While landscaping companies play a crucial role in transforming outdoor spaces, my recent experience in April/May 2025 with GoGreen Landscaping for cleanup and yard restoration work fell short of expectations. Here are the key issues that surfaced during my project: Quality of Work - The cleanup and restoration work did not meet the promised standards. Despite assurances of thoroughness, some bed areas were left uncleared, with debris and weeds remaining. Additionally, items like edging and pruning that were included in the scope of services were not performed at all. Beyond the dethatching, the lawn restoration work yielded a lackluster result. Customer Communication - Written communications with GoGreen were very frustrating. After pointing out the issues that I had with the work performed, GoGreen accused me of overwatering the new seed, planning to never pay in full, and finally of having unrealistic expectations. The issue was exacerbated after I partially paid the invoice for the cleanup work while waiting for improvements in the new lawn. After receiving some angry, defensive responses, I informed GoGreen they were no longer welcome at my home. I attempted to settle the balance by offering to pay for materials and dethatching since I now need to fix the issues myself or hire another company. I then received another email threatening me with a lien on my property if I didn't pay in full. This response felt heavy-handed and added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience. Despite my obvious displeasure with the outcome, I paid the outstanding balance in full. Conclusion - I'm sure after reading this review, GoGreen will write a response blaming me for the outcome. Nothing GoGreen responds with will take away the fact that I wrote this review because GoGreen failed to deliver what was promised in the original scope of work. So, if you have unlimited financial resources and have extremely low expectations regarding the outcomes of your home projects, then GoGreen might be for you. Our experience working with GoGreen Landscaping was nothing short of phenomenal. For over a year, we had been planning on redo-ing our yard (front and back). After getting quotes from many other landscaping companies, we ended up going with Jesus for a few reasons. He was transparent and itemized with his pricing. He also was very friendly and easy to communicate with. When giving us quotes, he was able to recommend and price out different types of materials and options. The project included a large paver patio, multiple flagstone pathways, irrigation for garden beds (including raised beds), adding water spigots to a few locations and adding a gate to an existing fence. For years we have been talking about have a back fence replaced and concrete pads and a sidewalk poured by our garage. Mr. Ibarra (wiht GoGreen Landscaping) more than exceeded our expectations with the fence replacement and concrete pour. He also repaired a part of our fence between us and the neighbors. He and his men work diligently to make all of this happen. One area that was somewhat of a problem was our back gate. However, Mr. Ibarra is working to get that rectified. Would highly recommend using GoGreen and Mr. Ibarra and his crew. GoGreen Landscaping just completed a complete yard cleanup for our home. We have many trees (cottonwood) nearby and so there was a lot of debris. The shrubs were all very overgrown and beds needed weeding. Basically, I had really let the yard go this year! I can't say enough about what an amazing job they did! My yard looks beautiful! Not only did they do the basic stuff (debris/leave cleanup, edging, mowing, weeds), but they also trimmed/pruned all the shrubs and trees 6' and under. WOW! I'm so pleased with the cleanup project, I've scheduled them to come biweekly to keep it looking great. This company is in demand, especially this time of year, and so it took a few weeks to get scheduled and quoted and started with my project (it was a big cleanup job), but worth it! Jesus, the owner, communicates very clearly and quickly and so you know just when they will be able to do the work and what the cost will be, he is very responsive and treats his employees right. I was really impressed both by their professionalism and the quality of the work, especially since they were much more affordable than the other two services we received quotes from. Attaching a picture of the retaining wall, which doesn't quite do it justice. It's a low wall that goes up one side of the driveway. Jesus was able to advise us on a slightly more expensive block to use, and I'm glad I took his recommendation because it looks really nice and improves the curb appeal of our property. I have been using GoGreen for the past year to care for my rental property in Redmond. They come twice a week and take care of my 10,000ft property. I have not experienced communication issues (such as the other reviewer). When I first reached out to them, they responded within a day and had a quote within another day. I have found them to be very responsive, easy to communicate with (phone, text or email) and competitive pricing. I live in California, so communication is key for me. My tenants inform me the staff is friendly and the work is good (I just double checked today to ensure this review would be accurate). GoGreen just yesterday completed a clean up of a house we are preparing for sale. We were shocked at the positive difference they made to the property. We're gardeners and always kept it neat, but now it's really something special. Jesus and GoGreen trimmed back all bushes and our hedge, trimmed back ferns, drooping ornamental grasses, cleaned out flowering shrubs, brought in fresh mulch and we think it will truly enhance the home sale- likely as much as the internal staging we're doing. I moved to Washington from Los Angeles a year ago, and hired Jesus & crew to handle my (much larger!) yard. The yard had been rather neglected, and they came in and cleared out a ton of dead and overgrown plants. When my spouse saw all the work they'd done, he couldn't believe how reasonable the price was! Now they come by every 2 weeks to mow and tidy up. Any questions I've had have been handled immediately with an email. Go Green is very reasonably priced and always willing to give me a quote for any extra work I need done. Another landscaper I had gotten a quote from wanted a contract for weekly work with no exceptions; Jesus doesn't mind suspending services in the winter if I don't need them, and only charges per service call. I have worked with GoGreen at 5 or more communities,some for over 3 years. Having dealt with many landscaping companies from commercial conglomerates to the Summer college slackers, I would have to say GoGreen is a pleasure to work with. A few criteria for consideration: 1) Communication: communication is the primary factor in this business. The owner, Jesus, needs to please many homeowners in every visit when most landscapers ignore requests. Jesus is onsite for almost every visit, he brings issues to my attention quickly and give honest opinion. 2) Price: GoGreen is right on the mark. They are not the cheapest in town, but i have seen what cheap gets you, cheap looks like slop. 3) Level of Detail: The staff of GoGreen are far from average landscapers, they are experienced and detail oriented. 4) Performance: I arrive onsite and GoGreen staff are busy, really busy, no napping, they go strong. 5) Attendance: GoGreen arrives the day of appointment, on time and prepared. The only exception is due to rain or storm, but this is the Northwest, it happens. 6) Courtesy: They are also very polite, no smoking, no swearing, really nice guys. Overall Value: If value is based on benefit comparable to monetary cost, then simply put, GoGreen is worth their weight in Gold. My regular landscaper was out of town, and I needed someone soon to take care of my yard clean up work, and some repair work in the sidewalks. I called up GoGreen landscaping. Jesus (manager) came by my house, discussed the work, and gave me estimates in work item breakdown. I found him knowledgeable so I did not hesitate to go forward with the work. On the day of job, crews came in time, and finished the work very good. Cleanup and all pruning were done well. My yard has lawn sprinklers, and micro sprinklers in my flower garden. In summary, I would not hire GoGreen Landscaping to maintain a litter box. I experienced poor communication, a lack of basic professionalism and horrible customer service. I contacted GoGreen Landscaping Services, via e-mail, on May 31, 2011, after finding the company listing here on Yelp. I was interested in having yard cleanup work completed in addition to an on-going annual maintenance plan. I received a response the next day from the owner, Jesus, indicating his assistant, Kasia, would meet me later that evening to provide an estimate. Kasia arrived, conducted a visual survey of the area to be serviced, took some measurements, and said she would send e-mail with a detailed quote for the job and maintenance contract. The following morning, June 2, Kasia sent the quote via e-mail with a very basic description of the work and no itemization of the charges. As a result, it was impossible for me to confirm whether all the services we discussed in-person were included in the quoted price. Further, there was no indication of when the work would commence or how long it would take. I replied with a list of questions to close those open issues. It took Kasia a *week* to respond to my questions, which she did on June 9 via e-mail. I sent one more clarifying question regarding the plants, shrubs and trees on June 10. It took 3 days for Kasia to reply, again via e-mail, the morning of June 13. Despite the delays, I was ready to proceed because I had already turned away other landscapers. However, her response ended with the following terse message: "I spoke with Jesus and he decided not to take care of your property." Perplexed by the unexplained termination, I replied immediately seeking an explanation and informing them that I had already turned away other landscapers under the assumption that GoGreen would be starting the work we had discussed later this week as planned. Specifically, I wrote the following: "After the time I put into working with you on this quote, and the other bidders I turned away assuming we had a deal, you are not interested in caring for my property? Kasia, I will give you and Jesus the opportunity to help me understand *precisely* how you arrived at your conclusion before using the full extent of my connections to make sure everyone knows how you conduct business." Instead of an explanation, an apology for wasting my time, or any expression of remorse for the inconvenience of the work not getting done in time for an event I had scheduled at my home, Kasia responded today, June 14, with the following: "Your reply has reaffirmed our decision of not doing business with you. In light of your demands we don't see how we are going to be able to satisfy your expectation." I consider this response unprofessional, disrespectful, and highly inflammatory considering the only "demands" I made were actually seeking clarification about the services I was hiring GoGreen to perform. The professional thing would have been for GoGreen to prepare a proper quote initially and save us both valuable time and not cancel my job at the last minute. Since no one from GoGreen bothered to explain why they considered asking for the details of what was included too demanding I am left to assume the company either had no intention to deliver or decided to replace my job with something more valuable while leaving me in a lurch. read more

GoGreen has been doing my lawn and gardens for more than a year. They have been doing a great job. They always show up when expected and work until the job is done. I don't feel like my yard is just another chore to them. The only downside it that we have had trouble with the sprinkler system which has proven difficult to fix. Jesus was recommended to me through my mom who has been using him for close to a year and been extremely happy. I live in a condo and have a small backyard with a patio and lawn. I needed the lawn replaced and my patio power-washed so I could put my place on the market. Jesus met me at my place to look at it and within a week the job was done for exactly what he quoted me, which was well under what another landscaping company had quoted me for just replacing the lawn.
