We've come to this park several times as my son affectionately calls it the rainbow park. It has 2 sections, one for smaller kids and one for big kids and they both have their upsides. The small kid area had a little teeter totter and and merry go round with 2 slides and some climbing features. The big kid side has 3 slides that are pretty high, money bars, rock climbing walls and balancing areas. There are also different kinds of swings including one big seated swing for babies and a 2 person swing. We love this park, however even with doing things with my son here or hovering 1-2 feet away, he always manages to get hurt in some way. Our second time here we went down the tallest slide together and nearly flipped over inside and we both ended up with a slide burn. Most recently he got so excited and started running in the center area and thought he'd clear the concrete table, but didn't and his face started swelling immediately. Freak accident or not, despite this being a fun park, it's always come with consequences for us. We do always meet nice people here though and see familiar families who frequent this park with the nearby daycare down the street. Another issue is that teenagers will randomly be here causing trouble with no supervision. It's USUALLY fine, but one two separate occasions we've come and teens were pouring drinks down slides so the smaller kids would get wet and slip OR they were horsing around too close to the toddler area. All in all I'd still recommend the park, but just know that you still have to be paying attention to what your kid (and others) may be doing.

Wonderful park in Brea. Ever since our son was born 3.5 years ago, we've been frequenting more and more parks and playgrounds. This playground has one of the highest slides that I've seen in the area, so it may be a little scary for little ones. The playground has two areas: one for older kids and one for younger kids. It has tables and a rest area in the middle of the two playgrounds. Please see my photos. Overall, a great playground with ball walls and a flat area for kids to ride scooters/bikes, etc. It also has a hill for them to run up and play. I like this playground since it has a bathroom next to the equipment. I've been to plenty of playgrounds without bathrooms and that definitely is a must in my book. See ya there! The playground is closed during school hours, so be aware. It also closes when the sun goes down. Xie Xie!

This park is beautiful, brand new and has restrooms! The bad thing and only reason I have it 4 stars is because parking is non existent. You have to hope to find spots right next to the park or park across the way or at the school and walk around to the park. It has a shade and two tables and multiple benches around. The black top is move and even and has rubber bottom where the playground is.

I'm really surprised this park has so little reviews. Today is my second time at this beautiful park and it's just as fun as I remember. There is 2 sections one for kids 6 and older and another for little tots 5 and under. The park is in great shape and one of the nicest I've ever been to. The slides for the older kids are huge and I mean giant. You really have to see them in person to see what I'm talking about. The largest one is well over 10 feet tall. The park is connected to a school and the parking is kinda hidden of a side street/Alley. The bathrooms are really clean and right by the playground for the smaller kids which is convenient if you have a child who's pottie training and has to run to the bathroom. Only downer is that they close at dusk and enforce it other than that I highly recommend bringing your kids here.

Playground equipment in the 2-5 year old area.

Parking isn't great there but they've got a humongous two story slides structure that my kid absolutely loves to climb. Talk about no fear.

Ask the Community - Lagos de Moreno Park

Is this park closed all the time now? We tried many times I've never seen it's opened

This park is shared with the elementary school and is only open the public when school is not in session. Typically it opens to the public at 3:30 PM on weekdays. Due to it's location it also gets locked up at sundown every day.

I was hoping this park would have a smaller footprint or to be more grand in size, but it was still a good park. I did enjoy my walk around the park. Went around twice, since it wasn't a huge place - you have to actually make up your own route to get a good workout. But they also have an outdoor workout area. I think I'll have to try those out on my next visit. I did like sitting on one of their benches on the other end of the pond. And lots of parking, depending which lot you enter from.

I notice a lot of small groups meet up here for early morning and weekend sporting or exercise events. The little workout stations they put in on the northern end have been popular. Not much hiking or walking work out challenges here, but making a few laps will keep your heart rate up. The pond is nice to hang around, just watch out for the duck/bird droppings. I have enjoyed feeding the ducks small vegetables, they get very friendly very quickly. The southern end has the play structure for kids. Not the biggest despite the available land space, makes weekends tough as it gets very busy. Tell the kids to run laps up and down the hill right there if the energy is over the top. We did some parent foot races this weekend, that was pretty fun.

Such a lovely park, beautiful and calming. They have enough parking, they do games on the field too. They have a playground for older and younger kids, they also have an area down below you can have birthday's and you can ride around if you want too. I love this park it's sweet and everyone is always friendly here. Yesterday met our friend she met when she was around 2 years old, was nice to see them and let our kids play. It was such a beautiful night too. Calming breeze with the sun setting i got some beautiful pictures too. Baby girl and her friend got to play for a couple hours and met some friends too. Always nice kids at this park, they had fun. Except a little boy they were playing with ran off and the Mom wasn't paying attention and i physically could not chase him so I had baby girl try to catch him but then he just kept running further away. We told the Mom and she ran to try and find him was a bit nerve wrecking thinking this little boy was lost he ran through the bushes and then baby girl spotted him at the top of the hill where houses were thank God and the Mom ran over and got him. I can only imagine her scare i would have ran after him if I could but couldn't thank God baby girl spotted him though. After that the kids played a bit longer and I was able to catch a bit of the sunset :) Thank you for keeping this park so nice and pretty and all the friendly people that come here such great memories at this park watching baby girl grow up. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Parking was very limited at that time, so plan ahead if you're going early. Clearly, a lot of people know this is the spot for a serious workout. The stairs themselves are brutal in the best way possible. After about three rounds, my legs were completely done--but it's such an effective workout. This place really gets your cardio in fast, and you feel accomplished every time you finish a round. The views along the way make it even more worth it. We also came back later in the day around 5:30 PM. It starts to get a bit dark around that time, so that's something to keep in mind, but it's still a great experience and totally worth it. Overall, if you're looking for a challenging, fun, and effective outdoor workout, Hillcrest Park stairs deliver every time. Just be ready for sore legs and limited parking during peak hours.

There are 400+ steps to climb up and down. The steps are made of timber but could be wet and slippery from early morning dew, so I feel that a late morning trek is better when the stairs are dry. On my second visit, I went around 6 PM. Although the stairs are well lit, I just did not feel safe. I found myself alone at one point and looking behind me, checking if someone is coming out of the dark bushes. Maybe it's just me... But overall, if you would like to hit your 10K steps and/or your target heart rate, this is a fun way to go!
