One thing we always look forward to is their Christmas tree that's decorated year-round. It's such a fun, unique touch that makes the restaurant feel extra welcoming. Whether you're staying at the Best Western or one of the many nearby hotels, it's incredibly convenient and well worth a visit. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and consistently delicious meals make this a must-stop every time we're in Williams. We'll definitely keep coming back!

The shooting game was broken but charged us anyway (a manager had to refund us), and the ski-ball was entertaining, but with the amount of kids, and there only being one machine, it was a challenge. I wouldn't call this a sports bar either. There were some TVs but nothing big or to write home about. Come here for a chill time with adults to enjoy conversation and great beer. They have a fairly large merch section in the back, with tons of great shirts and items to take home.

It's a quick service type set up You order at the counter, and then they bring your food to you. We asked what the turnaround time was, and the gentleman said about a half an hour. As I mentioned, the entire town was busy, so we decided to stay for lunch. Everything on the menu sounded good, but We decided to split the hog pizza, With. Tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, italian sausage and salami. They use a woodfired oven, which makes for a much higher quality pie.... Our food came at almost exactly a half an hour. It was a very decent sized pizza. The crust was perfect, and it was also a good quality, tomato sauce, with just a little bit of a "tang" to it. They were generous with the cheese and the meats, and you could tell that they were using a very good quality meat. It was an excellent pizza. They had a couple of "Arizona gunslinger" hot sauces is on the table. I didn't care for the red sauce, but I loved the green sauce. It's a jalapeño based sauce, but the jalapeño didn't take over the rest of the sauce. It had a complex slightly sweet flavor, and not too much of a "kick". It said "smokin ' hot" on the bottle, but it wasn't all heat. The complex flavor played very well with the heat I liked it so much, I asked if they sold it in their gift shop, and they said no, but there was a shop a couple of doors down that carries it. I wish I would remember the name of the shop. It was your standard gift shop, but they had a huge selection of hot sauces available I got my bottle, and I'm glad I brought it home. I love this stuff. I hear that you can also buy it in grocery stores around Arizona. I stuck with a basic bean and cheese burrito but it tasted perfect to me. Like a lot of places now we had to pay extra for chips and salsa which I don't love. Fortunately these were good so it was worth it. My husband had the green chili pork and an el pastor taco and enjoyed both. He balances out my boring orders. We were very happy we found Nanys.

I can say anything good about this restaurant. My new bride and I stayed in Williams Arizona on our way to the Grand canyon. Was told buy friends to try Rods Statehouse... The waiter was quick to seat us..when he took our drink order my wife was served her ice tea quickly and I could see my beer sitting on the lift up from the bar below. The waiter took another tables order, before serving my beer. When we ordered our food that asked if we wanted soup or salad we both ordered salad. When it arrives thay both were ice cold... the dressing was so cold that it wouldn't move around the salad... one bite you could taste that the salad was old and had no taste. When our stakes were served we asked for A-1 and the waiter looked at us like we asked him to commit a major crime. As we cut into our stakes we found medium rare, when we asked for medium-well.. I asked my wife if she wanted to send them back... she said let it go before it gets worse.. we both ordered fries and got potato wedges... he refilled my wife's tea and I asked for another beer.. My wife's stake was full of fat.. The potatoe wedges were over cooked and hard as rocks. She told the waiter that she could not eat them he asked if we wanted fries or a baked potato.I explained that we ordered fires and got these wedges... witch I banged on the table!!!! He got her a baked potato that was so dry it took 5 butters before she could eat that... so when the bill came I was charged for the baked potato and my 2nd beer witch I did not ever get. over charged for meal that was so bad... $67.00 for 2 stakes stay away from this restaurant read more

We dined at Rod's Steak House on a Thursday night, about 40 minutes before closing, and honestly were a little worried we might catch the tired end of the evening service. Instead, we were greeted with one of the warmest welcomes we've had in a long time. The hostess (sorry we didn't catch your name) greeted us with a huge smile and immediately made us feel comfortable and genuinely welcome. Our waitress, Lorena, was equally wonderful -- attentive, friendly, and never once made us feel rushed despite it being close to closing time. She also shared some great stories about the restaurant's history, which added a lot of character to the experience. We were still pretty full from a late lunch, so we ordered a variety of salads -- a Cobb with chicken, Caesar with salmon, a steak salad, and a shrimp salad -- every one of them was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly heavy. We left comfortably full and very happy with our meal. They also had a really nice selection of restaurant souvenirs, and it was super convenient being able to pick out a few items and simply have them added to the check at the end. All in all, it made for a super pleasant evening in the gateway to the Grand Canyon. Great hospitality, relaxed atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. We are just passing thru Williams and stopped at Rods Steak House for dinner. We were seated by a delightful waitress, happy and fun. We ordered our meals, but before we ate the red headed "manager" came to our table and accused us of saying something derogatory about a young teenager at the next table. We hadn't even noticed her or said anything about anyone. That family left. We ate our dinner and as we left the restaurant, the red headed followed us out to let us know she would not let us eat there again. Really??? I would NEVER go anywhere near Williams again or that restaurant. I have daughters and granddaughters and would never say anything hurtful about any young girl. Just be careful going into this small town. Anyway, it was so noisy in there we could hardly hear each other talking and there would be no way she could have heard anything we said IF we had anything. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, the food was phenomenal, and every detail made the evening feel special. Our waitress, Steph Tanner, truly made the experience unforgettable. She was warm, attentive, professional, and had such a great personality. She anticipated everything we needed without ever being intrusive and made my husband feel celebrated the entire night. This was the fourth time we attempted to eat here as we waited for the grand reopening. Arriving from Clovis CA we were greatly surprised to find the steak house open for business. We enjoyed the K-4 Ribeye steak which is Rod's signature, grass fed 16 oz Steak. Both my wife and I agreed it was the best steak we can remember ever eating. Flavor, juice, tender, and cooked to order perfection, served by Leah whose attention to detail, courtesy, and thoughtful service provided the finishing touches to a perfect ambience and dining experience. With a bottle of Single Barrel Bulleit Bourbon to go, & my wife and I could not remember a more perfect evening. I was first here about 1960. My dad would stop here as he traveled Route 66 during the Korean War. This was his favorite stop. Over the years the place declined to the point several years ago I would not return. we took a chance last night and was happily surprised at the building and ambiance. Rod's has had a complete physical makeover. But the food-had it improved. Yep, my girlfriend said that the pork chops were the best she had ever had. Thick, tender. Baked pipatties cooked great. My daughter and I both ordered the filet mignon cooked medium. It came wrapped in bacon which I hate and it did not state that on the menu or I would have ordered a different cut of meat. I removed the bacon and cut off the edges and my meat was just falling apart and was completely brown throughout. Not medium at all. I don't think it was even a filet mignon cut of meat. It was lukewarm as was my baked potato. My husband ordered the trout and cod and they were both awful. The rolls were great as was the service but we will not be visiting this restaurant again. It was not a cheap restaurant and the quality of the food should have been better than sizzler. But Sizzler was better than this. read more

This was our second trip to Rods since they reopened. My birthday was our first trip in December. The food was amazing, I'm so glad they kept it like it used to be. Our server was Lorena, she did a great job. This trip we were lucky enough to have Lorena again. We brought a friend with us this time. The guys had Shrimp and Crablegs and I had the NY Strip. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Again the food was amazing! Lorena kept us full on our drinks, our food came out timed perfectly, bread, appetizers and the meal. I had an amazing dining experience at Rod's Steak House. The steaks were absolutely incredible--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and some of the best I've had in a long time. The appetizers were just as impressive, and the bread was fresh and delicious, making a great start to the meal. What really made the night stand out, though, was the service. We had excellent steak and bone marrow at this restaurant which was local beef. Maria was such a sweet waitress and guided us what to order on menu. She was very attentive to us and never let our water glasses go empty! She even guided us how to eat the bone marrow appetizer that came with bread and sauce! We visited this place and while it has a nice historic atmosphere, our overall experience was disappointing. The cocktails were not good and took a very long time to arrive. The shrimp pasta had an unexpectedly sour sauce, which didn't taste right. The bread rolls we were initially served were undercooked, and we had to point it out before getting a replacement. We arrived just before 5 pm and was seated promptly. The hostess was very friendly and told us about the drink menu. Our waitress, Leah, was wonderful! She was attentive and was knowledgeable about the cuts of meat. Our food was beyond anything I could have expected. We both ordered 16oz cuts of meat and we got 16 oz of meat, not a bunch of fat. My mother lives in Williams, I've been to several restaurants in town, this is one of the best. I had amazing Prime Rib. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. The only downfalls of the place are the restaurant is too dark inside especially for early afternoon when I was there. Also beware of the hallway to the restaurants in the basement area! I very much enjoyed that during the first leg of our journey home :) They offer a very sizable menu with both breakfast and lunch items. So many things sounded good, but I was incredibly happy with my choice of the Canyon Club. My sandwich was huge and stacked with quality meat. I chose fried pickles as my side and it was a mighty generous portion. My husband had the Patty Melt with a side of fries. He usually has no problem finishing his meal, but his sandwich and fry portion was also so big he struggled to finish. He was also happy with the portion size and flavor. The inside felt like a museum with how well maintained some of the historical elements were. Booths were very comfy, even for us plus sized folks, and there were two gender neutral restrooms on site. You can enter the cafe through the main front door or down the back alley off Route 66. We usually come to Williams once per year (sometimes twice); we'll definitely be making this our go-to lunch spot!

However, a group of four girls stopped by and the hostess immediately greeted them and told them it would be a 15 minute wait! My husband and I were annoyed. We just left and went to the other restaurant across the street. Maybe the food is good, but the service isn't.

Reasonable prices, limited wait time, great service and friendly staff make this a great place to check out. They also have a sushi bar which we didn't try but heard good things. I will say the bill is confusing with an added gratuity, tax etc. We actually waned to leave a bigger gratuity but was too difficult to figure out after a few cocktails.

I picked upstairs, but after getting up there, I probably would have preferred downstairs. The upstairs bar was closed, which made the space feel a little empty. Food-wise, everything was just... mid. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger with fries. The burger itself was fine, but there wasn't much flavor. The pulled pork on top was absolutely drenched in BBQ sauce that tasted like it came straight from a grocery store bottle, and it completely overpowered everything else. The fries arrived room temperature and bland. I ended up covering them in salt and dipping them in ketchup, which I rarely do. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. The mac and cheese didn't taste fresh, wasn't very hot, and was lacking flavor. The chicken was decent, and the bread on the side was okay, but nothing stood out. The one thing I really did enjoy was the theming. The restaurant fits the Bearizona atmosphere well, and I appreciated the rustic lodge feel. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. The ingredients felt low quality, and there wasn't any exceptional service to make up for it. If we visit Bearizona again, we'll probably eat in town before heading to the park. I'm glad we tried it once, but once was enough.

We weren't starving or in a rush so we were very patient and understanding and just glad they were open. The food wasn't anything to write home about but the staff was very nice even though they seemed overwhelmed. They did apologize for the wait. We had a lovely meal. The loaded fries were delicious. My albondigas soup was just what I wanted on a cold night!
