They prorate the tires if you get a road hazard and need a replacement tire, whereas Discount Tire would replace the tire at no cost under their hazard coverage. They also told me that if one tire needed replaced, I would have to replace all the tires on the vehicle. Again, Discount Tire would simply replace the damaged tire if needed. I bought these tires less than a year ago and was told I needed new tires because they claimed there was a nail in one of them. I decided to handle it myself instead. After inspecting the tire, I never found a nail, and it turned out the issue was actually a broken TPMS sensor. The tire was not losing air at all, which really makes me question their diagnosis.

NTB-National Tire & Battery NTB Greentree Road has been the…read moreworste experience of my life. I went to NBT for a new battery two years ago, it was expensive ($411.00) but, had a five year warranty. After two years the battery went dead. When I went back to NTB they charge $99.00 to replace it under warranty. Well the nightmare began! Five to six of the mechanics kept looking at my car and kept asking me if several lights were light on my dashboard. When I asked them if there was a problem they said "no", we are just coding the battery to the car. I never heard of matching the battery with the car. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot before every light on the dashboard came on. I couldn't even make it up Cochran Road. The car lost all power. I had it towed to the Volkswagen dealer and $168.95 later it was the vacuum hose. They installed the battery on the vacuum hose. I went back to NTB and they told me to come back tomorrow because the manager was off. The next day the manager called off sick. I called the corporate office and again I got a runaround. I was told by corporate to see the manager so I went back to NBT and I was told the manager was off and would be in tomorrow. The next day I went back to NTB and was told the manager was on vacation and his replacement didn't show up. Back to corporate, they connected me with the regional manager, he assured me he would be at NTB on Greentree Road the next day. For the seventh time I went back to NBT on Greentree Road. I certainly wasn't surprised when he wasn't there. I had already made an appointment with my attorney. Again I called corporate and told them I was going to my attorney and I will be wanting my towing fees and transportation to and from the Volkswagen dealer if I had to file suit. Immediately the corporate manager called the store and asked to talk to me, he said he was at another store and would be at the Greentree location shortly. I told him I wasn't coming back, I was going to my attorney. Only after the ridiculous run around did he tell the clerk to take $168.95 off my charge card. And why wasn't this done from the beginning? They were trying to rip me off and not pay for their incompetence. If they are too incompetent to change a battery, I can't imagine why anyone would use such an overpriced, incompetent, business for any car repair. I know I will never use or recommend National Battery and Tire. Being a National chain they should close the Greentree store or restaff it from the regional manager/store manager down.

No problem, I reschedule with them for the next day on the phone. I show up the next day at the time I was told and they say they have no record of my appointment changing and can't take me now. That's already bad enough, but I was understanding that mistakes happen. I reschedule in person for the next day. I show up to my appointment the next day, and they say they can't do the wheel alignment today, I could leave it, and they could handle it on Monday (this is Saturday). I understand that things happen, but having to drive all the way to a location twice with an appointment to be told they can't help me is terrible service.

First thing this morning, they called to let me know that they took the tire off, flooded it to make sure there was no puncture, and then filled both it and the other tires to the appropriate pressure. EDIT: My coolant light had come on the other day so I popped the hood, checked the level and determined it could wait until I ordered off Amazon and put it in myself. But out of sight, out of mind, I kept forgetting to order any. When I left Monro after they'd checked my tires today, the light came on as it has been so I decided to call John back at Monro. I asked him if I could make an appointment to top off the coolant level and his response was "come on back Ryan, I can take care of that right away". When asked what I owed him, his response? "just another review on Google if you can". Google doesn't let you write more than one review for a business so I came over here to Yelp to post my review here.
