I am very disappointed with the unprofessional behavior I experienced at Firestone (3775 William Penn Hwy, Monroeville). I had an appointment on Monday, Dec. 8 at 11 AM for a wheel alignment. I checked in and was told to wait a few minutes, but I ended up waiting until 12:45 PM. After waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, I politely told the agent I could only wait 15 more minutes because of another commitment. He suddenly shouted at me aggressively, saying "Go, go right now!" along with other inappropriate words. He brought my key, told me to leave immediately, and said never to come back. I had not said anything disrespectful and had waited patiently despite the long delay. This behavior made me feel unsafe and very disappointed. I had recommended Firestone to several people, but after this incident, I can no longer do so. I hope this serious issue is investigated and addressed. read more

This is a surprise find. I got my new Chevy Equinox in 2019. 12,000 miles later my tires were bald. Gone. Shot. I called Bridgestone, Chevy, dealership, corporate GM and just got run in circles over and over!! Well I did some digging and found a phone number and made a call. Got the nicest person at Bridgestone and she issued me a case number. Acknowledged they aren't responsible but wanted to help me out! I was shocked I finally found some help. I had to bring it to one of their Firestone Complete Auto Care Centers to have them gather info and send it to Bridgestone Corporate. I'll be honest I discarded Firestone anything after the Ford and Firestone unsafe garbage tire scandal. Plus my trust in corporate garages is very low. I called ahead of going up and talked to Walt. He told me I could stop up anytime they were open. I stopped up and he was there, told him who I was and why I was there. He came out checked/verified tire wear and mileage. Got the vin and went in and put it all in the computer. About a week went by and he called. Let me know corporate approved the tires being prorated at I think it was 70% or something close. I scheduled a time to get tires put on they had to order the tires I had. I made sure it wasn't the same and it was same model name but different part number and had a 70,000 mile limited warranty. I came in and got them put on. He suggested the lifetime alignment which since I was getting tires was like $30 or $60 off and my rotations were free. Every 5000 miles I would bring the equinox in and they would rotate the tires and check alignment and align it is necessary. I agreed. Then he told me about the Firestone card which was offering 6 months 0% so I jumped on that as well. I had to come back to do the first alignment which I did the next week. I have come every time at each 5000 miles and they have rotated and checked the alignment. They are always pleasant and helpful. Walt is very nice and extremely knowledgeable and Joe I have talked with about life and everything else for hours over all the time I've been here. I highly recommend them for your tire and oil change needs. I haven't done more with them in the full auto repair but they do it all. They always have coupons and specials going on which is always a helpful thing. I've found their pricing overall is decent and maybe a little high but if you consider it being a corporate owned store I would say it is low in pricing compared to dealer and other corporate stores. They also beat inspection and emission costs by smile compared to the dealer, small biz shops, and other large corporate stores. Come give them a try! read more

Lazy and substandard workmanship. it's an old vehicle and they basically didn't want to work on it. the mechanic put weights on the outside of alum wheels, didn't clean off the glue they used to seal bead. told us we needed a complete new front end with shocks over the phone, I knew it didn't need a new front end because a mechanic friend with over forty years experience as a certified mechanic checked the entire front end prior to bringing it in for tires and alignment.then when I arrived they said the front end was tight, but the bolts were rusted and they couldn't get them loose. when our 2021 Blazer needs tires this winter, they won't be from Firestone in Monroeville, or any Firestone. read more

In March 2011 Firestone replaced the original muffler on my 1996 Camry. In Feb 2015 Firestone again replaced the muffler. In March 2018 Firestone again replaced the muffler. I understand that some after-market parts probably will not last as long as an OEM part. However, the last two muffler replacements done by Firestone lasted only a total of 7 years and 39K miles. The most recent one lasted only 3 years and 15K miles. The original muffler lasted 15 years and 162K miles. This, to me, is unacceptable. It points to Firestone using low-quality parts but charging high-quality prices. How do I know this? My local Firestone shops in Monroeville, PA get their parts from Advance Auto. The muffler just installed, which I was charged $372 for, is available from Advance for $132 (after a 30% discount which I was offered online). If I can get it for this price I know Firestone is paying even less. So, we're talking about a mark-up of between 300-400%! For about $60 more than what Firestone charged I could have taken it to Toyota and had a muffler which probably would have outlived the car. I understand the concept of mark-up on parts and I accept it. However, in this case, I believe Firestone went too far. I contacted Firestone numerous times between 3/4/18 and 4/6/18. On or about 3/21, I was finally contacted by phone by a regional manager but ended up in a game of phone tag over the course of a few days so I asked that he email me, which he did. I've been using this location for many years. They have good service and I've always felt that they were fair and honest. Sometimes I've found lower prices at other shops so I don't use their service for everything. The location is not as convenient as the Firestone near the mall, but that location has tried to sell me things I didn't need in the past, so I prefer this location. The management is always clear what they are going to do and how much it will cost. The service staff has always done an excellent job with the repairs. read more

I scheduled an appointment on to have the alignment done on my car at 6 pm on a Wednesday. This location called me to say that for my type of car they needed a little bit more time, and so I agreed to come in at 5:15. The email reminder they sent me said 5 anyway, and I was able to show up at that time. I got there, was greeted, and told it would take about an hour. My car was not touched at all until 6 pm, and it took about a 45 minutes to do the alignment. I could understand if I had been a walk in, but I had an appointment, and then even came in earlier for them because they said they needed additional time except they didn't start my car until my original appointment anyway. No one said a word to me the entire time about where my car was at. It's annoying to have my time wasted when they asked me to come in earlier. They gave me a nice printout of the alignment, and the car did seemed improved from when I brought it in so at least they did that part well. read more

I showed with out an appointment and a tire going flat. The shop was super busy and Dave told me he could do the work if I could drop it off. I could not drop it. He went above and beyond to accommodate me and get my vehicle in the shop. He QUICKLY called my fleet company and obtained approval for tires and an alignment. Great job Dave and Firestone! Was traveling on the PA turnpike and had the check engine light come on! As a repeat costumer to the Bridgestone/ Firestone business in our home town, we were delighted to have the same friendly service and upfront cost analysis while out of town. Very friendly customer service! Let me tell you, we are 2 women traveling and at best have a rudimentary knowledge of car service and for some it can be an intimidating to go to a new shop and get a service engine light checked because of fear of being ripped off!! NOT THE CASE!! Excellent service! If I lived in the area I would go again! Just moved to the Pittsburgh from out of state and needed to get my two cars inspected and emission test for vehicle registration. I figured I would also need new tires on one vehicle. Walt and Joe at the front desk were both fantastic to deal with. The shop appeared very organized and the crew very polite. They were very thorough in explaining their inspection findings and the entire inspection process in Pennsylvania. I was a good customer of yours, although I will NEVER go back to the Monroeville store. You would be ashamed to know how they have treated your customer. Alignment of 4wd caused front tire damage resulting in all 4 tires needing replaced. I purchased Firestone's lifetime alignment and had an alignment done on my in June 2017 after having purchased new Mastercraft tires. 1Yr later at inspection my mechanic says I need 2 new front tires. 13,000 miles and the cords on the inside of both front tires are showing. Location: Monroeville, PA 15146. The service manager, Joe and the Area Manager Chad are only willing to offer 25% off 2 or 4 tires. This is unsatisfactory. With 4wd I need 4 matching tires. The alignment was faulty causing the front tire damage. I would like to be refunded the price I paid for the tires. Both these employees talked over me and were argumentative. Both Joe and Chad repeatedly insist that I should have every 6 months alignment. read more
