Posting for my mother, who had a flat tire with her Prius. As usual, Tire Pros staff were friendly. We brought the car in around 8am, and it wasn't ready (one tire, repaired) until about noon, which to me shows Tire Pros is busy because of good service/pricing. Tire Pros is my go-to for tires in Davis. They're honest, do good work at a reasonable price and every time I've been there they've been just over all nice dudes. Although they didn't push expensive tires on me, when I requested some Continentals they didn't have in stock, they were able to get them delivered and installed in only a few hours. If you want, they're happy to explain the technical details of a certain tire. Every time I've been they've had lot of people working and they're able to get the work done faster then the other two, larger shops I've been to in both Davis and Woodland. In short: Decent parking. This past week I drove to Davis from out of town for a two day work trip. At the end of day 1, I got back to my car to find I had a flat tire. I brought my tire to be patched and they called me shortly after saying I need new tires and that it was not safe to have mines patched. Something about the inner thread being worn out. Tires only had 20K miles on them. I did not believe them so I went to Vander Hamm Tire Center instead for a second opinion. The tire was patched there and the friendly gentleman said I have at least another 5K miles on it and that this place was basically trying to sell me tires. He also told me I could use the thread bar as an objective measure. I did not know that was a thing. I would avoid this place and go to Vander Hamm Tire Center instead which is just a couple minutes away. read more

Had a flat on our truck pulling our camper trailer headed back from a fun camping trip. Big metal shard in the wheel they had the truck lifted and the wheel off within minutes. Clearly working on jobs, they took our tire back and got it repaired. Helped us get the truck backed out of the lot and on the road, and made it back home without hitting the rush hour traffic. Davis Tire Pros provided me with excellent service! The low air pressure light came on for one of my tires. I attempted to fill it at multiple air hoses from gas stations but wasn't having any success. (So many of those gas station air hoses are junk). I called Davis Tire Pros and they said my tire might just need a patch. They were busy and I didn't have an appointment, but they said they could fit me in the schedule if I could drop off my car. They gave me a very reasonable quote for the patch and I dropped off my car. Here is where Davis Tire Pros really separated themselves from other businesses. When I arrived to pick up my car, they told me that there was no flat at all but all four tires had gotten low with the cold weather. They filled all of the tires and charged me nothing for their service!! On a busy day, without an appointment, they fit me in and very easily could have charged me for their time. I appreciated their honesty and will happily bring in my car for routine service to Davis Tire Pros in the future. Lazy.. that's the term here. Had a screw on my tire and as soon as I walk in- no greeting whatsoever but just employees on their phones. Waited for a few minutes until one finally stood up and ask me. I am on my way to work and was told 2hrs I have to wait, just for a patch?! I said nvm, and I left. I don't have a whole lot of time to wait just for that. I guess it's a way to drive customers away! To tell the customers, it will take long! I went to Kragen and got myself a plug. Then I went home and brought it to my local, hardworking tire shop, for even 10$ less. Will not be coming back at Davis Tire Pros! Learned my lesson! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I would give them NO STARS if that was an option. I have taken all three of my vehicles here since I work in Davis and they have always been pretty quick and easy. I stopped by yesterday and wanted to get a sensor replaced on the left rear tire. I was helped by an older gentlemen with white hair. Seemed nice at first. I explained that I had already gone to another place the day before to get the sensors fixed, but the other place was only able to provide me with a quote and tested all sensors because it was late in the day and they were closing soon. It was just the left rear sensor that needed to be replaced. Since I've been to Davis Tires Pros before and can leave my truck there it just made sense to go here for the convenience. After checking out my truck and coming back to the front desk, the guy seemed to be screwing around on the computer for a few minutes before mentioning that I should replace all sensors. I said no, thank you and reminded him that I had them all tested and just needed the one replaced. He said "well just to let you know, the others can go out tomorrow, the next day, next week and so on." I said "thank you but I'd just like the one replaced." he continued to stare at his screen and click around with the mouse another minute or so before printing up the quote. $197 to replace just one sensor!!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! That is NOT the price to replace just one sensor. It should be $80 at most, maybe even $100 if he was charging me some hidden fee. He tried to get over on me and it made me so angry. I thought of all the other times I came here to get work done on my cars and never thought twice or got a second quote for any services because I always felt like they were taking care of me. I will NEVER be returning here and I suggest no one goes here anymore! Maybe he thought I didn't know any better, but what is sad is that only because I went late in the day to the other place and couldn't get this fixed that I knew about how much I was going to spend. Davis Tire Pro are taking advantage of their customers. I hope that someone really looks into their ridiculous pricing because it seems like they make up the prices on the spot. SHAME ON YOU!!! I ended up going to America's Tire in Vacaville and they were super helpful. Tested the sensor right away before even making me wait. Turned out none of the sensors were bad, it was just not reading to the computer. They reprogramed it and fixed the issue within 10 minutes, checked the air on all tires and sent me on my way. They didn't charge me one cent! Such great customer service. This place should take notes! read more

My tire pressure gauge came on in my car and having a long commute home, I stopped here to check for a possible slow leak. The technician informed me that one of my tires was over inflated and that can cause the sensor to activate. He properly inflated my tires to the correct pressure and told me there would be no charge for the service. Due to their customer service, I will definitely be coming back here when it's time for new tires. read more

Had my car diagnosed for nock/clunk in front suspension. Was advised the root cause was tie rod assembly on driver side. Spent 500 dollars on new one and same noise is still there. Staff was nice and shop was clean but will only do the 1 star because original problem still persists. read more

Had a screw embedded in the tire, and didn't want to take it on the freeway. Even though they were obviously busy, one of their guys didn't hesitate to take a look. He pulled out the screw and swabbed the tire to make sure it wasn't leaking. No charge. Plus- all the employees were masked up as a courtesy to their customers. They have absolutely earned my future business! I had first gone to a much bigger tire down fifth street (Vander Hamm) and was told to come back after 4 before they'd even look at it. This was at 10am. Oh, and no masks. A set of Michelins for my car runs about a thousand dollars. Guess who's *not* getting my future business. read more

I can always count on Davis Tire Pros to give me a real estimate, and not overcharge me like other car shops. I had a really weird noise coming from my car and the mechanics spent hours trying to find the noise. They eventually found where the noise was coming from, and then didn't even charge me! 0$! I live an hour away for school however anytime something is wrong with my car I drive to Davis because there is no place that I trust more than Davis Tire Pros!! Seriously 10/10 recommend this shop!
