Jesus added a new sprinkler zone and improved upon my veggie garden's drip system. I had a very specific way that I wanted the veggie garden and he did a fantastic job (even though my ideas can be a lot lol). He had to dig up some grass for the new sprinkler zone and did a great job putting it back and mending it afterwards. The zone he installed is way more efficient than my other zones. I wish they were all done by him. We will be hiring him again to install a French drain in our yard to help with the soggy grass in the winter. Highly recommended!! read more

Very awkward and disappointing. Was given an estimate for weed removal and spray and accepted. Was told they'd give me a call/schedule a time with me to come back and do it. 20 days later and with no call or text I come back from breakfast to a guy I've never met on the lawn. He says he can't contact his boss, who isn't answering. And he doesn't know what to do here. So asks what I need. I repeat the same service request I got an estimate for, and he says they can only do about half the lawn, as the spray would kill other trees I have. Also says that I will have to pull the other weeds out as they only spray. None of this was told to me previously before hiring them. So, I would be paying someone to do about 40% of the service I requested, who showed up without any communication, and whose boss is not answering? I cancelled and will be hiring a company that can do all of the work I requested with proper communication. read more

We have not used our sprinkler system for 2 years because of multiple issues. Was having a hard time getting hold of reliable companies. Called Saltos couple hours ago and they came the same day. Inspected the system and gave a bid. Fixed the irrigation valve wiring problem, replaced leaky sprinkler heads, replaced two broken large sprinkler pipes and also fixed the air vent cap on my garden hose. In two hours they were done. I used Saltos Landscaping a few years ago. Initially, it seemed like it would go well. Quick to answer, book an appointment and walkthrough what we're looking for. Given that it was a rental house, I wasn't able to witness it from the beginning to end. When I arrived after, the work was done poorly to satisfaction. It was $800+ for the bare minimum. When I called them back, they were quick to book a second appointment free of charge. However, their version of landscaping was to chop all plants, bushes and hedges straight across to the lowest height possible to make it look neat and clean. I appreciate their service, very "efficient" landscaping. But it doesn't have the aesthetic or beauty standard if that's what you're looking for. read more

Jesus and Luis completed a 9-zone sprinkler install for me in mid-June. The job covered 2700 sq ft of lawn and a handful of boxwood and garden beds. It was a bit of a tricky project, as he had to go under several 6 foot wide sidewalks to reach parking strips, as well as undulating rock walls. They completed the job in a week and the results were fantastic. Jesus has a very high-quality bar. He only works off your water main (many installers will 'cheat' and use your hose bib outlets). And he meticulously positions the sprinkler jets, maximizing the amount of lawn covered with minimal waste. He came back after I had sod installed to ensure it was working properly, and to make several tweaks, including adding a dedicated sprinkler head for a small section of sod i added. The sprinklers are activated via iphone app, which is easy to learn and schedule. Their pricing is competitive, and combined with speed and quality of the job, Saltos can't be beat. They provided a photoshopped layout of the changes we discussed so there were no surprises of the work they said they would do; it also helped me actually see what I was envisioning in my mind. Saltos Lanscaping installed a 4 zone sprinkler system for us and it's been a great value. The crew of 4 guys spent 2 days trenching, installing backflow prevention, 2 valve boxes, all the sprinkler heads (some rotating, others spray heads) and the Hunter Industries Wi-Fi enabled controller which makes scheduling the sprinklers very convenient. One of the highlights of many was that Gabriel shared a bunch of his decades of knowledge about commercial and residential lanscaping in terms of what to plant where and how to reseed our lawn (using peat moss to help ensure the seeds have sufficient water and nutrients while they germinate.) Gabriel went above-and-beyond to help ensure the project was successful and I knew how to program the controller (and connect to it via the Hunter HydraWise app from my smartphone.) Oscar's (1st) crew is great! I am very happy with him, but I'm not happy with the young help Jesus has hired to do the easy clean-up work. Whenever they're unsupervised by Oscar, they will slack and sneakily leave without finishing the job. I am supposed to receive two hours of maintenance per visit bi-weekly. This last visit I only received 1-1/4 hours. These kids could have easily finished the job in 20 minutes. Jesus needs to hold the 2nd string clean-up crew accountable instead of wanting to charge me for an extra visit. The service quality has started to diminish. I am really hoping it improves. read more
