These guys are wonderful! I inadvertently found a nail in my front left tire and it was getting lower by the minute. I was in a rush and on a time crunch to get to meetings in the bay area. Not only were they the only shop open at 8 AM, but they got me in right away, replaced my tire, added oil, cleared the warning lights on my car and got me right out the door. Super friendly and fantastic. Even though I don't live in the Davis area I will definitely be bringing my car back because these gentlemen were fast, professional, and helpful. I used to like this place. I went in to drop off my vehicle and was not acknowledged. I stood around for about 30 min....no "Hi", no I will be with you in just a second.....NOTHING!!! I live in Sacramento, but got a flat tire in Davis. I drove to this place because I didn't want to drive too far on my spare. When I talked to the service person, instead of just selling me a tire--or two--he asked if I had purchased it at a Big O Tire store. When I told him I had, he let me know that it would still be under warranty and could be replaced for the cost of labor. He made sure the air pressure was good in my spare and other three tires, and I drove back to Sacramento and saved the cost of a new tire! Highly recommend this place! I called to schedule an appointment for a future date, the owner, Ted, told me I could bring it in that same day because they had the tires I needed in stock. I shopped around but found the best prices here. I dropped off my car and they offer complimentary shuttle so I went back to work while my car was being worked on. I really like that they offer the shuttle because it was so nice not having to sit and wait for it to be done. They don't know what they are doing. My car has vibration problem and I went in to get it fixed. Charged me $300 for engine mount and said my problem should go away. But problem still remains. I don't think their mechanics know what they are doing. Total waste of money. read more

I cannot recommend Davis Tire Pros enough! I took my car in for an oil change, but knew it had a check engine light on for a knock sensor. Another place quoted me $1500 to fix the sensor, but not only did Davis Tire Pros take it upon themselves to diagnose the engine light for free, but they also reset the engine to turn the light off and told me if it comes back on to come back and they will definitely beat that estimate. Even better, I had a set of other keys on my front seat which one of the mechanics accidentally grabbed. Because I lived right around the corner, they came and delivered the keys to me! Unbeatable price for a high mileage oil change and a free rotation for only $41, too. I've lived in Davis 2 years, and I'm so disappointed that I just discovered this place. It's great, and it feels good to finally have a mechanic I can trust in Davis. read more

After discovering that my tires were nearly bald, I called Davis Tire Pros 90 minutes before they closed last weekend. They asked me to get in as soon as I could, and not only did they get new tires installed, front end aligned and front end aligned IN ONE HOUR and at a much lower price than Costco, Firestone and a few others were quoting. 1. Guy helping me seemed extremely lost. Tried pushing me to purchase new 4 tires right away and wasted the time that I'm running short on. Seemed like he was forcing out BS sales tactics that they taught him. My husband worked at a racetrack for 3 years. He knows enough about cars and tires to know that my tires don't need to be replaced, although they are not brand spanking new 2. Competitive prices, my as*. 3. Worked on my back right tire when it should've been the FRONT LEFT. I don't even know how you make that mistake. He even told me that my back right is the least worn down of all 4 tires. Again, proves that he pulled some shit out of his as* to sell me tires. 4. Owner (not too sure if he's the owner, but the short little dude with the goatee) must've noticed that I'm set on not purchasing new (and ridiculously expensive, even with Buy 3 Get 1 Free), straight up asked the guy helping me to give someone a ride in the middle of fixing my WRONG tire. These guys tried to unnecessarily sell me an entire set of tires after I came in to have a damaged one replaced. Not only did they lie about that, but "accidentally" kept the rim from the damaged tire after claiming to put it in my trunk. Consequently, I had to go back and retrieve it when I took it to an honest dealer. Avoid this business. They're dishonest and will take advantage of you. read more

Completely collapsed in the last few years. I can't tell if they are incompetent or corrupt, but things have really gone down hill. They messed up my brakes a few times, broke things on my cars, tried to trick me into having repairs I don't need, and even screwed up balancing my tires (someone else ended up fixing that).
