Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They did a great job on the trees, cleaned up all the debris completely, and even used a blower to make sure they didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend JC Tree Experts. They simply could not have done a better job!

This is exactly why I waited to post--I find this level of monitoring and personal contact highly invasive and unprofessional. Hired this company to remove a tree. First of all, I know it's a very demanding business and risky at that. And things come up all the time, but what is unacceptable is accountability. I had an appointment and the day of the person was nowhere to be seen. I could not get a hold of Xavier. He finally responded after numerous calls. I have several friends in this business and they said that they at least apologize when they over schedule and things come up. Again, I understand this. But at least apologize for the lack of communication. An apology goes a long way!

I will bring them back to thin out the canopies in a year or two. One more thing worth noting - during our initial walkthrough I mentioned the new pavers on the ~70' long driveway. Marcos assured me that they would be careful and would pull the large truck only to the end of the driveway ramp. Not only did they do this, but they also brought a bunch of plywood to protect the driveway from tree branches and equipment. Nice touch!

Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND! We were so impressed with Carlos's expertise, professionalism, and customer service that we've already engaged his family's landscaping division (Zazueta Landscaping) to assess our entire front and backyard for a complete re-do. The contracted said they are not liable for any pipe damage, but this is clearly damage to my gutter that could have been avoided. I probably won't be going with them again.

Its been a couple months since my 1st post on Quality Green - Couldn't figure out how to just…read moreupdate my previous review so here's my final-final. I wanted a lawn/mow free yard, including lots of tan bark, landscape weed barrier, drip system, with lots of drought tolerant plants, water timer and any work needed with pipes/existing sprinklers. I also wanted a small patio area in the front for early morning coffee. We also briefly discussed the possible correction to a VERY bad partial attempt at a pergala/covered patio in my backyard (by someone else that was fired 1/2 way through) . Ozzy and team completed the (original) job in appx 5 days. There were some change orders as we traveled through the process but Ozzy was always polite and accommodating with my questions and adjustments (as I madly Googled info on all of this: what did i know about landscaping :) My front and back yards had been very neglected for some time. QG started by removing a couple inches of my beat up lawns and replacing with new top soil. The gentleman who handled all heavy equipment / paving suggested correcting the soil on the side of my house so water travel downgrade, away from my foundation - great idea! and I've included a pix of that. The small front patio went in (I love coffee in the morning sun) I also asked for a walkway that crosses the yard from left to right. These were done with costs in mind and I am VERY pleased with the outcome. As for the front and back yards, new top soil and landscape weed barrier were laid. Adjustments to pipes and pre-exsiting sprinklers were completed for the drip system and the auto-timer was set up. All the main tubing went in and both lawns were mostly covered with black tan bark. I left 1/3 of my back yard to plant a low maintenance ground cover to replace grass. The day-of the tan bark pickup the vendor was out of the small bark so rather than postpone I just moved forward with the large size. I will say I do think the small bark would have been a better look for residential but that can be corrected down the line if I care to. Except for a couple of adjustments this basically completed the yard work. Due to some scheduling bumps I didn't have plants ready for planting but Ozzy's team would have done that if I had. He did return to do the runner tubes to the plants in front and back and make an adjustment to the one sprinkler in the back for the ground cover. Things went so well I contracted to have my back patio finished by the same person who did the patio and pavers. Originally this job was to just put up the polycarbonate roofing panels but his recommendation was to correct ALL the bad work done by the previous "contractor". This was absolutely the best advise!! Yes, it was more $$ but what a great job he did and it was the RIGHT recommendation. That patio had been in limbo for 5 months while I tried to find someone I could trust. I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about! Some of my pictures show the a little of the very poor work and then the finished patio roof a little bit - I'm SO happy with the final outcome. It's difficult to start a new business, it's difficult to find and keep people as good as your own intentions. I know Ozzy wants the best for his customers and I wish him all the luck in growing his business. It was a pleasure to have him and his team complete my work.

I got back a couple responses, but only two were serious. One proposal was very involved with associated cost, and the caution of no guarantee of success. The other came from Konoha also without a guarantee of success, but more reasonable cost. Carlos came in the morning when the day was still cool and dug a good-sized hole in the backyard. He then dug up the tree in front and we got it to the backyard. He planted it, taking care to make sure the trunk was oriented so that the part that had faced the sun before was facing it again. He also made sure to put the tree spikes I had in the ground and also some steaks in case I need to give the tree added support. It's a big shot to the tree and we won't have any cherries this year, but I am hopeful that the tree will make it. I am confident that Carlos gave it his best effort. We have a number of trees on our property and I will be giving Carlos a call for his assistance in the future
