They ended up be the best priced and were accommodating on scheduling, coming over today (Saturday) in the morning. They arrived in time and setup without us even having to do anything. Efficient and punctual is great for any contractor! They took about 6 hours total to remove 1 very tall (but dead) Monterey Pine to about the fence line and trim away the dead branches on a second pine. The cleaned up and made the area even cleaner than it was before. All of the debris was hauled away and in the second tree they not only cut the dead branches away but also made it look nicer by doing expert pruning. Overall we are so happy with the work. I can wholeheartedly recommend Joel's Tree Service for all your pruning, clearing and tree removal needs without any reservations. They are a professional operation that works efficiently, tirelessly and at a fair price. I am extremely happy with the work they did for me on my property. We had a relatively large project that involved removal and stump grinding of large dead birch tree and some smaller trees/shrubs, pruning back of a number of large trees to our fence line and cleaning up and clearing of a whole lot of ridiculously overgrown foliage and vines on the fences in our back yard. The situation has exceeded capacity, skills and available time to take on myself so requested estimates from a number of different services. Hector and his sister Jaquelin came out to survey the work to be done for the estimate. We ended up narrowing the decision from four down down to two services and Joel's estimate came well below the other competing service so we selected them for the project. The entire job took 1.5 days to complete. Each day Hector showed up with two other guys and they worked tirelessly through the whole job. Hector is absolute machine. He handled all the large tree pruning by himself and climbed fences, trees and structures with amazing agility and wielded the chainsaw single handed to take down and prune the big trees while the other guys handled all the hauling, cleanup and grinding/digging out of roots. They navigated around all the overhead telephone, power and fiber lines that were running through the trees without any issues. They also manually dug out some large tree roots that were growing right next to my house foundation. I had tried and failed to do this in the past and the other services said they couldn't do it because the stump grinder could not get in that close to the brickwork. Hector and his guys took it in stride and made it happen. The clearing and cleanup they did on my property was immaculate. They removed all the shrubs, overgrown vines and small trees completely and also manually dug out most of the root systems to prevent them coming back. They discovered during their work that one of the other bigger trees was rotting in the trunk and likely to fall over at some point so we updated the estimate and they removed that additional tree as well. Hector and his guys also went beyond the call and trimmed a whole bunch of other shrubs and plants we had in the back yard and left the yard looking spectacular. In the front yard they shaped and thinned out our street tree and a Japanese maple as well as removing a large dead birch tree. The results of the pruning were well shaped and balanced. It was quick, efficient and they cleaned up very well. They also chipped and took away everything. Communication via SMS before and during the job was easy and responsive. I am so happy that I got them in to take care of all of this work. It was incredible to see Hector and his hard working team whip my property into beautiful shape in a matter of days.
