I recently purchased a used Mazda. I was so excited! I went to Rohrich Mazda on October 3rd to program a start key I purchased online. I spoke with Sean Kelly. He was rude, obnoxious and condescending. He started by first yelling "What do you need..do you have an appointment?" and asking me if "I even owned a Mazda". When I told him I bought a key online, he yelled that they "don't do that" and that "prices for a new one would be $170 to start", like I couldn't afford anything they sold. 8-10 other employers were standing in a group, watching this, adding to my embarrassment. I'll be buying a new vehicle in several years and it definitely won't be a Rohrich Mazda. This was an embarrassing, horrible experience. I don't even want to drive my Mazda. read more

Over the past month I had been on the fence about purchasing a new vehicle. I had narrowed my options down to Toyota, Subaru, or a Mazda. I started reaching out to a few dealers about Subaru Ascents, and Mazda CX-9s. Jay from Rochrich replied to an email at 6:30 in the morning. His communication was flawless, frequent, but not overbearing. He also asked what my preferred method of communication was. Appreciated! Pricing was clear cut as he listed the sticker, MSRP, and what my final price would be. I made two visits, one to test drive, and a second to inevitably purchase my new car. Jon assisted with my purchase too. Jay and Jon were very attentive and thorough both during the test drive and addressing any questions I had. Dave and Kelly are responsible, helpful and courteous . Sent in my Mazda 6 to fix some front camera rattling noise on rough roads. The issue was not easily solved so I went there twice and they could great care of it. The second time the mechanics drove with me to make sure the issue was properly fixed, and they offered me a complimentary tire rotation for me having to come twice. Dave also considered doing my state inspection early putting himself in my place so I could save future visits. Also had bad experience here before, John didn't even call me when my car was ready. And the rattling sound was not solved - in a later visit the guy just told me to give up. Mazda defect for new cars! The experience depends on the person you meet. read more

I purchased a new CX-9 and with under 50,000 miles have replaced the battery four times. The vehicle has been towed to Rohrich on two occasions due to the vehicle not starting. The problem was identified after being in the shop for two weeks and a part was ordered. Unfortunately, the part was not installed and the problem persisted. By replacing the battery for the fourth time a band aid was put on and the problem was not fixed. I have since taken the vehicle to another dealership who quickly fixed the problem but it is now not under warranty costing me a considerable amount of money. I tried to schedule a State and emission inspection and oil change on July 15. The first slot available is August 27th. My inspection runs out end of July. Stopped by for an oil change and tire rotation today. They were able to get us in and out in about an hour. They have a waiting room with free WiFi to pass the time so the wait isn't too bad when you make an appointment. Oil changes are free when you purchase a vehicle from them so we only had to pay $20 for the tire rotation which is a bit high but not terrible. I'd recommend them if you need service on your Mazda. read more

My experience with Rohrich Mazda was nothing less than horrible. I contacted the dealership about a specific vehicle, worked with them to negotiate a deal, and triple checked that I had all the required documentation. They had a week from the time I agreed to the purchase to the time I made the 5 hour drive one way to pick up the vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership I was told they were unable to process the transaction due to a paperwork issue that I had previously brought up three times prior to coming in. I was told each time it would not be a problem. The Sales Manager and Business Manager blamed the Sales Person for what they called a miscommunication. However, they also should have checked the paperwork prior to my arrival as they knew this was an out of state deal. The paperwork for my deal should have been ready in advance at any competent dealership. Due to Rohrich Mazda's complete lack of professionalism I rearranged my whole week to make a 10 hour roundtrip for absolutely no reason. They've promised to send me a $150 check for my trouble, which barely covers the gas; let alone my time, frustration, and other expenses. My experience was unacceptable and I am writing this review to encourage others to reconsider purchasing from this inept establishment. read more

My lease was due this coming March and I have been going to different dealerships since before the holidays to do some test drives and drive many different models, not knowing what I wanted to get this time around. I test drove the Subaru Crosstrek and Forester, the Ford Bronco, the VW Tiguan and the Toyota RAV4. I must say, I was most impressed with the Mazda CX-5 for the ride of the vehicle and what it had to offer. The salesman that helped me was very knowledgeable about the CX-5 and he was very patient with all of the questions that I had. I was very excited to get a new vehicle and could tell just in the three years since I leased my Nissan Rogue that there have been so many changes, my Nissan didn't have the "new" feel anymore. I was happy with the fact that all of the paperwork was pretty much done prior to my arrival to the dealership and I didn't have to spend a lot of time doing paperwork. I took my new Mazda in for the first oil change. My husband checked the oil and and it was full at that time. Two thousand miles later I am on the highway and my oil light comes on my husband then checked the oil and it was low. I called Mazda and they were going to put me thru to the service manager Dave. I called back 6x the lady told me she said she could see him but he would not answer his phone. Dave called back to tell me how busy he was and this is America and he is short handed. He is very secure in his job because he said " he was going to put me straight and his name was Dave Allamo" He finally said to bring it in five days from now. I may have to trailer it in. My salesperson, Jay, went above and beyond, making custom videos of the vehicles I was interested in to send to me while I was recovering from injuries that followed the accident that totaled my previous car. He recognized that I wasn't buying a new vehicle because I'd been ready to do so and that I was busy/distracted by the insurance madness that comes from being hit by another driver. I have owned Mazda vehicles since 2003. I can not, in good conscience, ever... EVER... recommend Rohrich as a dealer. You would have to be the ideal ignorant consumer that walks into a showroom and pays sticker price on the first car you see to really believe that this dealership is not out to gouge you. When I bought my first Mazda in '03, I went to Rohrich for the first time. After test driving the vehicle I wanted up at Billco in the North Hills, I went to Rohrich to see what kind of deals they had on a car I spec'd out. If Rohrich was the first dealership I had ever been to, I might have had a different perspective. But after getting first rate attention at Billco, I was shocked to have to wait (I was the only person in the showroom and there were at least three salespeople in the room), then I was insulted to overhear the manager later tell her salesperson who was helping me loud enough so that I could overhear outside of her office, "well, is he a buyer or a shopper? Is he buying today or not? Because I want to close up here." Finally the salesman came back and said they didn't have a car like I wanted and that it didn't exist in the area, so I should take the one on their lot that wasn't at all what I wanted, had fewer options, and he wanted $3000 more than I was willing to pay. The next week, I went to Moon Township Mazda and got exactly the brand new vehicle that I wanted (they located it at another dealer and had it shipped there) and I paid what I thought I should pay for it. No hassles, no runaround. Jump ahead a couple years. I return to Rohrich Mazda to test drive an RX-8. Why would I do that? Because I didn't really care if I test drove one of their cars because I'd never buy it from them anyway. And their salesman was just as enthusiastic to tear into the car. The car had maybe 30 miles on it and he told me to redline it and take it to 80 in 2nd gear. Mind you, I actually own an RX-8 now and that's perfectly normal to do once you warm up the car. In fact, RX8 owners have a saying about a redline a day. But this car hadn't even been broken in yet, and if you know where Rohrich is located, you'll know that there isn't really a good test drive location to get it to 80 that's nearby. I was shocked (but didn't mind) that a salesperson would be so gung-ho to overdrive a brand new vehicle on a test drive. This was another reason I wouldn't recommend a car from here. For example, you can't take a Subaru WRX Sti or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo out on a test drive because the dealer knows that it will get joyridden. Rohrich seemed to have no problem letting their 8's get joyridden. End my rant about their dealership. Enter the service department. I got a timing belt replaced at 60,000 miles. They quoted a price almost twice as high as it actually cost me to get done elsewhere. That's why I'd never take it in for service there. Sadly, you're limited when you have a rare engine style, so I might have to go there at some point, but I hope it isn't soon. read more

I went here to get my oil change in the Mazda service station. So since I am new to this location and dealership, I was expecting an actual service station next to the show room. Well.... not so much. This place was actually a collision center owned by Rohrich. Also beware of their parking which is behind. I am usually used to pulling up to the dealership next to the cars and get my car looked like, but I guess things are tight in terms of space there. Anyway I made an appt a few days prior and apparently they didn't record it, but they did help me out. It was just weird because I was pulled into this guy's cube, like the one that you go into when you buy a car, which I thought was rather weird. The guy tried to sell me synthetic oil which was $20 more and I was like, "No way" since I know that my car takes synthetic blend, which is cheaper. I told him that if my car was falling apart I would consider it, but this is a brand spanking new car, so I was like "NOPE" Anyway, they were cool about it, and tried to safe face by saying "that's the same thing I would have done" and took my car to their shop. One of the cool things about this place is that you can see them take your car in and work on in while you are waiting in their waiting area. This place has plenty of plugs for your computer and has free WiFi, so that's a definite plus. Anyway I waited for about 45 min for the oil change and complimentary car wash (I feel like they squirted my car with water, but whatever, it looked better than when it came in. Also keep in mind that I am used to getting my car hand washed back in Atlanta and Austin, so I hate these automated joints that are around here). Anyway, I paid my $30 bill and went on my way. Sure it was a decent experience, but the location is inconvenient to me and I just thought it was weird that they tried to up sell me the kind of oil that I used, as well as the fact that it was an actual collision place. Rorich sold us a lemon. One year later when we went back to let them know we were unsatisfied customers ( and willing to give them more business by agreeing on a new car) they basically said we should've known better than to purchase the car in the first place. They blamed the customer for selling us a faulty car & do not stand behind their used products. Our VW has 50000 miles on it (used- bought it with 35000)and already needs a new transmission, among other costly repairs we put in it this past year. They backed the car when they wanted to sell it, but when we went to them with a complaint they were entirely accusatory of the victim. Customer service is not what it used to be. My son and I test drove the CX-9 at another local dealership. My wife was working at the time, so when I reached out to Rohrich about being interested in the CX-9 GT, I was put in touch with Jay. I wanted to bring my wife in to check it out, but we were also concerned about Mazda's dependability and resale value compared to the Highlander and Pilot. Jay wrote a very lengthy and detail email that helped eased our concerns. Prior to us arriving at the dealership jay went out of his way and made a personal video going over the vehicle for my wife to view. When we arrived at the dealership we we greeted by very friendly staff and manager Jeff. Our decision to buy at Rohrich came down to the friendly staff (Dale, CJ and Jeff), the lifetime maintenance and Jay our salesman. I have never dealt with a salesman that took so much time and was so knowledgeable about the vehicle. One week after purchase and Jay is still proving to be the best salesman out there. The car I'm buying is a showroom car, and they have kept it in meticulous shape. They take care of their customers by offering additional benefits like replacing lost keys for the first year. They've also provided discounts on the accessories I've ordered. I've received such good service that I would be astounded if they didn't treat all their customers this way because they appear to have high standards. The staff is uncooperative, untrustworthy, unreliable and incompetent. The manager is particularly rude. Just recently, my car's tire pressure light was turning on and beeping repeatedly. We had to go to the dealership thrice during our work hours; each time they filled in air and say that nothing else looks wrong. They repeatedly misdiagnosed the problem and the issue still remains. The manager, instead of helping resolve the issue he put the blame on me. This is the first time I have experienced such service. Their behavior was particularly shocking. read more

Jay O was good for the most part. We found the car online and contacted him about it. We came from 2 hours away on a Thursday and he had it out for us, ready to go. We went for a test drive and decided to buy the car. We were offered financing but wanted to use our own bank. We gave a $250 deposit and agreed to come back the following day with a check for the car. We let Jay know that we had to work Friday so we would be there close to 6 (closing time) but that we would make it before they closed. No problem. That was fine. So we drove 2 hours back home. Friday, we got the check from our bank and hit the road. We texted Jay from the road to let him know that we would be there about 20 minutes before closing. He responded that they could not fit us in because the paper work would take 30 minutes. He gave us a phone number for Jennifer Parish, who would be doing the paper work. We called her and told her that we would be there at 5:40. She said that we could not come and give her $15000 for this car because they "close at 6 o'clock on the dot." If Jay would have told us that we needed to be there by 5:15 to get this done, we would have been there. He did not. So we got a hotel, another $80. We would have just walked away at that point, but I had already given them $250, non refundable. Saturday morning, we went in and gave them our check and waited for Jennifer Parish to summon us. She came down and apologized, saying that her computer shuts off on Friday at 6 (ridiculous excuse). She then went back up to do the paperwork. When she finally had us come in, my 9 year old son was talking about the cars in the showroom and she jokingly told him to come back when he was old enough and she would give him a job. I took that opportunity to reply with "As long as you don't show up too close to closing time." She responded, saying that it was security's fault (not the magic computer timer that she blamed before). Later she said that it was the IT department that would not let her do the paperwork the day before. I think maybe they should list there closing time as 5:15 if that is the last time that you are allowed to come in and give them business. What business turns away the sale of a $15000 car because they would have to stay 10 minutes after closing time? read more

I recently bought my first car here with Jay. As a young female, the car buying process was completely intimidating. I left multiple dealerships (before going to Rohrich Mazda) because I felt overly pressured and uncomfortable. My experience at Rohrich Mazda was completely different than these other dealerships. From the first reply email to the final contract signing, Jay made me feel safe, taken care of, and looked out for. The pricing was very fair based on my research. When someone hit my parked car in a parking lot just an hour after purchase, I texted Jay in near hysterics. He calmly helped me and made sure I was given an impossibly low price to have the scratched paint fixed ASAP. He repeatedly went above and beyond, and we have even stayed in touch since then as friends. I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience at Rohrich Mazda with Jay. I had three different people contact me immediately regarding the car, trim, and package that interested me. Jay, an amazing car salesman, sent me video footage of the exact car I ended up purchasing. do not, i repeat, do not get your car worked on here!!!! -overpriced (i took it elsewhere and it was 15% cheaper) -incompetent (the other shop found stuff that they didn't and had to do what little work they did on my car, all work over again) -they will charge you for things you don't ask for and tell you, you have to pay for it!!!!!!! i brought my car to them to find out why my check engine light was on and give me an estimate: that was $89. after they did their tests, they said it would take them a week and cost more than pep boys, so i said i was taking it somewhere else to finish the work. when i went to pick up my car, on top of the $89, they charged me for an oil change (even though i never request it) and inspection (even though they couldn't inspect the car with a check engine light blinking)!!!!?!??!? i told them i wasn"t paying for an inspection they didn"t do, and although they beat me on an unneeded oil change, their never gonna get another cent from me, and i hope they dont get a chance to screw you over. enjoy the 40$ rorich mazda, you could of but won't be getting any more money from me, and hopefully any sane person reading this! read more

It's a real crime that such a famous South Hills name-has such a crappy reputation. What a group of severely miserable folks.The sales guys are great though, and we did get an excellent deal. Our 2015 CX-5 had 6 month check up at this service station and they recommended to replace the gasket under warranty. Since they replaced it, the car started leaking the oil. We brought back the car to fix the problem several times, but they did not do anything saying that they could not find anything. It has only less than 8000 miles now and started leaking again. So we brought it back with evidence of collected leaked oil. Now the service manager admitted that the leak is happening at the different gasket and they replaced the wrong gasket before. We have all right to be upset and asked the rent car while they order the part and replace it. The service manager insisted that the leak is minor and ok to drive to home and bring it back. We did not want to come back and forth any more so we insisted to have a rent a car, and then the service manager refused to talk to us leaving the word "UNBELEIVABLE" to us. I could not believe what he said to us, his customer. You need to be careful when they recommend to fix something under warranty. You may end up to have a problem or broken part that you did not have before. read more
