Luckily, both tennis courts were open on a Sunday morning and we got to enjoy playing! The courts were clean and from what I saw, the rest of the park seemed clean too, with lots of people playing around.

The second time though, on the way down, it drifted into a tree. There is a nice play area for little kids. We brought our son here when he was a baby. He met his current best friend here when they were both toddlers! There are walking trails that lead to the park, and many people walk their dogs, or let the dogs run on the fields. The park is named after Shappel, the developer that built most of the homes on the community. Some say the park is haunted....

Along with big open fields of grass !!! Came here for a baby's birthday party and was pleased with the birthday area! There was shade and great seating , looked clean as well. There seemed to be park staff checking in as well. One complaint from the host of the party is that when she arrived to set up, there was a Couple parked in plain sight next to her in the lot, doing the nasty nasty. Yes , you read that right. On a Sunday afternoon (12pm) .... She was disgusted and looked for help but didn't see staff/ anyone nearby . She got out of her car to make her presence be known.... You would think that couple would care and leave ... no MAAM no sir, they finished their business first and then finally left! No tint and didn't care..... Thankfully no children or families were around to see that crap. It's a nice park , nice area but always look twice and don't let your children outta your sight!

I have brought my daughter here a lot! Not my favorite park but it is very convenient. I like that the pavement under the playground is soft though that is really nice. I was hoping this park would have a smaller footprint or to be more grand in size, but it was still a good park. I did enjoy my walk around the park. Went around twice, since it wasn't a huge place - you have to actually make up your own route to get a good workout. But they also have an outdoor workout area. I think I'll have to try those out on my next visit. I did like sitting on one of their benches on the other end of the pond. And lots of parking, depending which lot you enter from.

Ever so often, you'll see rest stops with covered gazebos and picnic tables. In addition, depending in which direction, you can link up with Santiago oaks canyon trails. The parking is great 2hr max though- respect! Clean and safe. The park also has a toddler area and picnic area. Aside from the fact that it is a well maintained park, our family likes to go here because there is generally never a lot of people. One parent can look after the kids while the other takes a lap around the walking trail. If you witch off, you can get your daily steps while your kids are burning off some energy. As for parking, it is generally never a problem, unless you go during school pick up and drop off times. If you avoid those two time periods, you are fine.

We all wanted to try something different. My first time here, and I enjoyed the scenery of the lake, picnic areas, and the monuments. Very nice family park for people of all ages. Plenty of tables to eat it. Restrooms are kept clean too. It was just exciting to be here. We will all make plenty of trips here again.

We don't come too often because the playgrounds are a little old and for bigger kids. It's more of a nice space for walking with the strollers. There is a lot of different areas to park here, which is helpful.
