Beware: No Show, No Call, Precious Time Wasted…read more Had an emergency with a rim which had a hair crack. I was on a spare, called Southside. Male answered the phone, told me he could take care of us in 35 minutes. We arrived, the place was closed, on a Wednesday at 12:30pm. I called him 3x and no answer, kept going to voicemail after ringing several times. Come on man, if something changed, I get it, all I ask is for you to have called us and let us know or at the very least to pick up the phone and let me know so i didn't just leave me there waiting. I had my wife and kids in the car, on a road trip to NY from South Carolina after Hurricane Helene.

I recently went for an alignment which I successfully received but a member of the team was incredibly hard to speak to because for some reason she felt I was silly for my choice in tire sizes on one of my vehicles. I completely think that is fine, not everyone sees eye to eye, but because of the way she was treating me and speaking to me was not entirely the kindest. I think she completely ignored my request to have my suspension inspected before moving forward with the alignment. I told her that I suspected the wheel bearing was giving way and if so, I would like to take the car to my mechanic and avoid getting the alignment at that moment because it wouldn't be my best option. She doesn't say the staff had anything to say about the wheel bearing so I was pretty excited that the noises coming from my car were probably just tire cupping from uneven wear. Well, I take my car to my mechanic the very next day and he lets me know that my wheel bearing is essentially on its way out. I couldn't believe it because 1. It should be impossible to do a perfect alignment with a failing wheel bearing 2. I've trusted you all for so long to make sure my vehicle was safe and for great tires and I even tipped on the alignment. It's hard to find great mechanics that you can trust and I've always been so happy to let you all service my car that I actually feel betrayed by the bad customer service and the potential that I wasn't warned about a dangerous issue with my vehicle. It sucks ands it's sad, but I will not be returning.

My husband thought one of the camper tires looked worn, so we drove over to Richmond to find tires. We absolutely lucked into Mincz Tires on the recommendation of another tire place that didn't have what we needed. We got to Mincz about 10am and were done by 11:15am. The owner, Ken, is very knowledgeable and explained the various options. He said most people just want the cheapest tires. We went ahead with the high quality tires he recommended - Maxis brand - which he said were twice as heavy as the cheap ones. He called and had them delivered in about 15 minutes. They put them on the trailer as it sat in front of the shop, still connected to the truck. The cost for the two tires and labor was $311. At no time did we feel pressured, just a lot of information from a very interesting guy. When they were finished, he said that the inside of the other tire, which looked better on the outside, was actually splitting on the inside and would have blown soon. So, we saved the cost of roadside service, plus met a nice person. We feel lucky to have found this family-owned business!

It helps me to regularly keep up with my vehicle maintenance. The only time my husband's car needed rebalancing after a service they were super responsive and helpful to fix it.
