Basketball courts
Jeff S.

Big park with a nice little corner to hoop to your heart's content. There's only two full basketball courts but it wasn't crowded at all on a Saturday morning. The one downside is the double rims and one basket seems super low, like 9' instead of the regular 10' The park itself is designed for football and ...football so there's plenty of room for anyone who wants to get some cardio in. There's plenty of parking so no worries with that. Yelp Adventures 2021: 3/??

I love this park. It is the perfect park for kids who love slides, climb steps, climb up poles and walls. There is no sand! As a parent, that is like angels singing to my ears. I only want the kids to play with sand when they are at the beach and not at the park. I appreciate the foamy cushion floor that not only is soft and bouncy when walked on but also protects our little ones when they fall. I also appreciate the shade covering that covers the entire 3 play units. I also love the picnic benches that are perfectly spread apart. I love the grassy area to play soccer, to throw a football, play tag or be silly on the grass.

This is a beautiful sports park! We drove by here after lunch yesterday, and my son said he wanted to stop and see the basketball courts. Getting in a bit of a walk after our large lunches, we enjoyed getting some exercise here. The playground is wonderful. This huge area is fully covered which is great on a sunny, SoCal afternoon. There are several large fields for baseball, football, and soccer. We liked the big, beautiful trees and the amazing shade they provide. There was a large concession stand with some picnic tables to the left. My son and I finally spotted the basketball courts at the very corner of the park. We also thought the seating throughout the park was nice as well. My son wants to come back and shoot some hoops here, and I look forward to taking a long walk through this big, beautiful park on our next visit here!

This park is well maintained, huge, has lots of field options, and includes a walking trail around the entire park. I do notice that the street facing fields are pretty much used for team sports, but there are fields open to public at pretty much any time. I love the kids area. It has SHADE!! It's not gigantic, but there's plenty of room for let's say 20-30 kids at any time (which would be pretty crowded for this area). Plenty of benches surrounding the play area, so parents always have a place to sit in the shade as well. Great park for the area.

This place has three kids play area. The play area is divided for children 2-5 years of age and 5-12 years of age. The play area for 5-12 years of age isn't difficult for toddlers to enjoy as well. The play area looks a bit small and doesn't have any swings, but has a good shade that helps to come during the afternoon when there are a lot of sunlight. There are lots of parking spots that have shade from the trees. There's an elementary school right next to the park that during 2 PM all of the parents park their cars at the park so it gets super crowded around the parking lot.

The party continues at night, Bugs Life style.

Small park. If you have kids the playground has a tarp to protect kids from rain and offers shade on sunny days. There is a small trail to walk on. There are usually a lot of sports activities going on, so plan on parking being difficult at peak hours. Otherwise, the bathrooms are well maintained and there are tables one could sit at and write they're next best selling book at or eat with the kids. If you have dogs, there are areas that are enclosed (mostly) so you can do some dog training. I have been told of one coyote sighting around 6ish in the morning. Just watch your small dogs. I enjoy that the park has rabbits, birds, lizards, and coyotes. I wish there was a track for runners/sprinters.

Cute playground, a little hidden in the back of the park. Very clean and well maintained! Love the fact that the playground is shaded!

I saw my Yelp friend Nadia has come here too, and a few other of my friends. The slides here are huge. There's a wall climbing thing, monkey bars, car, a teeter totter, something that spins, but it actually had caution tape on it today. There's a lot of fun equipment for the kids to play on. They have a lot of shaded seating and seating in the sun so you don't get cold. It was such a beautiful day. I had to take advantage of it and take baby girl out. We had fun :) The slide is really tall so I'm not gonna lie, I actually got a little butterflies looking down, but she had no problem. she went down that slide and had a blast. It wasn't busy today, but there were some kids for her to play with. We had a great time today enjoying the park, definitely check this park out with your kids, it's nice for them to get their energy out. I like that they have tables in the middle too so if you want to eat, you can. They also have bathrooms. The parking is not very big, but usually you can find a spot. Definitely will be back again thank you for keeping this beautiful park clean. It's next to a school as well. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

They have enough parking, they do games on the field too. They have a playground for older and younger kids, they also have an area down below you can have birthday's and you can ride around if you want too. I love this park it's sweet and everyone is always friendly here. Yesterday met our friend she met when she was around 2 years old, was nice to see them and let our kids play. It was such a beautiful night too. Calming breeze with the sun setting i got some beautiful pictures too. Baby girl and her friend got to play for a couple hours and met some friends too. Always nice kids at this park, they had fun. Except a little boy they were playing with ran off and the Mom wasn't paying attention and i physically could not chase him so I had baby girl try to catch him but then he just kept running further away. We told the Mom and she ran to try and find him was a bit nerve wrecking thinking this little boy was lost he ran through the bushes and then baby girl spotted him at the top of the hill where houses were thank God and the Mom ran over and got him. I can only imagine her scare i would have ran after him if I could but couldn't thank God baby girl spotted him though. After that the kids played a bit longer and I was able to catch a bit of the sunset :) Thank you for keeping this park so nice and pretty and all the friendly people that come here such great memories at this park watching baby girl grow up. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Parking was very limited at that time, so plan ahead if you're going early. Clearly, a lot of people know this is the spot for a serious workout. The stairs themselves are brutal in the best way possible. After about three rounds, my legs were completely done--but it's such an effective workout. This place really gets your cardio in fast, and you feel accomplished every time you finish a round. The views along the way make it even more worth it. We also came back later in the day around 5:30 PM. It starts to get a bit dark around that time, so that's something to keep in mind, but it's still a great experience and totally worth it. Overall, if you're looking for a challenging, fun, and effective outdoor workout, Hillcrest Park stairs deliver every time. Just be ready for sore legs and limited parking during peak hours.

My kid had fun playing on both sides. They also have swings and a cool little gyro-spinning thing for the kids. We did visit the bathroom while there and it was pretty no frills, but several rolls of toilet paper and some hand soap outside, so that was a plus.
