The good: Nice open area with clean tables. Smoker is set outside the eating area and smells wonderful. The sauce is ok, but at first taste it was overly vinegary - probably just needed to be mixed better, cus after awhile, it was pretty good. The wait staff were ok, at first. The food didn't take too long to get to the table. The Texas Twinkies are wonderful! The bad: The brisket really is not as good as everyone says on here. It did not have a good smokey flavor, and it was a bit sweet, too sweet, even without the sauce. (Try Sparky's in Hatch and come back and tell me that this is better than Sparky's. Even Rudy's barbecue chain is better, sorry). The ribs were just ok. Nothing special. And not much meat. The sausage... Well, I was expecting it to look like it does in their pictures... Like it was thrown on the grill and basted in sauce. It did seem to be "homemade" sausage... say by them, or someone local, mostly because the casing was really thick and unedible. No big deal, I'd rather skin a homemade sausage then eat the casing on a factory sausage. It was cold and diagonally sliced. The service was great, at first. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the area. However, after the meal, we were waiting some time before anyone walked near us. As one of the employees was walking by I asked for assistance. She wasn't our waitress, but I thought she could send our waitress out. All she did was walk on past us, without looking or acknowledging us, growled incoherently in Spanish and went inside. I mean, maybe she did let our waitress know, because she came outside, but... she didn't need to growl at us like that. I'd say it was all also very overpriced. Three small ribs (about 3" long each, and like I said, hardly any meat at all), three slices of brisket (about 4-5" x 1.5" x 1/16") and a cold sausage ... a dollop of mac n cheese (about 1 cup), that, as one other person noted, had a grainy texture, for $23. A canned soda, $1.97. The main negative I have though, is that there must be MSG in their rub, sauce, or macaroni, or an MSG derivative (hydrolyzed proteins, inosinates... are the worst) - because I am allergic to MSG and get really sick, as I did within 1/2 hr after eating there, and have been sick for the past 5 days. Just disappointed. read more

4th time, we try to eat here, and every time we come, they run out of chicken. We called in the first couple of times, placed order for take out, drove quite a ways to pick up the order, and when we got there, first time they informed that that the owner took all the chicken for catering. The second time, they informed us...they "just ran out" So why take the order in the first place???? Make us drive a good 10 miles for nothing. We then tried to dine in, and both times, they ran out of chicken. Very poor planning, and not a good way of doing business. read more

Rollin' Smoke BBQ - He enjoys the ribs! I love the mac and cheese with bacon! - Barbeque Near Me - Anthony, Texas

If you want local this is the place. It was a cool ambiance right on the main street, the smell is inevitable and it did not disappoint! The burger with all meats was literally a heart attack but it was so good. The sausage, brisket and mac n cheese were delicious. Will definitely be back soon. Its great for outdoors when we get nice weather. read more

Loves this place! Food was great and service as well! Will be going back! I highly recommend.

Visiting family in the area and found this gem after going to a couple of wineries in the valley. The smell hits you as soon as you get in the parking lot. The 1,000 gallon converted propane tank smoker is a site to see. The brisket, sausage and ribs are sooo good. The staff is excellent and everything looks and feels authentic southwest. Wish we lived here so we could go again. read more

Friendly staff and delicious food! You have to try it out! I had the 3 meat plate with pulled pork, brisket and the ribs with a side of coleslaw. I ordered the twinkies additionally, they were spicy but very tasty. For the kids I ordered the brisket sandwich with chips and they loved it. read more

Didn't have brisket by 5 pm, even though I ordered in advance. Wasted 30 minutes driving there. Won't waste my time going there again.

Took my father in law to Rollin Smoke BBQ over the weekend ti celebrate his birthday. It was both of our first times at Rollin. The pork ribs were perfectly seasoned with the rub. Unfortunately the brisket was a bit dry. The waitress recommended both but I have a feeling the brisket was a day old. The pinto beans were delicious and had shreds of brisket but the portions were very small (4 oz) for the price ($22) with 2 meats. I was expecting more flavor from the mac n cheese. Also, we went midafternoon so it was very busy but the service was slow. I'll give Rollin another try but will not order the brisket next time. read more

Great food and equally if not better service. I had the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. All was as good as I've ever had!

This was some lip smackin cue! The ribs were meaty and delicious! Hardly used the bbq sauce. Just sop the ribs on the juices that were in the container. Brisket was ok. A little dry but I had the fatty pieces which were good. Good flavor though. I kept licking my fingers. And the beans are the shit! Mac n cheese tasted good but prefer a little creamier. I'll have the chicken tomorrow. So glad I stopped in on the way to El Paso. I will go down to Anthony when I crave bbq. Other places in town (Cruces) are pretty bad. Been going to Rollin Smoke when I lived in Vegas. Glad to see there's one here! read more

Rollin' Smoke BBQ - Three meat combo - ribs, chicken, brisket, mac n cheese, baked beans. - Barbeque Near Me - Anthony, Texas

Definitely worth going! They were out of a few items on the menu ( the loaded giant potato and Texas Twinkie) so I settled for the meat combo. I had the ribs and sausage which were excellent; and I had the beans for the side which were amazing as well! Everyone else loved their slaw and chicken basket. I recommend coming here if you are not in a hurry and can chill and just enjoy yourself and or company. It's a little pricy but I've noticed that about any BBQ place now a days. read more

We tried a variety and my husband liked the brisket the best, I liked the sausage. When we tried it, the didn't have the actual building yet. They didn't have a bathroom, much for seating or any drinks except for sweet tea. Now it looks like they are established there. We will go back and try it again. read more

Not worth the drive! Terrible food- ordered a pound $27 of brisket to go. Should have known better by staff approach as if they were in a hurry to get the order in (mind you they had no customers.)I decided to overlook the fact that it was lazily packaged- wish i would've taken pic brisket looked horrible as if had been kept out to be made into jerked beef it was super dry and heavily seasoned- needless to say the barbecue sauce was super watery and tasted like pure vinegar. The only thing that was descent was the potato salad. The coleslaw was super watery and with a pound of cranberries. Don't waste your gas and Money I should've just gone to Rudy's. They make this place seem like it's the cream of the crop but more like cream of the crap. read more

Down from Indy visiting a friend and stopped by for some TX BBQ. I was not disappointed. Definitely a must if you are in or driving through New Mexico. The food quality is amazing from the bbq sauce, ribs, and macaroni salad (serving is too small). I like their menu as they have combos and all different prices. The owner is hands on and helps out his staff. The servers are very attentive. The ambience is family friendly with a rustic edge. When they have bands attend it's a pretty cool place to hang at. As the business grows I anticipate more restroom availability. Overall, a lovely place to eat. Review from local.. read more

The fresh ingredients, homemade sausage, the best ever Mac n cheese, the beans were amazing and saving the best for last...the fall off the bone ribs. The best I have ever had and I am from the south! Don't miss this adorable spot on the NM / Texas border! Texas side of course! read more

This was our first time actually sitting at the restaurant and it has a great rustic atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was more than delicious! The portions are more than you can handle, so we had plenty to take home. If you want a little bit of everything, my husband recommends the shotgun sandwich. That thing was huge! Oh, and you must try the Texas Twinkie's, 10/10!!! The brisket is perfect and the sausage has that snap when you bite into it. We had a pleasant visit and will definitely be going back more often. 5 stars for sure! read more

Wow we might actually have a genuine barbecue restaurant here adjacent to El Paso!! We loved the setting, the developing patio and unique bar inside. Great music was playing and the servers/owners were personable and very accommodating. Now to the food- the brisket was tender and so flavorful. The pork ribs were tender and meaty. The sausage had that snap to the casing we both like. All the meats are Texas style, but the sauce is unique with just a hint of sweetness that compliments all. We want to try the chicken next time. Jalapeño "twinkie" was really different but so tasty. Our only wish was that the Mac n cheese would have been more stove hot but it was also good despite that. We are already talking about our next visit. We know we better go as much as we can now before this place has a line waiting down the street!! read more

A highly visible (near central Anthony) and popular restaurant, this place knows barbecue. While they emphasize their meats, the sides are pretty darned good too. Wish I could give more stars! The food here is absolutely amazing and tasted homemade rather than processed/prepackaged and then thawed. Brisket is nice, moist and not too tough. Sausage was so tasty! Don't even get me started on the ribs, the meat falls off the bone when you take a bite. Their mac and cheese is definitely different from what I'm used to but it definitely was delicious! It wasn't as cheesy as most recipes I've had, however the spices and pieces of meat that are mixed in make it so smoky and good, I wish I had ordered some to go. Aside from the food, the service also deserves higher than 5 stars. Although they are only serving to go orders, we were greeted upon arrival and the employees, as well as who I could assume was the owner/manager, were very kind. 1000/10 would recommend this place to anyone who loves good food. Definitely coming back! read more

Well, had read good reviews for this joint, and I do love good barbecue. I had to drive out of my way to the edge of things, to get here. Bit of a trek. As I pulled up and parked, it looked pretty fun and inviting. I had trouble finding the entrance and wandered in one door that must have been for a party area. Then I wandered into the following door and think I found the entrance. The gentleman inside greeted me and said he would be right with me. I still had to glance at the menu and pick out what I wanted. I got a two-meat plate and a dessert. Nothing too grand. The guy put my order together quickly and they got me rung up and ready to go. Service (to-go) was good. Decided to bring it home to eat. As far as the food: the baby-back ribs are...okay. They were super dry, barely had any meat on the bones, and just did not have the best flavoring. Not memorable. Moving on to the beef brisket, well, it was better. Had a good smoke flavor, paired well with the sauce they provided, and was quite tender. A little more fatty than I prefer, but I guess I should have asked about that upfront, and asked for leaner slices. The smoked apple pie was quite good, for dessert. Was this the best meal I had ever eaten? Would not say so, but it was alright. Not sure it was up to the hype though. I might go back here, but am in no hurry. Maybe next time I find myself on the western edge of EP. I have had better BBQ in other towns though. Eat here at your own discretion. Also, price is rather steep for the portions you receive. And there was no bread or pickles offered, with the meat... read more

BBQ pulled pork sandwich was delicious! Full of flavor and not dry at all. 6 out of 5 star!

I happened to hear about this place through my new hairstylist! We had been trading knowledge about what recipes we liked for smoking different kinds of meats, and she mentioned she was going to this place for dinner. Since my family has been trying to find great local bbq in El Paso, I immediately told my husband about it. He picked up a spread for us the first time: brisket, pulled pork, baby back ribs, sausage, mac n cheese, beans. All the meats were delicious. The mac n cheese was maybe a little bland. The sides also seemed tiny in portion, but the meat portion more than makes up for it, so I'm not that mad about it. We tried the chicken the second time and also enjoyed it. We're still looking forward to the dino sized beef ribs, but we're never early enough :p Definitely check this out if you're in this area, but call ahead if you're timing going in the evening because they might be sold out! read more
