They did not charge me for the total car check. Sam listed out exactly what I needed in order of importance with a fair price. He also answered all of my questions about what they do and gave me a timeline on how soon I would need it. All he needed was a business day's notice so he could order what he needed. I dropped my car off around lunch time yesterday and my car was ready by around 10AM the next day. OMG - my car rides so freaking smooth now! Better than when I first bought it. My mind is blown! I will continue to do business here and recommend this place. FYI - the location is a bit hard to find at first. Look for the green canopy and the G&M sign. It's right before you reach Krispy Kreme.

Unfortunately, my recent experience under the new ownership and management has been completely different. I took my car in for what should have been a routine oil change, and that was the beginning of a series of problems. After the service, I started experiencing issues with my vehicle that I had never experienced before. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to see a business I had trusted for more than two decades provide such a poor level of service. I contacted the new owner to explain the problems I was having. He told me he was busy helping other customers and said he would call me back. Unfortunately, he never did. That lack of follow-up and professionalism was especially disappointing after being a loyal customer for so many years. I am extremely frustrated with this experience and, sadly, I will not be returning to Metro Champion. It is unfortunate to see the level of service and professionalism decline so significantly after more than 20 years of trusting this shop with my vehicles.

Back in August 2024, during the brutal Texas heat, I accidentally overheated my SUV and completely blew out the engine. The tow truck driver told me it was "unrepairable" and suggested I start looking for a new vehicle. Still, I decided to get a few estimates on engine replacement--and every quote I got ranged from $5,000 to $8,000. Thankfully, a friend referred me to Joel, even though I live over an hour away. Let me tell you--it was so worth the drive. Joel and his team replaced my engine for only $2,400! On top of that, I was able to get some additional maintenance done while the vehicle was already in the shop. What stood out most to me was the honesty and transparency from start to finish. I never once felt pressured or taken advantage of. I'm beyond thankful I was referred to Five Star Auto Service--they've earned a customer for life.

The complaint is that he worked on our motorhome and said it was fixed. We went to pick it up and…read moreeverything he worked on did not work. We made the mistake of paying him before we even saw the vehicle. It appeared that he was very anxious to take our money before we even knew where the vehicle was. He would not refund our money and promised that he would fix everything. Several weeks passed, they called and said everything was ready to go and that everything on the list worked. We found when we got there that he had added more to the price and things still did not work. We left it for another month. They finally called and said it was ready and that everything was fixed. We got there and the price had changed again and it still did not work. So we left again and waited several more weeks. They called again and said it was ready. When we got there he wasn't there and the price had changed once more. Half of the things still did not work. We could not get a refund for the items not fixed. He would not give us the keys until we paid more money. He told us then that we didn't know what we were talking about and that in Texas the auto mechanic can do anything they want and you have no recourse. We were forced to leave and leave our motorhome there. He said he had a lawyer on standby at all times. We were told to take the mo9torhome and not bother him anymore and pay him more money. At this time he has the motorhome and will not give us any of our money back unless we give him more money. We started all of this so it would be fixed and we could sell it because we are elderly, living on social security only and we needed the money. He is the owner and his name is Corey Ebert.
