car was there. She stated she would look for someone that had the keys to open up the gate. I head over to my car and noticed ALL OF MY WINDOWS were opened and my car was LEFT UNLOCKED!! It was parked next to a fence that could have been easily jumped over and someone could have stolen my vehicle or my belongings. The office personnel felt horrible! At this point I'm so upset and frustrated! How could someone leave a vehicle unsecured! I walked around and took pictures of my vehicle! I talked to one of the owners and Complained about their service. Their service team is horrible and do not act professional! 3 times they left me on hold for 25 min! All they could offer me was a "Detail" done on my car! What makes you think I want to leave my damn car with you!? The only reason why I had to go to this FORD is because when I bought my 2008 Edge I got the service package with it. Meaning I can only go to FORD for my oil changes. The FORD in Davis was great but closed down. The one in Fairfield closed down as well... So I was stuck! I don't go there anymore and would advise people Not to take their cars there! This was a terrible experience. Stay away from the used sales department. They advertise vehicles that they do not have and then try to sell you new ones instead. I called them to check the vehicle I wanted was in stock - we talked about price, features and the trade-in value of my car - all was good. I drove 75 miles to the dealership. The sales person I spoke with arrived 15 minutes later to explain to me the truck (F150) was not there. Then offered to sell me a new one - classic bait and switch. 75 miles later I am at home. I am complaining to Ford and the Better Business Bureau. The truck is still advertised - I guess they are waiting for the next sucker..... A great way to spend your hard earned vacation days. Bought a new car there this weekend. Worked with James, a salesman. A nice man and my problem was not directly with him. They responded back from an Edmunds.com inquiry/request and quoted a nice deal with a bunch of Ford rebates. The rebates turned out to have been "revised" by Ford and cut $750 out. Had we known this at the time, we would not have made the 2 hr trip to Dixon but stayed and dealt locally. So, right before making the deal, check the rebates again! What we really disliked about the dealership is the man who wrote up the paperwork. Very unprofessional. First by cracking his knuckles repeatedly and then by getting angry when we refused the "extended warranty". As a professional, I don't appreciate being lectured to about the correct way to maintain a car. Have him retrained! read more

Shady service department doesn't verify repairs and ignores their customers. I dropped off our three month old Ford Focus Electric at Ron DuPratt Ford on Monday 10/5 to have them fix the value charge feature which was not working correctly. The value charge feature only charges the car when electricity rates are lowest, between 11 PM and 6 AM on weekdays and anytime on holidays and weekends except 3 PM to 7 PM. When I dropped off the vehicle I attempted to explain the issue to the "Service Writer" he cut me off and said he would have me speak directly with the tech who works on EVs but that the tech wasn't in yet. I said okay, have him call me. Later on that I received a call from the same Service Writer telling me that my car was ready to be picked up. I asked how that was possible considering I hadn't even explained the problem to them. He stated that there was a recall and that they applied the fix so I should take the car home and "see how it goes." I explained to him that I do not work for Ron DuPratt Ford and therefore, it's not MY responsibility to test THEIR repairs. I had given them my username, password, pin code, everything they needed to log into myfordmobile.com to configure the value charge settings and test their "fix." The next day, I received another call (voicemail) stating that my car was ready to be picked up. I logged into myfordmobile.com and was able to verify that none of my vehicle's settings had changed, therefore they had not tested their fix. I then emailed the fleet sales representative (Bill Stephenson) that I purchased the car from. I stated very clearly that I wanted a phone call from the tech who worked on our car so he could explain how he tested our vehicle and verified that it was functioning properly. Bill said that he would bring up the issue at their meeting the next morning. Three days later after not hearing anything from either the service department or Bill, I emailed to for a status update. Bill replied without addressing my concern and simply stated that my car was ready to be picked up. read more

What gives?!?! I keep getting calls from this place about some internet sales question that I never asked them. Apparently, some moron put the wrong phone number in when he was filling out some internet inquiry for them. So I get a phone call from them and I tell them that it is a mistake, no problem, not a bother, and I ask them nicely to take me off of their call list. Five more phone calls later, from the same number, over the course of two days, and I ask start to get irritated. They call and then hang up when I pick up, so I call them back and ask them what the name of their company is and why they are calling my number. The very unprofessional lady on the other side of the phone refused to to tell me the name of her company, but I was able to get out of her that she was a third party company that was calling me on behalf of Ron Dupratt Ford. I again told her not call again, and they stopped. So the next day a cell phone calls my house and it's a sales person for Ron Dupratt Ford asking for the same moron who apparently cannot type his number. I told the guy that it is the wrong number and that he needs to take me off of their call list. Two days later I get another call from Ron Dupratt Ford asking for the same moron again. I explained the situation AGAIN, and she was apologetic and told me that she would take me off their phone list. It's a been a week now and no calls from Ron Dupratt Ford, thank God. Am I to believe that there is only one competent, intelligent person that works at Ron Dupratt Ford? We'll see I guess. Hey lady, thanks for taking me off the list. P.S. When you hire third party contractors, they represent your business, so you need make sure that you don't hire a bunch of sketchy hacks. Hmmm... I have bought MULTIPLE vehicles from them, utilized their Service Dept for routine maintenance and all of my auto repair needs for every auto that I PURCHASED from them.... Even bought misc ford merchandise from the Parts Dept & upgraded the factory warranties to the " PREMIUM CARE " extended warranty from them... $ $ $ BOTTOM LINE : SMALL Dealership. Can buy fords CHEAPER elsewhere Auto repair - nothing will be covered under the warranty - NOTHING ! Customer Service - people buy cars from this type of "small town dealership" for this reason only. If you have ANY issues with service they will BLOW YOU OFF and never call back... You will need to take a day off from work & drive in to talk with them. The service is SLOW & don't plan on getting a courtesy car from them as a loaner because they don't have one Honesty & Integrity - DECEPTIVE. It was suppose to be done the next day and ready by 5pm. When we got there, 45 miles out of our way, it wasn't done. When we went inside the dealership, the desk manager acted like we were putting him out!! And yelled at us across the lobby wanting to know where our check was and that we were denied by 3 banks without a down payment. Who the F is this guy, he didn't even know us. No stars on this one. The service department advisers are next to useless. I just picked up my car which had 20,000 miles on it and had developed an oil leak in the front timing cover. I asked why this would happen...I don't know was the answer. He offered up that wear and tear. I pointed out there were only 20k miles in the car. He said it happens. He also said he had one with the same problem at 30k being worked on. When I asked him to explain what was done to repair the vehicle again he repeated he didn't know. So he couldn't be bothered and brushed me off. I'm sick of Rom Dupratt. They are awful. There is literally almost nowhere to take a Ford between Fairfield and Woodland for repairs. They are pretty much it. I'm so digested with Ford that I'm about to chuck it in and go back to reliable foreign cars. I'm especially aggravated that whoever they grey haired bespectacled service advisor was with whom I had his irritating conversation just brushed me off. We were shrewd but after some research I decided their price was fair. So the next day it was still on the table and we took it easily. Paid in cash. I purchased my 2013 Ford CMax from Ron DuPratt and purchased the maintenance package. When I took the car in for routine service I was surprised at how condescending those in the service dept are. No matter whether it was routine maintenance or re call work I was spoken to as if I were an idiot. The tone sent the message "you're just a woman." At one point one of the veterans of the service dept argued with me when I said the rear hatch wasn't closing properly. Turns out I do know my car and when something is amiss. The dept acts like they are doing you a favor making an appointment it really is like they can't be bothered. This last time ended it for me. It took months for the part to come in, I called as follow up RDP didnt call. When it finally came in I was rushed to schedule an appt or they were going to have to send the part back. Over the phone, in person, it doesnt matter, the attitude is consistently poor, disrespectful, the old I can't be bothered you are just a woman. I will no longer go to RDP for any reason. This woman will go elsewhere. read more

Wow! After reading the previous reviews I must say I am a little shocked. I came to Ron Dupratt Ford (1st street location) on a Thursday afternoon just to take a look at the inventory. After only a few moments of looking around I was greeted by Missy, (who is amazing by the way) and she offered her help if I needed it. She was not the typical "pushy salesman" err...saleswoman... that I previously encountered at other dealerships. She answered all of my questions (regarding the 2014 Fusion that I was interested in) and sat down with me to go over the numbers. On this particular day I was was not planning on purchasing because my husband was not there to look over the numbers with me (he's familiar with this type of stuff), so Missy printed out all of my options and gave them to me to take home to my husband. I told Missy that I would return on Saturday to purchase the vehicle and that was that. On Saturday, my husband and I returned to purchase the 2014 Fusion (this time at the Lincoln Street location) and unfortunately Missy was with another customer. She still greeted us and then introduced us to Shannon, who would help us finish our deal. Shannon is just as awesome as Missy! She walked me through ALL of the many features on the vehicle, answered all of my remaining questions, and my kids even enjoyed talking and laughing with her. My experience here was great! The no-hassle, family friendly environment made this experience well worth the time and energy spent searching for a new car. read more
