Came here to take a walk this morning, and was so pleasantly surprised. The pathway is not super huge, and kind of circles around. Yet it is so scenic with lakes, trees, bridges, greenery, and even duckies. I saw few people fishing, some exercising, and most just strolling and enjoying the scenery. Wanted to keep this place as my little secret place, but was too beautiful not to share with Yelp.

There's like two main parking lots here, at least that's what I saw. I did see some homeless just resting on the grass area by the lake and street side. But they seem harmless, but they can be there if you visit that part of the park. But still a worthy park to go and visit.

It reminds me of those playgrounds wheels from the 80s but with more safety considerations without removing the fun. The play area is turf and surrounded by picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, with plenty of shade. The design is thoughtful and makes for a great place to spend an afternoon. The parking is free and right next to the play area. It feels secluded and somehow also right in the middle of everything. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles). Still a nice place to enjoy a coffee or picnic and let the kiddos play.

The park is adjacent to a school, and the park also has a "Friendly Center". What this is, I have no idea. I guess its a center where everyone is friendly? Sounds fantastic if you ask me. If you don't ask me, then tough crap. I live not too far from this park and I could see myself taking Lucy over there to play ball with her, let her run around, pee on the grass. Why do i Love this park? 1. close to home…read more2. It is dog friendly: this is where we walk our dogs daily. 3. Big area- you can play basketball, volleyball and big field for soccer, football and baseball. also i see a lot of dog owners playing with their dogs here. 4. Newly renovated toddler playground with cover and new soft flooring. 5. you can see Catalina Island and watch a nice sunset from here as well. The gardeners clean and mow the grass on a weekly basis. They just need to pay more attention the walkway area going to the park coz when the water flows downhill, the dirt and wood chips tend to run towards the walkway.( reason for 4 stars) Also you need to be careful walking after 5 when it's dark coz there are coyotes running on the field.
