Another run and another park! This family friendly park is on Bastanchury next to a good ol' suburban neighborhood. The park has a little playground for children that is taped off right now because of COVID. There is a good amount of grass field to set up a volleyball net or throw a football around. There are not many benches to sit around so it would be good to bring a nice blanket and lie on the grass. There a few trash cans but not many. Nowhere to really BBQ so if you're looking for a great outdoor cookout I would not recommend. This place is ideal for single family homes to relax and watch young ones play for a little stretch of time...or take your date for a quiet stroll. Overall it's a pretty good park with decent amenities for the area. Nice.

Plenty of space here. Playground, plenty of tables, only thing missing here is free WiFi. There isn't even paid WiFi. Can you believe that? No baristas to serve you coffee as you're rolling off a slide. Came here on the way home from running errands all day. Parking for this park is tricky to get to. I recommend not relying on the GPS to get to the park, but rather rely on looking at the map itself to see where the inner entrances to the park are from the residential homes-side. Otherwise, you will be driving along Bastanchury Road wondering where you will park. Sure, I guess you could park along the street, but do you want to come back to a piping-hot car because of super hot Southern California sun? Details on the park: - Plenty of parking - The playground itself has multiple swings - There are multiple benches - There were port-a-potties the day I was there. I don't recommend using them. - As the title of the park states, this park is on a hill, which means there are inclines. Be wary of fatigue from sudden elevation spikes. - There is no WiFi at the park. - Bring your own coffee.

Beautiful, clean, new. Lots to play on. Plenty of shady grass areas to sit and eat lunch.

I have frequented this park with friends throughout the years. Just downstairs from Rolling Hills school, and accessible from the street State College, it is conveniently located close to my house. It is nice to come here for a picnic, to play games, or just to hang out. This park has a playground for people with families and has plenty of room to have a family party or some other event.

    Beautiful park with great trees.

Parking was very limited at that time, so plan ahead if you're going early. Clearly, a lot of people know this is the spot for a serious workout. The stairs themselves are brutal in the best way possible. After about three rounds, my legs were completely done--but it's such an effective workout. This place really gets your cardio in fast, and you feel accomplished every time you finish a round. The views along the way make it even more worth it. We also came back later in the day around 5:30 PM. It starts to get a bit dark around that time, so that's something to keep in mind, but it's still a great experience and totally worth it. Overall, if you're looking for a challenging, fun, and effective outdoor workout, Hillcrest Park stairs deliver every time. Just be ready for sore legs and limited parking during peak hours.

There are 400+ steps to climb up and down. The steps are made of timber but could be wet and slippery from early morning dew, so I feel that a late morning trek is better when the stairs are dry. On my second visit, I went around 6 PM. Although the stairs are well lit, I just did not feel safe. I found myself alone at one point and looking behind me, checking if someone is coming out of the dark bushes. Maybe it's just me... But overall, if you would like to hit your 10K steps and/or your target heart rate, this is a fun way to go!

I went there with someone, and the moment we stepped into the park, I felt this bright, open energy that reminded me of the same playful excitement I felt when I visited Funko Hollywood. The whole place felt alive in a way I didn't expect from a park. What really stood out to me right away was how many teenagers were there. They were walking around the trails, relaxing under the trees, taking pictures near the lake, and just enjoying the space in a natural, comfortable way. Seeing so many teenagers made the park feel even more vibrant, almost like it was designed for them to have a place where they could be themselves. As I walked around, I appreciated how easy it was to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The park is big enough to explore but not so big that it feels overwhelming. The lake area especially has this peaceful atmosphere that still feels exciting because of all the activity happening around it. I saw teenagers taking photos with the water behind them, and the scenery looked so good that it almost felt like a real outdoor version of those fun, creative photo spots at Funko Hollywood. Everything was free, which makes it even better for teenagers who want a place to hang out, take pictures, and have fun without spending money. I only visited Ralph B. Clark Park one time before making this review, but it left a strong impression on me. I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked deeper into the park and saw the trails, the open fields, the museum building, and all the little areas where people were relaxing. The experience turned out exactly the way I hoped it would. It reminded me how much I enjoy places that feel youthful, open, and creative. In the summertime of 2024, I learned that I am still physically and mentally 18 years old even though I have lived for 24 years, and that sense of youthfulness connected perfectly with the atmosphere of this park. My prefrontal cortex may be more developed than the average 25 year old's, but that does not stop me from appreciating places that make me feel playful, sharp, and relaxed at the same time. Ralph B. Clark Park is honestly one of the most enjoyable outdoor places I have been to in a long time. It has that perfect mix of calm and excitement that teenagers love, and it gives them a space to talk, laugh, take pictures, walk around, and feel creative without any pressure. I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it is the kind of place where they can have fun, feel comfortable, and make memories in a setting that feels safe, open, and full of life.
