We absolutely love Romeo's Pizza. We have tried every pizzeria in the area but we love Romeo's the best. Their pizza is perfectly made with chewy crisp crust and flavorful toppings. Just a 10 inch for me. Light on the sauce too. Nothing against Romeo's Pizza Sauce. It's actually the best I've ever had. I just don't like a pizza swimming in sauce. When you refuse to work for an iou they tell you, you've volunteered to quit your job so now your check is minimum wage and your tips the costumer paid for your service will be on that check. Bringing my rating down to 1 star. We ordered gluten free pizza and since we eat here regularly, we noticed the crust looked different. We called and asked if they had changed suppliers. We were told they had run out of gluten free crust so they substituted their thin crust. Without asking or disclosing. To people with food allergies. AND IT WAS THE MANAGER'S IDEA Bad idea. So I asked for a refund and told them they were welcome to the pizza back that we were allergic to. They asked if they could call me back in an hour or so. Nope. You can't. So my husband went up and returned the pizza and the manager refused to speak to him. He finally did receive a refund. We contacted corporate by email (because CLEARLY their staff needs more training on what to do if you run out of a product and wanted to give them a chance to explain/apologize before blasting them publicly)...but we let a month go by and received no contact so we thought it would be wise to warn others with food allergies not to eat here. read more

I used to go to Romeo's quite a bit a few years ago, but this time was probably one of my worst pizza experiences at any Columbus shop I've ordered from. I ordered a medium traditional New York white and added mushrooms and sausage, and have a couple problems. 1. The pizza was a small 2. The pizza was cold, even though this location is less than 5 minutes walking distance 3. The pizza was $17 4. Delivery took over an hour 5. Garlic sauce is dry I ordered delivery for the convenience having just returned from being out of town for the holidays. Even if my delivery was the last before the delivery driver returned to the store, either keep the pizzas hot or don't schedule so many deliveries. The best thing I can say about this is that it is at least better than Papa John's. I think I'll stick to Jet's from now on, this was so disappointing. read more

Absolute WORST sub I've ever had! I ate two bites and told my husband it was awful and I didn't want it. He looked at it, opened it, and said "There's nothing on it!". I told him to try it and he spit it out because it was so burned and dry. Bun was completely burned - the entire outside of the bun. Inside was dry, the meat was dry and the wasn't much of it. There was a very slight smear of sauce alomg the edge, and nothing else. Biggest disappointment in food I've had in a LONG time. Would never eat here again, would never recommend it. read more

We ordered a veggie pizza for the first time in several years. What a disappointment! When my husband picked it up it was only luke warm. Then when he got home and looked at it, we found it was still raw. The veggies were raw and the crust hadn't even begun to brown. We had to slide it onto a cookie sheet and finish baking it. Pizza is one of my family's favorite foods. This location always proves it's worth. It has us coming back. The sweet sauce is not something you can get just anywhere. They do it just right. We ordered a regular pepperoni and a New York white pizza. The white pizza, admittedly, could have been better and lacked the garlic/creamy flavor I was hoping for, but that pepperoni pizza was LIFE. I have been craving a good Chicago style deep dish stuffed pie! now even though I live a short hour and a half drive from downtown Chicago there are surprisingly not too many traditional pizzarias that se3rve up some good traditional stuffed/deep dish pies. I went on a small search and found Romeo's I browsed their menu and came across what in the pictures looked like and amazing Chicago style deep dish pie! I got excited and ordered a pie and some wings. what I got.... I can NOT put into words how bad this is... I am literally moments from actually shedding tears, I am literally considering throwing it away and finding another place to try and salvage this night from.... I took ONE bite and knew I had screwed up by giving them a chance... how could they possibly have gotten any awards for this? first of all they use a basic pizza crust you would see used for a hand tossed pizza, so naturally when they cooked it the dough did exactly what you would expect from a hand tossed basic dough. next it had a decent amount of toppings but it was just off.... I decide I am gonna pull off the top layer and see what is going on, I gasp in shock and disappointment I AM NOT exaggerating when I say MAYBE an ounce of cheese on the whole pie... ONE OUNCE. now I might be a little insane but I am pretty sure the whole premise of a Chicago Style deep dish and or stuffed pizza is that it is basically just cheese! and because it is the wrong style of dough used for this pie it had puffed up so much it gave the illusion that this was a deep dish pizza when in reallity it was literally all dough and nothing else. The ONLY good thing I will say about this pie is that the sauce they use is actually pretty tasty, its just too bad it is laying on a mountain of semi raw dough. I am not sure if I have been so discouraged of trying new things in my life... and Finally the wings.... first off the "medium buffalo" sauce they give you is literally just a solo ramekin of Frank's red hot sauce LITERALLY NOT buffalo sauce, if you don't understand the difference you have no bussiness coming at me with any snarky comments about that! the BBQ was actually not that horrible but was definitely some cheap generic type bulk sauce you get from Stans or GFS understandable it the restaurant world I get it! I have worked in the industry for 20+ years now. the wings!!!..... omg I was embarrassed for them! wings are one of the easiest menu items anyone could possibly make, and is truly hard to mess up, like if you mess them up you LITERALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR JOB AND WHAT YOU ARE DOING. they were overcooked and dry and they were crusty and not the good type of fresh out of the fryer crispy oh noooooo they were nasty dry (i didn't use a timer) type screwed up! I have been cooking for work and at home for a passion for a very long time, let me tell you that pie was NOT a problem of a worker didnt care to do something right, oh no! that worker did their job to perfection that PIE is a product of bad business decisions made by an owner that cares only about one thing... their money. After trying Rome's at the Columbus Pizza Festival (or whatever it was called...), I was excited to try their NW Columbus location. I was not disappointed. I had their specialty pizza with sausage, potatoes (!), ranch almonds (!), and caramelized onions on a bacon ranch sauce (!). It was amazing. The pizza is rich, so that I wouldn't want to eat more than two slices at any one time. That being said, a brief 30-minute break was more than enough time to be ready for round 2. The onions were delicious, the sausage was crispy, the potatoes had a great creamy interior, and the sauce was the perfect base. The crust was nicely browned on the bottom, chewy on the edges, and just substantial enough to hold all the toppings. This is easily one of my favorite pizzas in Columbus, on par, for me, with Clever Crow in terms of overall quality. My only complaint was with the brownie bites, which smelled like a fryer and were, in my opinion, inedible. The pizza more than made up for this problem. The specialty pizzas are pricey, but their coupons are pretty robust, so you can find a deal. Even without the coupon, it's well worth the price. read more

They are very consistent with their pizzas too - I don't think I've ever had a bad one from them. I don't think I've ever ordered pizza from anywhere else since Romeo's. Why would I when theirs is so good? Watch out for coupons because the pizza is expensive without them. I live close to this location so I get them in the mail. Call and ask what specials they have or any coupons they have out currently - they'd probably honor them without you even having the coupon. My staple pizza order is a large 2 topping (pepperoni and extra cheese) for $10.99. You have to ask to get this special though and it's pick up only. i Ordered Romeos this past Thursday and had it delivered and when the order arrived half of my order was missing. I called the store and was told the rest of my order was still there and if I wanted it that I needed to come and get. i honestly first thought he was joking But he wasn't. I proceeded to ask to speak to the manager and was Told my manager doesn't talk to customer that has issues and he hung up on me. I then called back and again was told he wouldn't put the manager on and he wasn't going to deliver them. I had to call the Bethel store to speak to a manager and she called the district manager which never called me back. Im the meantime I kept getting calls from Romeos calling me names and then would hang up. This happened 4 times. I finally got the manager at the hard rd store which said he would get the wings deliverEd and would refund the wings. I got the wings but it took 3 hours and was cold. I still havent gotten a full credit and when I called the next day to ask why I didn't receive full credit he said he was not going to give me a full credit for the wings and hung up. I have ordered from them for years but will never again. I can't believe they have such Unprofessional managers. read more

I would avoid the Hard Road location. The manager is highly unprofessional, curses and calls you "dude" when dealing with customers. After a two hour delay on a delivery, I called to check on my order only to be dismissed, being told it's snowing and you bet your a## your pizza will be late. He hung up.
