Our old redwood deck was replaced with a beautiful new composite deck.  Thank you Israel Rojas
    Rick C.

We decided to take the plunge and replace our 35 year old redwood deck with a new AZEK (composite). Once we decided on the product we relied on AZEK's preferred contractors in our area. Rojas Construction was listed as a Gold Level Contractor. I then went to YELP to see what people thought about Rojas Construction. I made my decision on everything I read and called Israel to come and provide a bid. From the very beginning I new I was dealing with someone who was honest and equally important - someone who cared about his craft. He felt the job might take 10 days given the rains. He was right on. Israel cares about the details. He did a number of small items that came up during the process... and he did them without fussing over price (Thank you). Israel was on site every day of the job, and his two employees (Antonio and Pedro) were great hard workers. We are thrilled with their work and professionalism. In addition, I needed some work (handrails) to be installed at El Campanil Theatre. Israel, Antonio, Pedro and his metal fabricator Tomas were able to do the job on a short time frame and ahead of schedule. Don't hesitate to call and ask for a bid.

I was in desperate need of a new back fence. After several quotes from different contractors, I decided to go with Rojas construction. Isreal's quote was competitive with other prices. I am very happy with the service I received when I hired Rojas's construction to build a new back fence at my home. Isreal and his team were trustworthy, knowledgeable and used good quality wood with superior craftsmanship. Isreal is an honest man that knows what he is talking about. I will be using isreal and his team for any future projects.

Tibor and crew are fabulous. There were several challenges with the existing decking. Now it looks beautiful! The whole crew works SO hard, even on weekends. Plus they like the music I like. I find myself sitting on the upper deck rocking out while they do the lower deck. I hope they don't mind my singing.

He came early and also wore a mask. Good start. But, never heard back with an estimate. It's been 4 weeks.

I saw all of these 5 star reviews for Home Quality Remodeling and I thought 'they seem too good to…read morebe true'. We interviewed 4 companies for our project; which was a bedroom refresh (including removing popcorn from the ceiling) and a full bathroom remodel. All of the companies were around the same as far as cost for what we wanted on the bathroom. One of the companies didn't seem to want the bedroom part of the project and were really over charging for it. One of the representatives couldn't seem to keep times and dates straight, so we were down to two companies. We have never done a remodeling project like this and I had A LOT of questions. Shay at Home Quality Remodeling took the time to answer the many questions that I had, and he came back multiple times to lay out what we wanted. He was low pressure and patient, and he really seemed to want the business. So we went with him. Shay spent a lot of time explaining processes that I didn't really understand...I'm sure that I tried his patience more than a few times. Like many people, we went into this remodel project imagining all of the things that can go wrong and an idealized version of what we wanted. While there were a few hiccups, everything was completed ahead of schedule and totally to our satisfaction. The team who was on site doing all of the work were courteous and helpful. They cleaned up often and thoroughly and were willing to do more than required to make sure that the job was up to their exacting requirements. When all is said and done, we are very happy with the final result and wouldn't hesitate to have these guys do more work in the future. So I am adding to the five star review-although some of the processes were a challenge, the end result deserves no less than five stars I am somewhat embarrassed with the before pictures, you don't really see how bad things are until you see the improvement - from a 30 year old raising three boys beat the hell out of it bathroom to the new, luxurious bathroom that we have now.

This included a complete demo of the master bath (including removing the tub and extending the shower) and partial demo of the guest bath. I was very happy and pleased with the results. From the beginning of the design phase through the final touches of the "punch list" my HQR Project manager, Ronnie Illan, was in constant contact with me. He helped me with materials questions, project timelines and even picked up some of the materials for me. From the beginning it was clear my satisfaction was his number one priority. The contractors HQR used on my project were equally friendly and easy to communicate with. Even when I made some changes in the middle of the remodel (which is bound to happen!) everyone was friendly and accommodating. In short, I was very pleased with the work HQR did and I would highly encourage others to include them when you are getting bids...I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Attached are pictures of both remodeled bathrooms. I've included pictures of the original master bath as well as the 3D rendering of the remodeled master bath BEFORE any work was done. Notice how close the new Master Bath is to the 3D rendering.

I joined a Facebook ADU Group and started learning about the permit and construction process. I read through many Yelp reviews and found Wafaa at waArchitecture + Design for she had great reviews and the professionalism I was searching for. Wafaa helped me designed and received building permit for converting my existing garage room and laundry space into a 270 square foot JADU of one bedroom. Waffaa was responsive, patient, and flexible during the design phase. What impressed me the most was that her and her team's speed of correspondence. I am *really* fussy about hiring contractors. So many of them conduct their business sloppily and…read moreunprofessionally I can't believe they stay in business at all. So I do my research and am VERY selective in who I hire when our house needs work. My wife and I hired Andy Fernandes and Adval and they proved to be the real deal. Andy was *always* prompt - every time he or anyone from his company was scheduled to arrive they arrived early. Andy and his crew were communicative, clearly very knowledgeable, and straightforward, which is to say that they told me *and showed me* what was really happening and not what they wanted to promise or what they thought we wanted to hear. And they followed through exactly as they said they would. The quality of their work was outstanding. We had a few kitchen cabinets that had gotten damaged by the 2014 Napa quake and were looking like they were going to fall off the wall. Andy sent over a master carpenter (he spent years building stuff for moneyed people on Martha's Vineyard, who can be quite demanding) who didn't "upsell" us by telling us one of the cabinets needed to be rebuilt (the build cabinet in their own shop), he showed us in detail exactly what the problem was and convinced skeptical me that a new cabinet built from real plywood instead of the particle board of the cabinets the flipper who sold us the house had installed was the way to go. They reused the facing from the old cabinets, so the match was immaculate. Price-wise, yeah, they weren't the cheapest I could have found, but they were most definitely not close to the high end, they were right in the ballpark, and I figure if I demand quality I have to be wiling to pay for it. And we most decidedly got what we paid for. I repeat again that I am VERY picky about contractors, but I unhesitatingly give Adval Construction my highest recommendation. Our job was pretty small, but I would hire them for a big job in a heartbeat. This is the way construction contracting is supposed to work.

The existing flat roof was beyond repair, so Sean came out to discuss replacement options. He was professional, informative, and down-to-Earth and explained the pros and cons of modified bitumen torch down vs. TPO, batt (fiberglass) insulation vs. poly iso boards, and he even quoted a new pitched roof. My wife and I ultimately decided to reslope along with 60-mil TPO and 4-inch poly iso insulation boards. Permitting went smoothly and work commenced quickly. Almost immediately the demo crew discovered several unexpected roof layers that had accumulated over decades of previous ownership, and Sean graciously charged us for removal of only a single additional layer. The original plan was to reuse the existing downspouts. However, due to the thickness of the TPO and insulation boards, another change order was necessary to purchase seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts. Sean kept me up to date throughout the process, sending daily photos from an overhead drone and answering our many questions regarding structures and materials. Upon project completion some damage to the existing skylight was discovered. Sean generously offered to replace the skylight free of charge, going so far as to order a custom model to fit the non-standard opening dimensions. In retrospect, we should have better heeded Sean's advice to expect some debris. Although Golden Heights cleaned up all material outside, I spent days afterwards removing dust, dirt, and debris that fell through to the garage. Tarps over essentials instead of packing up would be recommended. In the month or so since then we've experienced multiple rains without any issues. The new slope, gutters, and downspouts channel water flawlessly. Despite the current heat wave, the bright, white TPO and insulation are keeping the house around 15 °F cooler than the outside without any active cooling. And we've gotten compliments from neighbors on the implemented changes. All in all, I highly recommend Golden Heights Remodeling for roofing projects both small and large. Their crews are professional, and Sean keeps you informed every step of the process.
