Another employee was walking in the service area. I waited for a few , no one acknowledged that I was there. I asked is this the service department, the gentleman said yes. I love my Honda but getting basic service should never be this hard! They have an online schedule that doesn't work. I booked an appointment last year, and when I arrived on the scheduled time it was a complete surprise to the service department, but they squeezed it in and I only had to wait 3 hours. This year, I chatted the app to verify the appointment and was told what I just scheduled was not available and I would have to wait two extra weeks! When I drove all the way over in heavy traffic I was told that they had moved my appointment to the next day. We had to drive home and do it again the next day. They agreed to take us at 7:30 and then again took over 3 hours for a basic inspection and oil change. If they were nice and helpful it wouldn't be so frustrating. Steven went above and beyond to make sure we waited the longest. This was apparently my punishment for showing frustration at being cancelled without notice the day before. I have owned 3 previous Hondas and thought Dean was difficult to deal with but in retrospect they are far easier and nicer. Our next Honda will not come from Rohrich no matter what the availability is at other dealers. read more

Checking on used cars available --- harrassed by salesman and financial rep to puchase warranty. When I said not interested that treated me like I was stupid. Warranty is added on finance calculation so interest is charged. Cancel within 30 days and no charge but the cost remains on finance total --- is not removed and monthly amount recalculated instead the number of payments due are reduced. What a scam. I leased a car in August and when I went in for an oil change after having it for 6 months, I got told my car was leased under someone else's name. She had been driving the car under my name and under my insurance and vice versa. So if i got pulled over or in an accident, I'd be in jail. So I'm pissed but this is my first car so I didn't do anything but let them deal with it. It has been 2 months in a week and all I've gotten is a loaner car. No updates, no compensation for all of the issues I've had with them. NOTHING. I have had to call every week to get updates! Do not get a car from here. read more

Their service department is bad news. Stay away from them. Every time I go there I say this is the last time I will go there but they are closer to me than other more reputable and professional Honda dealerships so I kept going to them when I don't have enough time to go to the far ones. A few times my car was in worse shape than when I brought it in. Not to mention the long time it takes them to perform simple maintenance procedures. One time they kept my car for two weeks despite calling them every day to ask about the status of my car. When I got my car back it turned into a gas guzzler which cost me over a thousand dollars to fix at another dealership. I also got it back with an almost broken arm rest. He is efficient, kind, and knowledgeable without being overly pushy. Marcus also navigated a tough position well - Honda was going through significant/painful delays that he had no control over. Rohrich must be paying people to post positive reviews, because it wasn't long ago that they barely had two stars. Anyway - the point of this review is to WARN other buyers of the scam this dealership runs. I leased a Honda CRV. When it came time to fill out the papers, I asked why we weren't using Honda to finance instead of US Bank, of which I've never heard of. My husband and I have been getting Honda's for over 10 years and every dealership, MINUS RORICH, used Honda. Well, the dealership and financing company are clearly in cahoots together because US Bank came out to "inspect" my vehicle before turning it in and managed to find hundreds of dollars' worth of "damage" I must now pay out of pocket for. They cited rock chips as being part of the damage. When you lease through Honda, Honda gives you $500 toward any damage, or a $1,000 if you get another Honda. Now we actually owe! AND, the price owed on the car after three years is the same as the sticker price! It didn't go down at all. The dealership we used in the past was out of CRV's which is why we ended up with these scammers to begin with. When we contacted our salesman from past purchases, he informed us that both our salesman from Rohrich, as well as their finance manager, had both been fired from his dealership. That was no surprise considering their behavior after water started leaking in the driver's side window one day after we got the car. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We will NEVER buy another HONDA again. EVER! I booked my car to have a safety recall service done over the phone with the service dept. When I attempted to drop my car off at the dealership they told me that there was no openings and they could not get me in even though I had a scheduled appointment. The person that was telling me this found it more important to blame the person I spoke to on the phone than to apologize or to try to figure out a solution to the problem. if it was just an oil change or windshield wiper I really wouldn't care but the fact that the paper I got in the mail states that metal shards can shoot out of my airbag and injure me makes me think that should be a priority! Also good luck trying to get a phone call back I have called 2-3 times leaving voicemails and have not received one phone call back. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I had a 9 a.m. appointment, dropped the car off at 8:45 for a simple oil change. No one called or contacted me after 3 plus hours. I called them and they just transferred me to a voicemail. I went back to the service center, and my car had not even been worked on!  When I complained, the technician then argued with me, talking about "leaving versus staying" appointments (none of which was communicated to me... none of which I heard about the other times I dropped my car off there). I wasn't expecting a Honda dealership to be this sketchy. You would think Honda, as a company, would care more about its reputation and customer service than this. I purchased a 2017 Honda Fit from Rohrich Honda a few months ago. I held off on writing this review to give them a chance to make it right, but we're at 5 strikes against them which is just unacceptable. I'll go into detail about it, but here are the bullet points: Strike 1: I was told the car had a crucial feature that it didn't have. Strike 2: None of the cars were "certified used" despite them charging the "certified used" listing price. Strike 3: They increased the price after we already made a deal and shook hands on it. Strike 4: When trying to "make it right" they tried to trick me into trading-in my car for a loss and buying a new car outright. Strike 5: They didn't submit my insurance information to the bank, which caused the bank to purchase a premium on my behalf which added $1.8k to my car loan. I was sold on getting the upgraded EX model based on a feature the salesman told me that it had. Turns out, the 2017 models do not support this feature. Without it, the car would not have been worth the price to me and I would have purchased a different car. Let's call that strike one. While in the price negotiation, I leveraged my trade-in and the fact that the car wasn't "certified used." They said they "didn't have time to certify any of their cars." This was a red flag because literally none of their used cars were "certified used." Meanwhile they were still being sold at the certified listing price. When we came to an agreement on the amount for the car, I communicated with them that this was my total-total, drive off the lot, taxes and fees included, bottom line price. We shook hands on that price. Then we moved to the paperwork phase where that price greatly went up. They told me this was for the "taxes and fees." They went back on their deal, and tried to make me feel like I was in the wrong. This puts them at 3 strikes. Since I didn't have my usb cord on me, I couldn't test the feature that the salesman said the car had during the test drive. The next day, I plugged in my phone to set it up and discovered it was not working. I let them know immediately. They had me take the car into the shop to see what the problem was. This is when they revealed that the feature wasn't compatible with Honda Fit's until 2018. Keep in mind, this feature was a main selling point for the car and justification for the price. They told me they would make it right. Eventually they offered to trade in the 2017 car with a newer car that actually had the correct features that I had paid for in the 2017. After asking questions about how that process would work, I found out they were planning to treat it as a trade-in where I would take a loss and then they would have me purchase the new car outright. I told them I would be happy to pay the difference in value between the two vehicles, but this deal would only be worth it to me if I wasn't taking a loss on the 2017 or having to re-pay any taxes or transfer fees because of their mistake. I considered my conditions a good deal on both sides, but it's been 2 weeks and they still haven't responded. The fifth strike is when I went online to make a payment on the car (I still have the 2017.) I noticed a $1.8k charge on my account. I call up the bank that I have the loan with and they told me the dealership never sent them my insurance information so they purchased an insurance premium for me. I gave the bank my insurance information, which should in theory take care of the $1.8k charge, but the stress the dealership had caused me on top of everything else is unacceptable. You would think Honda would want a better reputation than this. Their service was sketchy and I'm very dissatisfied with my overall experience. This is likely the last Honda I'll be purchasing. read more

Did not negotiate at all on a used car. After they told me that they had no issue in negotiating they referred me to another identical car on the lot that had some wiggle room for price. When we went to negotiate that one they only were interested in knocking off $300 and had no interest in discussing it more. Negotiation is part of the car buying process and the fact that they had no interest in negotiating a 2018 model car baffles me. I've purchased 3 vehicles from Honda Rohrich . The 3rd came shortly after the 2nd. While purchasing the 3rd car I pointed out to many Rohrich Honda employees and management that the leather seats of car purchase #2 had worn unusually fast. They assured me that it would be taken care of. As soon as the deal was done on car number 3 they started to give me the run around and have done nothing about the worn leather seats of car #2. I bought the Honda Accord because I fell in love with the red leather interior but now I just feel with how poorly they've worn that they actually bring the value of the car down. Unbelievable how bad customer service is toward a 3 time returning customer. I could never do business with Rohrich again nor could I feel comfortable recommending them to anyone. It could've been so very easy for them to keep me happy and do the right thing. So disappointing . I gave the car as a gift to my daughter and she loves it but bought car seat covers to mask the worn leather as she keeps her car immaculate and takes great pride in it. She also tried communicating with Rohrich Honda to no prevail. You better believe we will be taking our business else where in the future. read more

Repair shop: The most unprofessional, incompetent, and mismanaged business I have ever dealt with. The service provided was incomplete. I was misinformed about what was done. They were very rude during every visit. And it's impossible to reach them on the phone. I doubt they know how to even use a computer. My car was sitting there for two days, untouched, despite the fact that I had an appointment with them. They didn't even bother to call me. After finally having paid and pickup, I was called to pay a supposed storage fee that had been waived during pickup. Upon providing my honest feedback in the feedback form they refused service for something they were already asked to complete initially, proving me right. I have been to several Honda dealerships/repair shops across the country. This is by far the worst place I have ever dealt with. read more

I have already my car checked and washed once as it was included with whole package. It was fast, convenient (wait room with beverages, tb and Wifi) and even better: for free (only if you have purchased your car in there). I scheduled at 7:30am appointment thinking I could be in and out quickly, 4 hours later I'm still waiting in the lobby only to find out my car hadn't been looked at yet. 4 hours for an INSPECTION of a car not even a year old?? The service department failed to diagnose and repair an electrical problem with our Honda Accord. After three weeks of having the car in the shop, and three wrong diagnoses (one of which cost us $672.00) a local mechanic found the problem in ten minutes. Communication was poor. Do not buy from here whatever you do. It's absolutely terrible. Honda North is a little further but MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better. When we got our 2017 Honda Civic (IN AUGUST 2021 MAY I ADD, SO LESS THAN 2 MONTHS FROM WHEN IM WRITING THIS) they said it was honda certified, and passed the 182 (or whatever it is) checkpoint list. Before I even got home as I was driving it off the lot part of the (something on the bottom) fell down and was scraping all along the ground. And so we go back to get it fixed and they give us a hard time about it. Whatever, it sucked but its all good now. right? NOPE, I hit a curb and go to get a new tire (my fault, not blaming them for this, but I might as well) but I go to baierl honda to get it all in order. And they check it and see that my car needs like 8 different things checked, including an oil change, which is like the most basic thing on a honda check list, but they couldn't even get that. And so we get on the phone with them and they all like "what?? we didn't tell you it passed the 182 point inspection???" LIKE WHAT?? YES YOU DID, WE ONLY BOUGHT IT CAUSE YOU SAID YOU DID. AND ALSO, they said that the person who signed it off as a Honda Certified car, was not Honda Certified himself... looks like ya got a court case coming at ya rohrich, but anyways, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. read more

Another crappy Rohrich dealership. I don't know what it is about Honda dealers in Pittsburgh. Is it that you think some people don't have the money or good/ excellent credit to make a purchase? Both of which I have by the way. I just don't know. The last Honda dealership I went to (Valley Honda) in Monroeville completely ignored us while we were on the lot on a nice day with hardly any other customers. This time I went to Shadyside Honda in the evening hours before they closed to look at a preowned Lexus SUV that they have had on their lot for months. Mind you I pulled up in a SUV that cost double the price of the one that they were selling so they should have known that I wasn't there to play any games. The salesmen inside watched me as I parked and got out. A couple even came out to move some vehicles to their storage lot down the street. Not one person asked if I needed any help. I walked the lot until I found the SUV I had came to see. It was in the last row in the back of the lot. It was very nice and look spotless. So I walked inside the dealership and right by the hostess who couldn't be bothered. I made eye contact with at least three salesman who said absolutely nothing to me. I looked at about six cars waiting for someone to finally acknowledge my presence but, that never happened. About ten minutes later I finally just ask a salesmen about the vehicle I was interested in and he says, "Oh, that's sold. The buyer is picking it up on Saturday." I can't believe the buyer actually got enough service to buy the SUV. So as I go to leave a salesmen finally asked me if I had been helped and if I needed something. I told him no and no thanks and walked out. It's funny that all of the sudden salesmen want to help me when I go to leave. This is the second Honda dealership I will never set foot on any. Scratch that I will never set foot on any Honda dealership again! I don't care what vehicle they are selling! read more

This is one of those 'I wish there was a 0 star rating' reviews. Yup. I was having car trouble with my '07 Honda Fit back in July and I called to see if I could have it towed there by AAA so they could have a look at it and hopefully fix it. I called and the rude woman so many other people have mentioned answered the phone. She quickly transferred me to the service department, where the phone rang, and rang, and rang, and rang, and rang. And then I was hung up on after 10 minutes or so. So I called back and explained that I was just trying to reach the service department and I was hung up on, and this woman exploded at me that IT WASN'T HER FAULT AND SHE CAN'T CONTROL THE PHONE. Seriously? I don't know how anyone ever gets an appointment here for service. We did once and I have no idea how we managed it. The customer service is horrendous, the grump that answers the phone needs to calm down, and I'm never coming back here again. Not that they would ever answer the phone to allow me to do so, but I can certainly find better. The car wash with oil change is so not worth the frustration. And to the reviewer who lamented that maybe people are holding this Honda dealer to BMW standards, to that I say, shut up! Being rude, hanging up on customers and making it virtually impossible to get service for your car are definitely not high standards.
