It really surprises me to see these negative reviews (but I guess they're mostly pretty old). I came here in March of 2026 with brake problems. I was 350 miles from home and very busy trying to move a family member to a new house. My experience here was fantastic. They were open on a Sunday, they got me in with a same-day appointment, they solved my problem in under an hour, and they fixed my brakes for less than $30!!!! The young lady running the counter was very polite and knowledgeable. My son now lives right around the corner, and I know where to send him for car services! 1/22/2020 Came in for an inspection & oil change. Made the appointment for 9am, got there at 8:30, they had my truck pulled in and on the lift by 8:45. I was hoping that my 10 year old truck (2008) wouldn't need anything major but I was wrong. Bob told me what was wrong, what it would cost, told me what he would do if it was his truck, and gave me time to think about it. In total, my trip to GoodYear cost almost $1,100 but I can't blame GoodYear and I try to rate them accordingly. read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience at the West Mifflin Goodyear store. The Goodyear website wasn't the most user friendly, so we ended up ordering tires without white lettering, which isn't what we wanted. The rep at the store, Pat, couldn't tell if the ones I ordered had white lettering, but he ordered the correct tires so they would have them for my install the next day and instructed me to call Goodyear to correct my online order. I anticipated a much more difficult experience, but I called and the customer service rep from online was very helpful, and ended up actually saving me more money (on more expensive tires)! Overall, Pat from the West Mifflin store and the online customer rep that helped me went above and beyond to help us get the right tires. read more

I had 2 appointments for 2 cars a few months back. 2 days prior to appointment I called to verify both appointments for inspection and emissions. I took my sports car first since it has only 4,200 miles on a 2016 vehicle, I figured it would be a piece of cake without any issues. I show up at 8 am and was told by the manager that I would have to leave to car since they were busy, I think his name was Bob. He said we might get to it later on late afternoon or next day. I expalined to him that I made the appointment 2 weeks ago and verifed 2 days ago about the appointments. He would not budge on time frame or anything and I'm not going to leave a expensive car car there for a fear of scratches or dings so I cancelled and I will not ever return. Thet already lost 2 of my friends since they were customers there too... It was a waste of time so I say... go elsewhere... read more

We were headed on a little road trip but needed an oil change asap. Initially we were gonna head to a first come, first serve place but they were all backed up for at least an hour. We drove by Goodyear and it didn't seem as busy. They took immediately and we were on the road again in 30 minutes. Shop has a little indoor seating area with coffee water and a t.v. This place needs to be investigated. Not only did they lie to me repeatedly and refused to show me any supporting evidence, but they also wanted to charge me for things that I didn't even bring my vehicle to them to check into. First, this was a visit for my annual vehicle inspection, as per PA regulations. They told me as soon as the looked at it through the window, "are you sure you want THAT van inspected? I mean we can, if you really want to..." Dude. Seriously, awkward and extremely rude customer service. Second, when they gave me the report about two hours later, (promised me thirty minutes) they told me, "We cannot pass your vehicle because it is unsafe to drive. We don't even expect you to make it home. It's dangerous. You need to get rid of it now." Now, if I knew that to be true, I wouldn't have even brought it to them, but I'm not an ignoramus in these matters. I'll do most of my own vehicle work at home. I only got into service stations if I have to. They references an 8th inch patch of surface rust on the outside of a wheel well. The vehicle doen't have a spot of rust anywhere but there. The arrogance was astounding. Third, they told me that they could'nt make any repairs it would need at this shop, but could outsource it for me. So they tell me it needs to be junked, but then still quote me a repair cost of thousands! Pros: free okay-ish coffee Cons: lies, arrogant excuse for customer service, lack of general regulation knowledge, failed attempts to trick me into buying crap I don't need. Initially scheduled an appointment online for a 30 minute state inspection in West Mifflin. When I arrived I was told I had to leave the car all day because his schedule isn't tied into online. I rescheduled for the coming Saturday so that I could wait 60 minutes for it. However, when I showed up I was told I had to leave the car ALL DAY AGAIN. Avoid the aggravation and stay away from these clowns in West Mifflin. read more

I'm am SO dissatisfied with this auto service center. The first time I was there for an oil change and free 29 point inspection, they didn't even explain or point out the issues that they found in said inspection. They just slid the inspection review form towards me when I was paying, and then took it back immediately after I paid without explanation! If my roommate wasn't there to snap a picture of it, I would have never known about the potential issues my car had. A few months later, I was looking under the hood of my car, and I noticed that my engine air intake pipe was just dangling. I reattached it and tried to pull it off to see if it had just wriggled free on it's own, and I found that there is no way that it could have just came off. That means that whoever did the 29 point inspection just left my pipe hanging there; one large bump and it would have been left in the dust! The second time, I had made an appointment online for an oil change for 5pm. I got there at about 5 minutes past 5pm due to extremely heavy traffic conditions, and the general manager of the store told me that it was too late and had already taken other cars (which was hard to believe given the near empty lot and empty store). He said he'd have to take me the next day, even though they closed at 8pm that day (3 hours to get it done!), but my guess is that he just wanted to get out early. Not to mention that they are absolutely rude and have terrible customer service... I will NOT be returning to this Good Year again. If I could give no stars, I would. read more

I looked in there "scrap tire pile" and they were tires I would run for at least another year and stupid enough they didn't allow me to take any of them even when I offered to sign a paper saying that they are as is and I take responsibility of whatever happens if I would get them mounted there prices are ridiculous as well 700 dollars for a set of tires when I can get a set of the exact same for more than half the price don't go here read more

Called up for state vehicle inspection. Bob, the man that answered, told me to come on down for the inspection. I got there, and he immediately started yelling at me in front of customers when it was clear that I didn't have the registration paperwork. I just moved here from out of state and didn't know. I went home and got the paperwork and brought it back. When Bob saw me again in the store, he started telling his customer about how dumb some people are expecting a vehicle inspection without paperwork. I reminded him that I had called him up in the phone and he didn't mention it. Bon denied that I called up. For some reason this made him extremely mad. I asked if there was another Bob, and he said there wasn't. He then called me dumb again. At this point I had enough. I told Bob that if there ability to work on vehicles was as bad as the customer service, I wasn't interested in being a customer. Bob attempted to move my registration paperwork behind the counter so I couldn't grab it back, but I told him that I was going to turn on my phone's recording ability and ask for it back on video. At that, Bob gave me my registration paperwork and told me to get the hell out of the store and never come back. Don't worry Bob, you don't have to tell me twice. read more

Got my breaks done here and they failed to tighten down the lug nuts which cause the tire to fall of while the vehicle was in operations doing over $2000 in damage to my van. Do your self a favor and go to ANYONE else. read more

Great place to go to for your car especially if you're not completely car competent. Chris one of the mechanics explained everything to me that I needed to know concerning the issues I was having with my car. Once I called they took care of me right away and did a great job. Definitely would go back here if I had any other problems. read more

Took my Volkswagen here and the service was exceptional. The auto mechanic that worked on my vehicle was very knowledgeable. I got an oil change and he went above my expectations and tightened my oil pan bolts and checked my fluids free of charge. read more

Were do i even start with review. I have had a lot of work done at this pepe boys. And everytime i do. My car runs fine for a week than the check engine light comes on. So i go back for them to want to take me for more money. I have a warranty and i never just pay what my deductible is. And when i ask why i get told is this how much it costs. Nation wide which is bs. I have went to other shop and they are much cheaper. Now if you want fast haha your coming to the wrong place. And they don't like you to sit around. I have called corporate on them many times. Yes they try and make up the wrongs. But to many of them. The guys in the back working on your car. Sit around i know i have seen it. While there is all kinds of work. I am all for breaks but come on. Should not take over 2 hours for tires. And people google everything or talk to a mechanic to make sure they are doing the right work. And if you go to them and your a woman i hate to say this but it's the truth. Know your stuff or you just hand them your credit or atm card. read more

I had never been to Goodyear, but recently moved to the south hills and needed my SUV inspected. I knew that it definitely needed 2 new tires, that should've been it. I am so glad that my father met me there. The guy at the counter tried to tell me that they HAD TO replace all 4 tires. They couldn't only replace 2. Two of my tires were less than 3 months old. When my dad spoke up(he has been in the car business for 40 years), the guy changed his story and told him that if the other two tires were Goodyear brand, he could leave them on. Luckily they were, but how are you going to say they need replaced if they aren't Goodyear brand. I was quoted close to $370 for two tires and inspection. We had dropped my vehicle off the night before it was to be serviced. I got done with work at 6pm and they still were not done with my car. They called me at work to tell me that one of the headlights was loose, and they couldn't replace it. They said I would have to take it to the dealership & it would cost $1000 to replace. It had been loose since an accident 3 years ago, and always passed inspection anywhere else I took it. I was so mad. Then the guy tells me that they can try to "rig it" by glueing the headlight in. I agreed to that, but he didn't mention the price. I ended up paying $480, over $100 more than what was quoted! I asked why there was such a difference in price. He told me that they decided to charge me $50 for the super glue they used to glue in my headlight! They also had to change a lightbulb, so that cost $50 too? I will not take my vehicle back there. I also asked them to check on an issue I had been having with my vehicle bucking at times going up a hill. I was told that the guy that was there when I dropped my car off was not there today, and he had no idea what they found or if they even checked it. Take your vehicle to a local auto body and save yourself a lot of money and the aggravation of dealing with these crooks. read more

My car went in for an inspection and ended up with a bill of almost $300 for a new battery. A teenage girl that works hard for money from a fast food service. Labor was $88 dollars for the whole bill. Poor service and un trustworthy. My last visit. read more

Stay Away from this place! I was grossly overcharged over $940 for a brake job. That was just the front brakes! I had other estimates done after I left there for hundreds less. These people will take advantage of you if you are in a vulnerable situation. read more
