The food here was really delish. The arrabiata could've been spicier for my taste, but the basic flavor was quite good. Hubby's risotto special was also flavorful-- with saffron, I believe it was. We were bummed they were out of rocket salad, but replaced it with a nice spring mix, made in the same style as what we wanted. It's a petite space, and unassuming as you walk by, but the food is really great. Wish I had one of these on my street. read more

An extremely pleasant and tasty Italian meal near the louvre. After searching for a reasonably priced yet high quality dinner after our walking tour, we found this place. The restaurant is a quaint little spot off on a narrow street, the pastas are aldente and superb, the service is friendly, and if you order reasonably, the check won't be too large at all. Also the English descriptions below each dish were super helpful! Really the only two complaints I have are that a Diet Coke is an insane €5.50 each (seriously?!) and that they have a limited selection of pasta options. I went with the pesto pasta with tomatoes and a medley of other ingredients. I really dislike when pasta is simply drenched in sauce but thankfully this wasn't the case. It was super light yet filling, with the pasta and toppings themselves being the real stand outs. All of the other pasta dishes were also solid options for sure. read more

We dined here here for lunch and were very happy we did. They seated us close to 2:15 on Sunday at a time when many restaurants have closed or are closing. I ordered rigatoni bolognese and my wife had a special pasta that they flambee in a parmigian cheese wheel. The flame melted cheese into the linguini and cream making a delicious pasta dish. It is hard to do the dish justice in words. Definitely 5 stars on the presentation. The only thing that I wouldn't rate 5 stars was the glass of wine that seemed a little oxidized but tasted OK after a little while. In the future I would go with a bottle not a glass. A friend and I popped in here last night after doing some shopping with the kids and were very pleasantly surprised. Warm and inviting Italian restaurant, the staff was happy to speak "Frang-Li-Italian" with us and help us order (English menus provided!) We enjoyed one "daily special" ravioli dish as well as the pasta bolognese, pasta with aubergines and pasta with creme sauce-all were all delicious and had us soaking up the sauce with their bread. By the way, they have a great boulanger! A reasonably priced bottle of Merlot rounded out the meal. Our waiter was very kind and sent out kid-sizes portions of ice cream for dessert. Even though this is more of a "date" restaurant, they treated our kids very nicely and even split a main course onto two plates in the kitchen. My family had a very nice experience here. The head lady spoke very good English although we tried our French. I appreciated that they allowed this! "Ham" and melon app and cheese plate was large enough to split for 4. We all had different pasta and all left very happy. Great Italian. Just arrived in town and after sleeping all day, my traveling partner and I were looking for a good place to eat. The waiter was extremely helpful and kind especially with our limited French (almost nil). The mozzarella and tomato leaf salad was good and the balsamic vinegar here was amazing. I liked my dish that was a roasted eggplant - cheese - linguini concoction. My friend's risotto was good as well - it had chopped up asparagus mixed in. For our final evening in Paris, we booked reservations with Romantica Caffé in the 1st Arrondissement... The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, making you feel at home! Service was incredible from the moment we walked in the door. Our waitress was fluent in French, as well as Italian, Spanish and some English which made our visit quite pleasant. She was very attentive to our needs and made certain everything was perfect! We started our experience off with a beautiful bottle of white wine and chose the Burrata appetizer special, followed by the infamous Leggera Romantica... A beautiful presentation leaked its way onto our plates... After finishing the entire dish [yes it is that delectable] we moved onto a bottle of Prosecco which assisted in digestion... for the final touch we chose the brioche con Nutella [worth every calorie], as well as an espresso and coffee... We arrived in Paris on a Saturday afternoon, anxious and famished after a long day of travel. We searched restaurants nearby to our hotel and decided to try Romantica Caffe. The service was excellent, and very personable. I enjoyed pasta with a bolognese sauce, while my wife tried the salmon on the specials menu. The food was delicious! I suggest making a reservation as we did. My husband and I went here on our recent honeymoon. They have an English and French menu. I had a delicious linguine dish and my husband had linguine with meat, both were extremely flavorful and delicious, it surpassed my expectations! For dessert we had tiramisu. We went there after reading all of the positive reviews on Yelp. We sat there for 15 minutes. We had asked the busboy if we could order, not realizing he was the busboy. He said he couldn't take our order, but still never brought water or bread. We saw him speaking with the waiter telling him we wanted to order. However the waiter just gave us a dirty look. The people who were sitting next to us who only spoke French, told us there was a problem with the service. They suggested we should go which we did. Highly recommend the linguine with basil pesto and potatoes and French green beans, and the pasta (your choice) with tomatoes, roasted eggplant, and pine nuts with cheese. we came here specifically for the cheese wheel pasta. the worker was extremely rude. we thought we made a reservation for 5 but when we showed up, to an empty restaraunt, he got mad because he only sees the reservation for 2. he made us feel like a burden but th restaraunt was EMPTY! what? between the 5 of us, we had two pairs sharing one pasta each, and my brother wanted his own. he brought the wheel out and made the pastas and gave my brother the same amount of portion as he did the rest of us and he still charged him for a full amount. another group sat by us and we heard how rude he was to them too. maybe because we are american, it's still no excuse to treat a customer. read more

Confused how this restaurant got such good reviews. The food was good. Average pasta. The issue we had that spoiled our dinner experience was that they served us the wrong bottle of wine. They gave us a more expensive bottle than ordered. After a couple of sips they came to our table and literally snatched it away. Rather than charge us for what we ordered they created a very awkward situation. The staff just didn't seem to understand they should have covered their error instead of upsetting the customer. read more

I tried Leggera Romantica, and I really liked it. Very tasty pasta. I do recommend. The variety of wine is not abundant, however I liked their red wine Gregoletto, Decembre 1600. Good and hard to find wine. Why 4 stars? Well, in my opinion, a good Italian restaurant should play Italian music, instead of English pop music like Madonna. It really affects the mood. And the price range is a way better than the neighborhood. You will like the pasta here. Be warned that you will only find pasta, not pizza here. So dont be fooled by the name of Italian by thinking you can get pizza as well as pasta. Recommended şf you love eating pasta. After I finished, there was a mean waitress blocking my way out of the door. She scolded me for using her restroom. I knew that she was asking for money. So I asked her how much. She asked me for 2euro. I gave her 2 euro. This waitress is so mean. She gave me a bad memory in Paris. Where is the friendliness in service industry? For owner, it is Saturday night dinner time in summer, you should have best business in a whole week or whole year. But I only saw one table was occupied inside and few customers sat outside.
