Pretty cool park, with a very urban feel and there's plenty of visitors and walkers here. The pond area does smells pretty much all around, even stronger in some areas, and there's lots of bird poop. So do watch your step. I was hoping this park would have a smaller footprint or to be more grand in size, but it was still a good park. I did enjoy my walk around the park. Went around twice, since it wasn't a huge place - you have to actually make up your own route to get a good workout. But they also have an outdoor workout area. I think I'll have to try those out on my next visit. I did like sitting on one of their benches on the other end of the pond. And lots of parking, depending which lot you enter from. read more

One of the best parks of North Orange County. You can do a little bit of everything here. Plenty of grass for parties and games. I notice a lot of small groups meet up here for early morning and weekend sporting or exercise events. The little workout stations they put in on the northern end have been popular. Not much hiking or walking work out challenges here, but making a few laps will keep your heart rate up. The pond is nice to hang around, just watch out for the duck/bird droppings. I have enjoyed feeding the ducks small vegetables, they get very friendly very quickly. The southern end has the play structure for kids. Not the biggest despite the available land space, makes weekends tough as it gets very busy. Tell the kids to run laps up and down the hill right there if the energy is over the top. We did some parent foot races this weekend, that was pretty fun. read more

Tri-City park is a local gem in Placentia, conveniently located off Kramer Blvd and located very close to Brea. There are large greenway areas, a pond, workout area with body weight machines, public bathrooms and several parking lots. The walking "loop" is roughly 3/4 of a mile, so you will see a number of walkers and runners depending on the day. This is a great place to stroll and unwind a bit. What an absolutely gorgeous park! My friends and I came here on a weekend to play Pokemon GO, and I was surprised at how shaded the park was. This park about a medium sized park, with a giant lake in the middle. There's a few picnic/bbq areas which were being used for a birthday party. There was also an exercise area and a kid's playground. Plenty of people, including us, had picnics on the lawn because it was the perfect vibe for it! The pathways are paved, making them easy to walk and catch pokemon. There's about five parking lots, which were nearly filled when I went, but was able to luck out and find a parking spot after circling a few times. Was looking for a new park to take my toddler to and we stumbled upon this one. Its pretty big and I like that its in the residential area. Its really quiet. Tons of gazebos for hosting parties, a playground, and the lake. People were fishing, exercising, moms with their kids - it was just really peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be back. read more

This is my go-to park to play Pokémon Go at and it's a good one. They have 7 gyms and a good amount of stops along the whole exterior of the park. If you're team Instinct like myself, don't expect to get gym control during special days like community day because the area is flooded with Mystic and Valor players. At one end of the park, there's a decently sized workout area with tons of machines. On the south end is a kid's playground area with plenty of benches for the adults to sit on. Also, on the southwest end of the park, there's a little trail that'll connect you to softball diamonds and the Tuffree Tennis Courts. There are a good amount of restrooms and drinking fountains spread across. I haven't utilized the restrooms yet but I would assume they're pretty clean. I don't see many homeless people or drug addicts around either. There's plenty of parking available. The main entrance has access to several different areas for parking. There's also a dedicated parking area with access to the west side of the lots if you come straight down Rolling Hills Dr. Park itself is really clean even though there are so many geese, ducks, and many other animals. Honestly a really great park that's decently sized and has plenty of inclines/declines for those looking to exercise. There are many benches along the way. read more

Nice park if you live around this area. We were here for a church picnic, Saturday between 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. The park was parked today. Parking was full, but luckily you can also park on the street, so that's definitely helpful. From the street to the park lake is about a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed it. We had a good time. Been coming here for years even before we had our daughter, I would sit in the parking lot in my car listen to music and have lunch on my lunch breaks. The ducks and geese always came up to my car lol. Sometimes they didn't let me leave haha. They added new workout equipment but haven't tried it yet. Really enjoy coming here, always a nice time and fun riding skateboards and scooters around. Lots of nature here they have turtles in the water, lots of ducks and cute little squirrels everywhere. Tri-City Park has long been one of my favorite places to visit for a calm stroll and some casual exercise on a nice Southern California day. The park itself has several parking lots throughout, a fairly large lake with ducks, pelicans and other birds, numerous benches and picnic tables and is always full of people enjoying a day out with the fam or simply walking their dogs around the trail circling the lake. The park is currently undergoing some maintenance and is fenced off in parts as they repair and and refurbish the rear bathroom area. They have also fairly recently put in a workout area fully equipped with park style workout equipment for you to enjoy at your leisure. The trail itself is small and not lengthy at all but is perfect to simply get some casual walking in and enjoy a nice day outside and get some exercise to go with your vitamin d. This also makes a great park to get some photos with your pets as we have done with ours in the past. You can literally sit and watch the ducks from the nearby benches and just stare at the sereneness of the lake for hours. I will definitely continue to come here time and again when I am in the vicinity. read more

Pretty large park that has a regional park feel. Several different parking areas. So so so many geese that just hang out on the road and don't move. They also poop everywhere so be prepared to take some of that home if you walk on grass. The lake area is pretty and has a nice track to walk. We saw a good number of turtles and ducks. Those turtles are camera shy and really fast at diving in the water if they see you approaching. There is a playground area that I thought was lacking for a park of that size. But the large trees and lake make up for the experience for a child. read more

It's hilly in some areas which makes for a fun walk that gets our blood pumping. I often came here during my lunch time either to read or sit on the bench while soaking in the sun. This is the closest park to me that has a lake. I especially like coming here when it's raining or during the spring. It's kind of cool to see all the ducks and geese. I wouldn't advise trying to play with them though as I've heard they're evil lol. One time I saw a mama duck and her ducklings which was pretty cool. Sometimes I like to come here just to kill time before work or think about life. I find that being somewhere near water brings me a sense of peace and gives me some clarity. I don't know if that's cuz I'm a water sign. I see a lot of people bring their dogs here. There's also a trail so a lot of people come here to do their exercise. I've also seen people fish although I can't imagine the fish here being edible as I've seen a dead turtle in the water before and the water seems murky af. If you live nearby, or have dogs, you should check it out. It's pretty nice. They even have a playground for kids. Bathrooms on site. Parking can be tricky especially if you're coming at a time where there's a lot of people. read more

I wasn't even aware of this little park till a friend invited me to come along to photograph some of the birds/wildlife there. It's a typical park you'd find within a suburb. Free to enter which is nice. Areas for picnic. Walk path that encircles the little lake. I even got lucky and managed to photograph a local Osprey hunting for trout.
