The black cod was impeccable. I highly recommend. I didn't take any pictures but the fries were my husband's favorite. The fish sticks were interesting part of the menu so I had to order and it didn't disappoint. Love the staff as they were quick and attentive. My new go to place in Bellingham.

Very nice experience overall; this is a great option for dining with a multi-generational family (kids will enjoy the burger, fries, and many of the small plates/veg options; adults will be happy with the playful entrees/beverage program). The decor is charming - "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" presides over a bookcase nook; such a sweet touch. My only minor nit: the seasoning leaned a bit salty on the pastrami croquettes, the crab Hashbrown, and the baby broccoli (the bagna cauda was yum, but brine-yyy). Other dishes were better balanced - here's looking at you, salmon montadito; savory-sweet heaven in a pillowy bite right there. Lucky Bellingham - don't sleep on this neighborhood gem.

Oh my! What to say? Outrageously wonderful! Sam was our host and Mads, our server. We got great help from them. All the descriptions and suggestions were spot on, and they were entirely accommodating. But could not have truly prepared us for the gustatory splendor. We ate: A Dungeness crab concoction that was one of the most divine things I have ever put in my mouth. Focaccia and serrano ham in an Alfredo sauce. A pear salad. Baked or fluffy air-fried parsnip chunks drizzled with honey and savory goodies. Beet salad. Now I have to own that I hate beets. I think they taste like dirt. The salad included cheese, walnuts and other good things. My first bite was delicious--smokey and cheesey. I told my comrades-in-food that the cheese was out of this world! They almost fell on the floor laughing. "You just ate a beet!" They cried. OMG, I would order and eat this whole thing all by myself. Drinks were all lovely and included Imperfect Man (rye), Francisco Sour (fabulous and matched my clothes) and a concoction the barkeep made up that was chocolatey and raspberry. All were delicious. Two delectable desserts (I don't even know what they were, but I'd eat anything here!), and heaven became even more heavenly. The ambiance was very nice--simple and lovely in its simplicity. All the staff were so nice. I can't wait to come back.

Have been three times and each time it has been a wonderful experience. The wait staff is kind and attentive. The ambiance is modern and minimal, great for holding a conversation over a delicious meal. The food is outstanding. We've tried something different each time and are sometimes hesitant, not sure about the ingredients, but each time we've left saying "I've never had a better meal". I love that there's an updated menu with fresh local produce. Our last visit we had the halibut, Roe burger, baby broccoli, and pork skewers. The lack of pictures tells the story of how delicious everything was. I was able to capture the halibut because it was so photo worthy, but it was demolished within moments of taking this pic. So excited to see what's next with Roe. Grateful for unpretentious fine dining in Bellingham.

Food was innovative and complex. Cocktails were a fusion of different flavors. The shrimp cocktail was amazingly complex shrimp flavor cooked in complex boil with a Sause with depth and Indian spice leaving you wanting more. The chicken nuggets caviar was innovative but the caviar didn't shine. The halibut was well cooked with a variety of flavors, textures and temps. The dessert cake was absolutely amazing. Light and creamy, sweet yet sour. Cocktails were equally good and complex. Excellent service all around. Definitely would go again.

Beautiful presentation but please go easy on the salt!

Better than the last time I visited but I only had appetizers due to my hesitation. Waitress took my glass of wine that had at least two more sips (nit cool) I mean ask please! Food was OK, salty and no wow factor.

Went to Marimans in Hawaii (hoidy toidy nice restaurant with $1000 wine bottles) and me and my partner both agreed our meal at Roe was better. The black cod dish we had at Roe (tomato broth, claims, bacon) blew me away, I think about it often. Everything is prepared so intentionally, yet I feel so comfortable being here, like your having a dinner party at a friends house that's a mad cook. So special If you're thinking of eating here, do it.

We thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes at Roe, we see why it's popular. Only counter reservations were available at our last minute search, but that gave us the working kitchen view and we enjoyed that.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It's our absolute favorite place to get dinner in Bellingham! Their vibe is really cute and hip, but still very authentic and down to earth. The people that work there are really friendly. The food is out of this world. I love the way they put an upscale spin on comfort food classics. I love trying their new seafood dishes that change seasonally, but highly recommend their classic burger too - so good. They just started doing brunch as well, and it's the best brunch in Bellingham. Highly recommend the spicy Bloody Mary!

The vibe in the restaurant was nice. Felt like we were teleported away for a few hours. Everyone was chatting away eating. It was an open space, but not hard to have a conversation. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. She made great recommendations on wine and food. We ended up taking advantage of their special shared tapas menu for two at $59.50 CAD. I ordered some wine by the glass to go with some of the dishes. We didn't have any preference in the order, so our waitress brought things out as we finished. The spread included bacon wrapped stuffed dates, chorizo puffs, salad, veggies, croquettas, patatas bravas, prawns, beef short ribs, and a chocolate mousse-like dessert. Everything was so tasty! It starts off so well with the bacon wrapped stuff dates and you think there will be a dip in taste at some point. I believe the only dish we didn't finish were the veggies, done ratatouille style, we were pretty full so we chose not to finish this one and make sure we could eat dessert. She did figure out I was american when I tried to give her my credit card. I always forget they bring those credit card devices to your table outside the US. I would definitely go back to try some of the other menu options.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a young boy, attending special family dinners or just going to get pizza after soccer practice. Now well into adulthood I still find myself coming here with my wife for an excellent dining experience, any time or day of the week. This week we decided to go in for brunch, and I couldn't think of a better place to spend a dreary Washington morning. When you walk into this cozy little restaurant the smells of fresh breads and fried potatoes invite you into an elevated breakfast experience. Our hostess sat us down at a table almost immediately with the same friendly smile and welcoming attitude that I have come to expect from the staff at the fork. After sitting down and sipping of fresh squeezed orange juice we ordered two of our favorite breakfast plates. Chicken Fried Steak, and Corned Beef Hash. The Corned Beef Hash consisted two poached eggs sitting on a heaping pile of shredded corned beef that was both crispy and tender. Typically this dish is served with peppers and onions, but on this trip my wife opted out and the chef was happy to oblige our request. I can say from prior experiences that the peppers and onions are a fantastic addition to this mix. I went with the Chicken fried steak. A classic breakfast that requires a large appetite to face on your own! The cube steak was breaded and fried with the traditional seasonings, then covered in a house made gravy that was so rich and flavorful I couldn't put my fork down. I ordered mine with over medium eggs that were cooked perfectly, something that other kitchens can rarely get right. If you are a fan of Chicken Fried Steak then you must try this one! Both of our plates came with a large portion of golden brown home fries, and a fluffy biscuit served with honey butter and a peach preserve. Our server was extremely nice and very attentive. Although the restaurant was fairly busy she made sure our every need was taken care of :) I once again left the fork feeling full, and extremely satisfied. If the doors to this amazing restaurant are open, I will definitely be coming back again and again.

Affordable lunch burger and a beer? Yup. Fancy date night romantic dinner with craft cocktails? Heck yeah. Combining a casual, marine-themed ambiance with quaint La Conner vibes, and adding in some truly delish food and drink, there are few places in the area I'd rather eat. My favorite here is their bouillabaisse, with big pieces of fish, half a fresh Dungeness crab, sausage, and all the goodness cooked in their house-made broth. All I can say is: try it. Their raw oysters are also a favorite, but I can't say I've ever had a bad dish here. One time I swung out and tried their pork chop, which was truly sent from heaven. Their wine list contains several affordable options - on one visit our group enjoyed two bottles of an exquisite rose. And if gin is in your repertoire, don't miss the Empress Aviation which is not only pretty to look at, but quite tasty as well. Their happy hour features incredible drink and appy discounts, including half price bottles of wine. And I'd be remiss not to mention their friendly, lovely service. We always feel special when we visit. What's not to love about The Fork? I'm officially hungry now!
