In late July, I had my 2024 F-150 tires replaced. when I picked up my truck, I was running late for an appointment and noticed that they looked different. Plus, I was going on vacation the following day. I noticed that the ride was different. The sound was different and I expressed concern to Andrew that I felt wrong tires were put on my truck. He did confirm that after researching it was a human error in ordering the replacement tires. Through many text messages and communications, he insisted that I bring the truck back to make it right. I didn't want the business to take a loss and I was content in living with the tires, but he continued to press the fact that he wanted to make it right. And, yesterday, August 3 he did make it right. He picked up my truck from my place of work and returned it shortly thereafter with a set of brand new replacement tires. The check engine light came on but my regular Dixon mechanic was closed for 2 days. I had been to Dixon Tire Pros a number of times over the years so I went there - and found there is a new owner. I was told $220 to diagnose the problem. The emailed estimate I received included many additional items besides the bad coil. All were absurdly over priced based on internet search of costs (e.g. spark plug cost was far more than the most expensive plug I could find). I paid the diagnosis fee and waited for my regular mechanic who replaced the bad coil for about half what Tire Pros wanted. All the other items they identified were things that needed to be done but none were urgent and all were WAY over priced. I can't provide specific dollar costs because when I went back to the email estimate the next day, the prices were gone. After 35 years in Dixon I have been to a lot of local mechanics. I would go to Vacaville before using these guys again. read more

I'm happy to write this review for the team here. I had some shaking and vibration issues when applying my brakes eventhough Honda said I didn't have to replace them at this time. Which is true for the brake pads but I couldn't afford to drive on my long trip worrying about my brakes. I came here twice and Rocky kindly and professionally explained and showed me the rotor issues. I appreciated seeing that in person and because of that, I made the arrangements to do the brakes the next day. As someone who has lived in the 707 for 31 years, with the past 17 in Dixon, I don't understand why I didn't come here much sooner. Exceptional service and staff. Always upbeat. The Owner, Ted, and his crew are top-notch. I understand. You're getting repairs. These folks are rarely going to give you "good" news. Auro repairs are inconvenient and expensive. These folks are fair and honest though. I've brought three different vehicles here for a variety of services and I have left pleased each time. Excellent customer service with a smile. They really helped me out today. Someone hit me hard on the freeway yesterday causing the back bottom piece of my car bumper to nearly fall completely off. I needed it to be removed or popped back in at least for now so that I can get get to the doctor and to work to take care of myself and family. Flat tire on I-80. Tire shot. Rode on rim to nearest tire shop Walmart. They couldn't give me a time so they could look at, told me anywhere from 1-6 hours possibly but no guarantee. Called several places. At Dixon Tire Pros a man said he'd come take a look. He was able to take my spare off our Ford Transit van and put it on! We were pretty much stuck in the parking lot with no hope of getting help. I offered payment and he said no. They believe in helping when they can. I had a coupon for a 4 wheel alignment for $99 and to balance the tires. When I went to pick up the car they tried to up sell me saying "there's an oil leak, the rear differential is leaking and the transmission is also leaking". When I asked where the leak was they said they didn't know. Then showed me pictures of my oil pan and when I said I didn't see any leaks or drips they said "well you see how the bottom of the pan looks wet?" My car has 112,000 miles on it so of course it's going to be oily but there were no signs of any drips. I feel shops like this try to up sell customers on repairs that are not needed. If these leaks were really happening I would have oil spots on the ground under the car where it's parked, there is not. So I paid the bill and left. When I got home I noticed they didn't give me the coupon price of $99 for the alignment. Instead they charged me $119.99. I've heard stories about this shop doing shady business and not being honest with the customers and now I know it's true. I wont be going back. The business DOES NOT need to contact me. read more

My daughter was visiting and after she had taken her mother out shopping, my wife told me that my daughter's brakes were really squealing. Then, when questioned, my daughter said she had a rear brake job several months ago and went back to the big tire store (LS), and they didn't find anything wrong with her brakes. Dixon Tire Pros were nice enough to fit her into a busy Saturday schedule and inspected her car. They said her front disc brakes were in need of replacement. They also recommended a few things that had been neglected. I asked if they could take care of those issues as my daughter was traveling home on Sunday. They were able to accommodate, and that rear brake squeal, which was actually the front brakes, went away. All the other items, with the exception of things I can take care of next visit, were done and my daughter drove safely home with my plea to do preventative maintenance. I'm grateful they went the extra step to diagnose her vehicle and actually repair it on short notice. However, with the change in ownership this year, the way they do services and try to "get you" to do more costly work and even with oil changes, is not helpful if you do not understand the "actual need" level of services for your car. This place does it right with professional service and it's a great local feeling shop. When Davis Tire Pros was discovered, I figured out that it's not exactly local (used to be Big O) but it's far better than some chain stores I've frequented in the past. If your definition of a "good" tire store is a movie and some popcorn, cart your buggy (if you can) to that other big chain store and plop your hiney down for some cheap entertainment. They'll set you up with some rubber to get you at least off of their lot and out of their responsibilities. They do more than _just_ tires here, but will not try to upsell unless absolutely necessary. I like that. Their courtesy van will pick you up and drop you off without any added charges. I don't really have anything bad to say about these people. A problem with trying to say something nice is that the only time you'll see them is most likely when something goes wrong and some sort of monetary compensation will be needed to deal with them. The place I bought the tire from couldn't install it when I picked up the tire. So I decided to drive down the street and walked into Dixon Tire Pros! Best decision! I explained my situation to Jon at the front desk, he went out of his way to help me out. They were able to squeeze me in and install the new tire. In and out in 30 min! Dixon tire pros stole my tire. Went there to get my tire plugged, newer tires with 20k miles on them. They told me it couldn't be plugged because the screw was in he side wall...it was not, the screw was in the middle of the tread. An employee brought my car around and said "I put your tire in the back" I went to another business to have it plugged and my tire was not there, just my rim. I dont understand why they would take my tire, they never asked me if I wanted them to discard it. Everyone I have told about this situation since has said, don't go to that place, they are crooked, they're scammers, they stole your tire! Brought my car in for an oil change like I have for the last 5 years and got a call that it was complete. Paid and got my keys only to see that my glove box was on the FLOOR, everything that was inside of it was scattered on the passenger seat and floor, and their tools were left in my car. Upon going back in to complain, we spoke with the owner Ted who raised his voice at us and came around the desk in my partners face (TWICE). The entire situation was handled unprofessionally by the OWNER of the business. He could have gotten someone to fix it, and apologize but he'd rather defend his company (where the employees had to have been intoxicated in some sorts to park a car in the parking lot looking like that) and get up in our faces. I would give 0 stars if this app let me, so 1 will have to do. Do NOT give this business your service.
