If you are looking for an auto repair shop that is honest, fair priced and will also be there for you in a pinch, drive on over to Sheaffer & Lewis Auto Repair in Pleasant Hills. They came as a recommendation from a good friend as I was gripping about another BIG service bill from my previous auto shop. I didn't really want to break up with them, but I was feeling it had become a one-sided relationship and they only wanted me for my wallet. My first experience with Sheaffer & Lewis Auto Repair was when my son's SUV had a nail in the tire. It was no trouble. I was in and out for less than 2 Jackson dollar bills. A few weeks later it happened to MY car, a nail in the tire, and again the service was fast and fair priced. -- Although I did start to wonder what we had done to make someone in our neighborhood angry. The next time we needed a standard service, my husband took his truck in for an inspection and emissions testing. I was honestly shocked when he returned home with the bill. I asked him when his truck needed to go back for the rest of the job to be finished. He laughed and said, "Nope, that's it." Since then we have had my son's car in for breaks and just today, I picked up my SUV from its yearly inspection and emissions testing. All our experiences in the past six months have had the same outcome - smiles and satisfaction as we drove off into the sunset. I am happy to find a "new suitor" to take care of our family's automotive needs. With 5 automobiles in our driveway and another one likely on the way when our daughter turns 16 in May, you just can't beat having someone reliable to call when you need them. One word of advice, you need to make an appointment 5-7 days in advance for regular services as their dance card fills up fast but that's because they are that good.     Made an online appointment for 9am to get my oil changed and check my ac, which has been…read moreintermittently blowing warm air. When I arrived, the gentleman told me that they were running a bit behind but he would try to get my car in asap. At this point, I am desperate to get my ac fixed as it has been in the 90s and I've been baking in my vehicle for a week. Well, they don't take my car back until 10:30!! At 11:15 the man comes back and says my oil change is done but their ac machine broke so he didn't think they would be able to get that done for me today. I called another Meineke who said they could get me in a 1pm. Unfortunately, I had to go back to work so here I am with no ac and wasted my whole morning there. Had they honored my appointment time, I could have gotten in earlier with the other location when they found out that their machine was broken. I mentioned as much to the owner and he was polite and apologetic but could never offer an explanation as to why my appointment time wasn't honored. I can understand running 15-30 minutes behind, even 45, but an hour and a half! The other gentleman mentioned something about walk ins and people who made their appointment in person. Why are they pushing back my scheduled appointment for walk ins and in person appointments?? An appointment is an appointment, it shouldn't matter how it was scheduled. Won't be returning to this location. Completely unprofessional.

Bruce and his staff did all if these tasks very quickly and professionally. With all of the garages I've dealt with in the past, I would have to rate them as one of the top garages in the Pittsburgh area. I would have no problem recommending anybody to have their vehicle serviced there. Great staff, great work, more than fair prices!

    Very upset and dissatisfied with my experience with this dealership!!!…read more I purchased a certified pre-owned 2020 Toyota hatchback in February 2024, and aside from the salesperson--who was the only competent and professional person I dealt with--this dealership has been an absolute disaster. Everything after the sale was frustrating, deceptive, and left me feeling completely taken advantage of. I was initially given a clear and reasonable range of potential financing rates by the salesperson. That transparency disappeared the moment I sat down with the finance manager. The best rate he offered was worse than the worst-case scenario I had already been quoted, and I was told there was no room for negotiation. Only when I said I was prepared to walk away did he suddenly "find" a lower rate, while making a comment about how he "shouldn't be doing this." That kind of behavior is not only insulting, it's blatantly manipulative and dishonest. I left that interaction with zero trust and a very bad taste in my mouth. About a week after the purchase, I noticed a plastic piece missing from the side-view mirror. I provided proof that it was missing at the time of sale, yet the dealership refused to replace it and instead tried to charge me $37 to fix their own oversight. I ended up ordering the part myself and fixing it for under $20. This isn't about the money--it's about basic decency and accountability. Refusing to replace a cheap missing part on a so-called "certified" vehicle after someone spends tens of thousands of dollars is petty and unprofessional. The most alarming issue came during my first so-called "free" inspection in December 2024. At just 29,701 miles, I was told I needed new rear brakes and was charged $800--an outrageous and unjustifiable price for rear brakes on a Corolla, especially at that mileage and with the front brakes still untouched. A year later, I took my car to a trusted family mechanic because I will never return to this dealership again, and he is convinced the rear brakes were never replaced at all. They appear to still be the original factory brakes. This dealership has shown a consistent pattern of dishonesty and lack of transparency. I genuinely feel taken advantage of and have no reason to trust anything this dealership says or does. I would strongly warn others to avoid buying a vehicle or servicing one here. My boyfriend is currently shopping for a Toyota and will absolutely be steering clear of Ken Ganley Toyota. This has easily been the worst customer experience I've had anywhere.

Test drive was great pointing out benefits and comparing manufacturers. It was awesome! I ended up purchasing a car from Rich and it was the smoothest transaction. Quick, efficient and out the door with a detailed ride. Definitely visit Rich for a no haggle, no stress, easy-going purchase!
