Super quick, super easy, super helpful, and reasonable prices. Emailed them on a Thursday, and we agreed they would show up on Wed. Had some sprinklers that needed replacement, a busted pipe and wanted to convert my old rainbird controller to one of these new wireless controller (Rachio). Juan showed up as promised at 9am, and had an assistant. Juan and I sorta did a walkthrough, and then the got to work, and they worked efficiently. And they did it right, and we set up the Rachio no problem. Paid them in a check made out to the Company and gave them a cash tip. Set an appointment 2 weeks ago for yesterday at 8:00 am. Moved work meetings to make sure I'd be here. They were a no show and no telephone call. I called them after 20 minutes and left a message with no call back. I am disappointed that I waited 2 weeks for them, I guess I should have called someone else. read more

Update: Juan dropped by the very next day after the review, turned on the water and checked all the nozzles. Now everything working fine again (and I can call backflow testing company again) so I'll pump the stars from 1 to 3. I think his work has good value (No issue for the past two seasons and his quote is competitive/reasonable). It's just it's not easy to reach him for maintenance, you'll have to set your expectation right. ------------------------------ I have been trying to contact Juan for weeks for my 2020 spring start up. Phone/text/email, nothing worked. My last contact with him was Nov 2019 for winterization (they installed our system back in 2018) but now since he is not responding, I can't use my sprinkler, no one knows how to turn on the water, I cant even do the required annual backflow testing since the backflow testing crew can't find where to turn on the water either. Used them 1.5 years ago for backflow testing. Great. But since then, it's radio silence. Have called for both irrigation services and backflow testing, and their voicemail box is ALWAYS FULL. E-mails go unanswered. We were wondering if they were still in business or not. We never get an e-mail back, and can never get through via phone. We've tried off and on for a year... mostly now just because we're curious as to what the heck is going on. read more

Fast, Professional, high quality work! On Wednesday, I turns on my irrigation system and discovered the winter had not been kind. I called Juan, and made an appointment for Sunday morning at 8AM. Juan arrived exactly on time, and we went through each irrigation zone on the sprinkler system. He fixed broken sprinkler heads, broken connectors, and generally made everything work perfectly. Extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend their service even for winterization blowout or backflow testing. They may damage the your irrigation system. They had no design and clearly no idea what they are doing. I provided them a design for the irrigation system and Juan shared a quote. I asked him questions and he kept on adding 250-300 dollars to the initial quote. I finally accepted his quote and asked to schedule an appointment. He gave me a date, but then stopped replying to my emails and stopped answering phone calls. Extremely unprofessional person. I could never recommend him as trying to get services from him is an absolute waste of time. read more

Rodriguez Irrigation & Backlow installed an irrigation system at our home in June 2020. They did an excellent job. Juan Rodriguez and his team were very professional, punctual, responsive, courteous and know their work very well. Juan stopped by to give the estimate the same day I called him. He & his team started work on the day he promised. They take the time to do the job well and don't try to cut corners. They are very professional. I was impressed by the care they took to clean up every day before leaving. On the first day they had to leave the backflow preventer box dug up for the city inspector to inspect. They put a visible yellow tape around the hole for safety. The next day they filled up a portion they had dug up and were working on even though they had to dig it back the next day. Juan came out to give a once over to the sprinkler system. I couldn't find the sprinkler water shut off/on valve. He was SO patient and after crawling in every crawl space and digging huge holes ( at my request) he found the pump from the lake that provides all the water for the sprinkler system. DUH! Juan was kind, patient and kept a really good sense of humor the entire time. Once we figured out the system was pump, he was quick to get the system going, do a thorough diagnostic and come up with a plan of attack....at a VERY reasonable price. On-time and helpful. They showed up on time for my winterization (setup early morning appointment is key if you don't want delays that sometime cannot be controlled by them). There was a problem in the sprinkler system, they spent time diagnosis the problem, instead of kicking the ball to me like it might happen to some other contractors "oh it's not our job to make it work, you need to figure out/fix it before we can come again". Juan extended my existing sprinkler system by adding the smaller drip irrigation to water some container plants and some parkway privacy trees that I just planted this summer.
