Enjoyed a great lunch from here today. They are still operating for take out, and there was one table out front. Everything was very fresh and the wraps are always stuffed to the brim, so you get your money's worth! I recommend the Italian! You can get it cold or hot. Since it was so hot today, I got it cold (6inch) and it was plenty of food for me + chips. Took off a star because it was messy/runny and fell apart at the end. Will definitely be back!

Came here for a quick snack/lunch. Walking through the door we were immediately greeted by friendly service and smiles. Upon ordering, they guided us through the process and told us their specialty. My party split the recommended Basil Chicken Cashew Rolled Sandwich. This is a MUST get. It was light but still filling. There was a crunch from the cashews and a kick from the spicy sauce. Overall, an amazing quick bite for lunch. Tip: make sure you check into YELP for $2 off!!

I typically am a sandwich person where I want bread, but it was a nice change to have a wrap. They were quick and the wrap was tasty. It's a great alternative to bread for any sandwich lover.

This is small sandwich place in a strip mall near SMU, at the intersection of Central and Mockingbird. I've passed it several times but never went in before. The wife and I decided to give it a try for lunch. The sandwich menu is pretty good but everything is a wrap in a tortilla. It does not bother me but some people may want regular bread. For most sandwiches, a half cost $4.25 and a whole $7.75, so prices are reasonable. I got the Philly melt and it was fine. Flavors were ok, not much meat but it was nothing offensive. The wife tried the roasted corn soup and said it was very average. She also got the cashew chicken which comes only in one size for $7.75 and said it was very good. Not too much mayo and has pulled chicken. She liked it a lot. The place is pretty nondescript and has a few tables inside and more tables outside. Service was polite. I am not sure I would make this a destination, but it was an ok experience and I would consider returning if I am in the area and want a wrap.

The food here is great, kind of addictive tho! The service is top notch as well. I've only been 3 times and they remembered my name where I work and specifics about my life, great customer service! The employees are friendly and helpful.

WOW. These burritos were off the chain. Almost perfection. Blew my expectations out of the water. Minus 1 star because the $1.75 cup was literally 7 pieces of fruit

My friend and I stopped here to pick up lunch the other day. The restaurant is located on the Mockingbird strip right by Southern Methodist University. For me, this is a super convenient location to grab lunch. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the Ranch Roast. It was an interesting variety of flavors (bacon, lettuce, cream cheese, roast beef, lettuce, and BBQ ranch). I think next time, I will leave off the BBQ. It was the only thing that was a little odd. I have eaten here many times because they cater to various SMU events. But, this was the first time I was able to order my own sandwich. The full size wraps are HUGE. Definitely two meals!

I highly recommend ordering the California Hummer wrap from Roly Poly! They use fresh ingredients, including crisp veggies and perfectly ripe avocados.

The vegetarian buffet is relatively small, but nutritionally diverse and dense. Dishes today ranged from simple steamed broccoli and carrots to curried cauliflower and multiple legume dishes, to a salad bowl with a wide range of fresh colorful veggies. You will leave full and happy, I fully expect, if you try it too. The little restaurant is housed in a beautiful ornate temple, and has a lovely outdoor courtyard to dine in on pleasant days (I eat inside when it's hot or cold out.) Service is minimal, but attentive by buffet joint standards. Parking is a secure private lot and spaces are plentiful. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but you are fully separated from it if you park in the secure lot. For $15 at lunch, you will likely have your most nutritious meal of your (pick a time period), and get a free drink and desserts. Some items are available for upcharge, but I find them to be unnecessary. The vibe is temple casual and reminds me of hippy establishments I used to frequent in the 70s and 80s. I highly recommend you try it, if you love fresh vegan fare at a bargain price and want to check out the lovely temple and grounds while you're there.

Getting here was only slightly tricky, as it's not located in a strip mall or anything, but down a somewhat crummy street, in its own gated area, with a parking lot. The buffet was modest but diverse, with a fully vegetarian buffet where 90% of the options are also gluten-free. I really enjoyed the Sambhar soup, Kofta balls in tomato gravy, the spicy-pickled peppers, and the Chickpea curry. The outdoor dining area is just lovely, especially with good weather, and the temple grounds are very peaceful and enjoyable. Very reasonable price for such a relaxing and unique meal, and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint is that since we got there about an hour after lunch, some of the food had gotten a bit dry.

Everyone is friendly, upbeat and joyful! The music never disappoint AT ALL!!! I recommend them fully to anyone who is vegan and wants authentic Mexican cuisine. I had Chips & Beyond Meat Queso as an appetizer and for my main dish the Birria Brisket and Chili Nachos. My homie had the Crunchy Chimichanga. We also had the Mango Lemonade and Regular Lemonade which is not shown in this video. Review Time!!! Let me say every time I come to Casa Del Vegano I have to get the Chips & Beyond Meat Queso! The flavors are ALWAYS on point. I sometimes have to question myself on if it's really not meat or actual cheese. They have this season on the chips that ignites the flavor even more. The Birria Brisket and Chili Nachos, let me tell ya OMG it's enough to feed at least 2 people. The nachos were flavorful, savory and delicious!! This is my 2nd time in life tasting jackfruit and it gave me the brisket feel of food. My mouth just waters when I talk about it. (Just Greedy LOL). The overall meal was a 10/10. We didn't get to go very often, once every two or three months, because they're about an hour and a half away from where we live, but we always made time when we were in Dallas to eat at D'Vegan. It's been several months since we ate there last and it was still excellent and our absolute favorite at that time. We thought it would be our last because we planned to move out of state but our plans were postponed. Now that we're again getting ready to leave Texas we made a point to go eat their pho before we left. What a huge, heartbreaking disappointment! It's hard to even describe how different the pho was from the lovely, huge, absolutely perfect dish it used to be. This disappointing (tiny) bowl had two types of noodles (one undercooked), in a practically tasteless vegan chicken broth, some sprouts and parsley (!). I had to ask for additional vegetables and they only offered broccoli and carrots. Gone were the lovely radishes, snap peas mushrooms and onions. Gone was the mint and lime. The broth tasted more like water than broth. But the worst, absolutely saddest, part were the two puny slices of tofu, and some kind of horrendous, slimy, pink soy protein that was tougher to eat than calamari, with a slightly disgusting mouthfeel. Good thing the bowl the soup was in was less than half the size of the previous incarnation. We had never had the crispy vegan eggroll before so we ordered that as an appetizer. Out of the kitchen comes the two saddest looking eggrolls I've ever seen. They could not have been more than an inch in diameter and maybe 3" long. They did a little better with the spring rolls in terms of portion size. What had been two large spring rolls full of tofu, mint, sprouts and veggies had turned into four 2" wraps with noodles and some parsley wrapped in the toughest rice wrap I've ever had the misadventure to eat. At least they couldn't mess up the jasmine tea. I can't explain how sad we were that our favorite, exalted, amazing D'Vegan had turned into whatever that was. Maybe the rice dishes would be better? I don't recommend anyone go to this place. Now we need to go to "Pho is for Lovers" on Greenville Avenue to get our pho fix before we leave Texas.

We had a good dinner (albeit expensive) and I'm sure we'll dine here again if we are in the area. We were in the area on one of the 100+ degree weather days we have sooo been enjoying (sarcasm) and wanted somewhere with 'lite' options for our early dinner. It has been years since I had True Food last and remembered it being tasty. Hubby and I were sat quickly and our server was really friendly and always smiling. We ordered a starter from the seasonal menu, watermelon haloumi salad, which was an excellent REFRESHING beginning. It really cooled us off , if you can believe it, after being in the heat all afternoon. I want to recreate that dish at home and eat it everyday, but I don't think I would get the dressing right. For our entrees, we were feeling like burgers - I ordered the Turkey burger (oh my it was delicious - the best seasoned turkey burger I've had - not bland or dry at all!) and hubby ordered the All American (and it was cooked just as he ordered it medium - shocking!!). I ordered the Simple Salad as my side and although the greens and cucumbers were fresh and the dressing was scrumptious, there was a bit too much dressing which made the greens go limp quickly. Hubby requested the air-fried French fries and they were lack luster - some cooked too much (burnt) and others still raw; not sure how that was possible - maybe they loaded too many in at once??? I ordered one of the zero-proof cocktails and was really surprised at had good it was. I'm even going to look for the tequila that was used so we can make them at home - it was called the Spicy Clean Margarita - yummy!! Service was a bit slow but I think that was because of the time of day we were dining - 4pm; the servers were prepping the empty tables for dinner service so they were a bit distracted.

Between the four of us we ordered the roti canai -- with an extra piece of roti, since the base only comes with two, roti murtabak, two orders of the pork belly baos, chili crisp cucumbers, nasi lemak, beef haw fun, and bò tái chanh -- Vietnamese rare beef salad. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food. In addition to the solid food menu, the service and drinks were equally spectacular.
