I set the sugar level to light, yet it reached a level of sweetness that was so intense that I had to get it redone. Even with an ever lighter level of sweetness, it still tasted excessively sweet. Overall, an interesting experience. If this is the best that Merced has to offer, I feel kind of bad for everyone in Merced for not having access to better drinks. Not sure if I'd get the chance to return as I don't normally go to Merced, but on the off-chance I end up in this area again I'd hope that maybe one of their other drinks was better.

Dear Rollen DO Nuts, I hate you. Well, let me be more honest: I love you, but my potentially olympian-caliber physique hates you. The Saturday-Sunday early morning runs before everyone else gets up, for the Times, coffee, and Rollen DO Nuts. The streets are quiet and the sun is new and rising, neighbors' lawns are glistening with prisms of dew, making colors hum. And your store, quietly buzzing on G-street, next to that new underpass, churning out these donuts. I order a half-dozen -- apple fritters, old-fashioned, raised glazed, maple bars, plain cake (because you know I'm on A Diet), but really anyone you make will do. You smile your soft, warm, crunchy-on-the-outside smile. I take you home in a pink box and eat you with my family, while you are warm and fresh. Your are maddeningly perfect in your balance of crunchy-soft-chewy, with crispy glazed sugar goodness. I haven't even started on the fritters -- those kill me. Is it right to love a donut so much? The donuts are so good! Like when they are freshly made and glazed they are obviously delicious, but even after a couple hours they are still so so good. They are very fluffy and not too greasy like some other places. I love the cinnamon rolls and donut holes. They have really good customer service, everyone is friendly! The ham and cheese croissants are great too! I like the one with jalapeño in it, but sometimes I take no jalapeño. And when they warm it up for you it melts the cheese and that's when it's the best. read more

I love glaze and cinnamon donuts!! so airy and soft. the icing is perfect amount of sweetness and I like the texture of each donut.
