We arrived right at opening and there was already a line, fortunately we had reservations. Here's what we got (ranked from favorite to least favorite): Steak Luc Lac ($42) The steak was so tender and packed with flavor. The peppercorn sauce and the burnt scallion butter took the steak to the next level. The cassava fries had a kick as well. Duck Salad ($28) Generous amount of duck slices cooked to perfection. The salad was refreshing with the ginger chili vinaigrette and the peanuts and crispy shallots added nutty flavors and textures. Crispy Prawns ($24) Prawns were super crispy though the seasoning didn't have that wow factor for me. As for drinks, I highly recommend the Pandan Coconut Tea ($8) if you're looking for a refreshing pandan forward drink. My partner got Pandan Coffee ($9) and it seemed like the coffee overpowered the pandan. Overall, everything was delicious and I can understand why they got the Michelin Bib Gourmand for the past few years.

Vietnamese coffee - ($7 CAD = $5 USD) - While the coffee was strong it definitely tasted premade. The other thing I didn't like is that I watched the server prepare our drinks and he filled one glass completely with ice, and the other half filled. So the one filled with ice had a lot less coffee. Softshell crab fritters ($26 CAD = $18.57 USD) - This consisted of lettuce, 3 pieces of fried crab, and a cilantro dipping sauce. Crispy with tender pieces of crab meat, this dish tasted great with the dipping sauce. Steak luc lac - ($36 CAD = $25.71 USD) - This came with 6 oz. of steak prepared medium rare, a side salad, and some rice with a fried egg. I wasn't impressed with the steak at all, it wasn't very good and it was served with some peppercorn sauce, but they were extremely stingy with the sauce. The rice was a little dry. My relative has a tomato allergy and yet they served his salad with the tomatoes. Overall I wasn't impressed with the food here here. They were stingy with the drinks and sauce. They definitely need to pay attention to people's allergies when it's brought to their attention. The items here are over priced as well. I don't get the hype here.
