Decent folks here. I like Ali and the staff, and have had a couple oil changes here. Now with a new car, that's now being taken care of by the dealership. Free is the best price, but this station is reasonably priced. Due to a lot of customers and a few mechanics, my recommendation is to make an appointment. They also if I remember correctly have inspection discount coupons. The station is impeccably clean. Having the roof over helps during inclement weather. Price wise it's what you'd expect for all octanes of gasoline. I like that it's easy to get in and out. Are there cheaper places? Yes although who knows if cost/usage price equation is accurate. My family and I's go to place for regular emissions testing. I LOVE Joel, he is so nice and knowledgeable and helped me patch up my tire that was leaking by the rim. Got my emissions test for $28 and the tire fixed for $55. All done around 30 minutes. When he takes my car I feel like its in good hands. Prompt, great service, fully recommend! My car started making braking sounds on a Friday and it got worse over the weekend. It was hard to find someone who would look at it. Monday morning, I called around and finally spoke to Bao who graciously told me to bring it in. Receptionist was prompt, took my information and Bao came over to ask about the car. He drove the car around and came inside to talk to me. Told me right away what he thought the problem is, but he needed to look under the car to make sure. The sign in the picture was down, and when I drove by the empty parking lot I didn't see it, and it damaged my car up pretty bad. I can't imagine why it would be left there without at least a orange cone or warning sign. They told me it wasn't their problem, and that it's their property so it doesn't matter what they have on it.I TRIED REACHING OUT TO THE OWNER WHO TOLD ME TO REACH OUT TO HIM/HER but when I call they're not there, and I left my information and have yet to hear from the owner... oh well read more

You have to be kidding. This shop is run by a thief ! I went in for a inspection and the handle of my car was broken. The safety inspector who works for the state of Virginia not the Sunoco told me it had to be fixed . I asked how much it would cost . The surly shop manager told me it would be $270 dollars. I looked on you tube for the repair procedure. I found it was a 5 minute labor repair. I ordered the handle it was cheaper to order 2 so I purchased for $14.00 plus tax and shipping $22.00 . I had to paint so I was able to get my matching color purchased for $25.00. I painted and installed for around $50. It is literally 1 screw. This guys a crook Period. The price this guy gave me did not include a second handle or painted . I would never get any work done at this shop ever. read more

I had an amazing experience here... I know... Taking your car to a gas station for service you would automatically think you would get ripped off... But no.. These are some of the most honest and fair technicians you will ever meet... They're in the business of making the customer happy and trying their best to get your car in tip top conduction and save you money at the same time! I had to take my car here for admission... Come to find out I needed some work done. TJ one of the managers there went above and beyond to take good care of me and my car. He got me up and running in a day... And my car was able to pass admissions without breaking the bank! I was so thankful that I stopped here to get it done... They also gave me a ride to work free of charge. Took my car here for VA state inspection, failed because my front brake pad wasn't making correct contact with the rotor. They gave me an estimate of $670... for two rotors, two pads (and labor) and re-inspection (for $1). Looked overpriced to me so I looked elsewhere for work but unfortunately everywhere else was booked and I needed my car so I had to come back to this shop. Dropped my car off in the morning, couple hours later they called saying it was ready. I understand they already gave me an estimate, but I was certainly expecting another call to confirm the work to be done and re-affirm the associated cost. So I came to pick my car up, and it was exactly $670. Not a cent over or under. So I look at the itemized receipt and see that each rotor cost $133.75 wayyyyyy overpriced. The pads were $53. Not cheap. Labor was $244. Which is pricey but good work isn't cheap I suppose. Was overall disappointed in the price they claimed for parts. It was good quick work, just suspicious how they made an estimate match exactly to the cost by fudging the cost of parts. Will not be returning for any additional work. Do not recommend. read more

Good service - High Prices I had an emergency situation with my brakes recently. My usual mechanic could not fit me in for a week. So I thought I would try this garage. Had my rear brakes fixed for $925. When I asked my mechanic what it would they would charge he prepared a quote for just over $600, which I provided to the manager of Sunoco. The quote was apples to apples. I contacted the manager they would not budge on their charges. My mechanic says they ripped me off. Fool me twice, shame on me!! I gave this place another chance after being ripped off several years ago, when I was charged $600 in diagnostic fees for discovering a broken light bulb. The charges were for the technician not having enough sense to check the easiest stuff first & spending loads of time looking for something more complicated. Let me first start by saying that this company does not want your business unless they can charge you hundreds of dollars in diagnostic fees. I had an error message on my dashboard that I wanted checked out and it turns out that the car popped up with other issues. The service manager, TJ, wanted to charge several hours of work, at $120 an hour, to figure out the issue. I simply wanted the car to be assessed for safety, as some of the issues were minor in nature. The general manager, Ali, was helpful at first, but when he advised that he would call back to let me know what repairs would be needed to be safe and pass inspection, he went home and had his gas station attendant call me to pick up my vehicle without letting me know what needed to be done. I picked up the vehicle, paid the fee, & took it to another shop. I also believe that, because I refused to pay the other diagnostic fees, they became bitter & created additional issues in the car, possibly changing out the original BMW parts I had. This was something that was caught by the next mechanic I took the vehicle to. I am looking into the matter and may pursue further action. My advice is to find a more honest group of people to trust your car with. These people are crooks! read more

After a plug in the tire started to leak, I was trying to find somewhere to patch the tire. One gas station refused and tried to sell a brand new tire (these had under 1,000 miles on them). I declined and took it to this Sunoco station. The gentleman at the front counter (I didn't get his name) said he would see what he could do. He took the vehicle to the bay, fixed the tire, and refused to take any money. Customer service at it's finest. I will be back the next time I need a repair. read more

Great customer service! A few weeks ago I took my son's car in for a state inspection and emissions test. He just got the car as a present from his father and I was trying to get the paperwork done for VA that day. The car failed inspection due to the rotors being rusted. Needless to say I had a bit of a breakdown because it was a costly repair and I wasn't prepared for that. That being said they worked with me on the price, did not take my attitude personally and repaired the brakes quickly as I wanted to be able to get the title switched that same day. Lost a regular customer this weekend - will never use Sunoco again, for inspections, gas, oil changes, nothing! Went in for an oil change - regular service. They had previously done an oil change for my car so all was still in their computer system. Went to pick it up and whoa! The bill was $112. What the heck? They decided to do a high mileage oil change WITHOUT ASKING THE CUSTOMER FIRST and REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME for the outrageous charges. Whatever happened to calling to ensure the customer wants the service BEFORE completing the service? Never again will I use this place - I don't care how convenient the location was for me. I just picked up my vehicle from having my first service completed at Rolling Road Sunoco. Initially went in to have my brakes checked and tires replaced, however I also had some other work needed as the vehicle now has a bit over 60k miles. My vehicle was dropped off in the morning and ready in the same day. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency and was not able to pick up my vehicle. I cannot say enough positive things about this garage. I have been taking my car here for just about everything for about two years. They are patient, helpful and honest. I never feel that they are trying to upsell or overcharge me. On top of that, this past week I was out of town and my car completely died out of nowhere. I tried everything I could think of while being away from home and decided to call TJ here at Rolling Road Sunoco since I had previously worked with him. I thought he could at least give me an opinion that could get me moving. I was blown away by the time he spent on the phone with me; asking questions, making suggestions, checking their system for ideas. I know that this garage is always busy and he never rushed me off the phone. He went absolutely above and beyond to get me to the right place and get my car running again. BEWARE -- DISHONEST -- LIARS -- CHEATS !!! I have to admit my own stupdity for not asking to see the work they said I needed before they began "repairs" but here's a quick description of what occurred: -- Went in for safety & emmissions inspections on 04/04/15. They told me to wait inside. -- The manager, TG Gonzalez, came in and said I passed the safety but failed emissions due to an exhaust leak. The repair for the exhaust leak would be $172.00 -- The bill came back with tag light replacements (come ot find out, I don't even have tag lights!!! He also charged me for replacing wiper blades and "aim headlights." This interaction / exchange happened so quickly because TJ Gonzalez was darting in-and-out between the garage & waiting area, that I didn't even have time to stop & ask questions about the work or bill. I think he purposely darted in-and-out so that I wouldn't have time to ask questions. As a result I was ripped off with a bill of $295.53 for exhaust work that I now question was even necessary. And who knows if any exhaust work was actuall done? I question this because if he he charged me for tag lights that don't even exist, and "aim headlights," and wiper blades when I was first told I passed the safety inspection, I realize now that I was, indeed, taken for a ride. I will NEVER go to this gas station again. read more

DISHONEST!!!! Don't use this place. I went in to get some wires fixed on a hitch and they called me and told me it would be $400 for a new light box. I went to u-haul in Lorton and they told me it needed a new converter which they could do for $135 in parts and labor. When I showed up to pick up my car they charged me a $120 diagnostic fee that I had deff not agreed to and told me that they would give me a deal if I order the part for $60 online they will fix it for just another $120. That brings us to a grand total of $300 to fix something that U-Haul does for $135 after their initial pitch of $400 for something totally made up fell through. Where is the incentive to be honest or do work if you can lie and then hold someone's keys hostage until they pay the $120 ransom. This place literally did nothing for me other than lie to me, then overcharge me, then extort me to take it to an honest mechanic who will still somehow make a profit. The looks on their mechanics faces told me that they knew they had been caught in a lie too but that didn't stop them from getting paid about the same for doing an inaccurate assessment as the other guys did to actually fix it. I used these guys as my primary mechanic for almost 7 years with less than epic results (lots of overcharging and underperforming) but this last stunt brought this to an end. read more

Completely dishonest repair shop. Brought in my car in twice for brake work and spent over $1500 only to have the same problem come again. Took the car to another repair shop and they documented that the work I was charged wan not done. Have reported the company to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection Agency in Virginia. Hopefully they will shop this place down. Will never bring a car there again. Recommend that no one use this repair shop unless you enjoy being ripped off. read more

Six months ago I had a special concern as I was planning to give an older car- 1997- to my granddaughter. This is my new auto repair shop for all of my cars. The customer service is top notch. I have had mechanical issues with my 4-Runner including a shaky steering wheel and brake vibration since I bought it 7 years ago. The dealer was never able to fix it 100%. I decided to try a new place since my brakes were giving me problems again so I took my 4-Runner to have them look at my brakes and change the oil. They fixed the brakes so that they are perfectly smooth when applied. They also did the oil change and installed a new battery. The battery tested low. They did all of this work for a very reasonable price and in less than one day. I waited a couple of months to post this because I wanted to see if the fix would last. It has. I am very happy with how my car drives now. I can't say enough for the work done by Rolling Road Sunoco. Last but not least, everyone I met who worked there was very friendly and very helpful. read more
