Jose and his helper did a great job to prune my big tree. It was easy to schedule time with him, and they cleaned the environment thoroughly after their work. One area they could have improved to bring their business to the next level, is to make it easier for the communication. Other than the first a few messages exchanged, most of my SMS and emails were not replied. After the service, I sent him 3 SMS, 2 emails, and left 1 voice mail before I could get the receipt of my payment one week later. read more

Jose did an outstanding job removing our 35-40 ft tree. He was punctual, arrived on time, and brought a helper so they could work efficiently. The two of them completed the tree removal, cleaned up everything, and removed the stump in just a couple of hours. The work was thorough, the cleanup was excellent, and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work involved. If you're looking for someone reliable, professional, and fairly priced for tree removal, I highly recommend Jose. read more

5 days ago, my partner and I decided to get quotes for the removal of a 40 foot tree from our backyard. Jose was one of the few who came to give quotes. He was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. That was Saturday and now it's only Wednesday, but our tree has been reduced to a stump! His team worked fast and cleaned all the debris quickly. Jose has insurance and a verified license. His price is fair. His work is great! We highly recommend him for tree removal services! read more

We planted six Redwood trees in our backyard in 1996 when they were 5 feet tall. By 2025 they were 60 feet tall and heavy with growth. It was frightening to watch their branches bounce violently in storms, and when the soil was saturated you could feel them gently lift the ground beneath your feet as they swayed. Prevailing winds blew toward our home, so we knew the trees posed a real danger. But after seeing so many trees in our neighborhood butchered by "professionals," it was hard to trust someone to selectively thin our trees. Jose put us at ease. He understood how much we loved them and quoted us a very fair price. He and his crew spent 2 days climbing up and down, cutting branches by hand. They cleaned up after themselves daily, and our neighbors told us they even came over to ask if anything fell into their yards that they'd like removed. Our backyard still feels like a private forest, but a more spacious and open one. This is a 5-star contractor! read more

I was so impressed with Jose and his strong communication skills, prompt response and ability to get a couple of his team members on the job at my elderly mother's home the same day I contacted him. Definitely recommend him And would use this company again! read more

Jose and his crew are the best! I had a problem with a big tree between my house and fence. The tree was probably the tallest in the neighborhood, and had branches that hung over my roof and my neighbor's roof. The tree began pushing my fence out, and its leaves dropped sap all over my cars, driveway, roof, and anything else in the way. What a mess! My neighbors even disliked the tree (even though I life in Palo Alto, which is a place that generally likes trees!). I called Jose at about 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, he replied back right away, and came to inspect the tree by 10 a.m. that Sunday morning. He gave me a fair quote and scheduled the tree cutting for the coming Tuesday morning. I came back from work on Tuesday afternoon. The big tree was gone! The thee had also been pulverized into small chips and dust and was carried away in the back of a truck. Great job! The entire neighborhood looked happy! I would highly recommend Jose. read more

Jose and his team were very punctual , quick in giving the solution and finishing the job with perfection .

Jose, who was friendly and professional, responded quickly to our enquiry and promptly came out to provide a quote. His team delivered efficiently and as promised. They even kindly cleared the debris from our roof and removed a nearby pile of trimmings that we had been gradually moving into the yard waste bin. Now about 1 year later, the trees they trimmed are in excellent shape. The jacaranda looks strong and healthy, and the birch, which is otherwise identical to its twin in our neighbor's yard, has much more vibrant and airy growth compared to its twin. We're looking forward to requesting the services of Jose and his team the next time! read more

First of all, tree service pricing are over the place. I used one tree guys couple of times and he was reasonable. But this time his bid was 50% higher than the lowest bid. This is only reviewing for the quality and efficiency of the job and not the "price" of the job. Jose and his crew was very efficient. The job is to remove the tree fell down already. - Unlike some bidders, who tried to scare you to do the job quickly, exaggerating the work involves and using his communication skills to put fear in you to commit for him to do the job. Jose came, survey the situation, and gave me the costs of the job. Straight and direct. He also made it clear the stump will be charged separately and gave me a total cost. - When we found out a small tree was "forgotten" to remove due to miscommunication. He didn't even bother asking for more money, he just said. Considered it done. (remember, this is one of the lowest bid) - 3 hours after we talked on the Saturday, he and his crew came stabilized the tree (It already fell) and as promised did the stump because he got equipment on Saturday. Our agreement was that it will be done on Sunday morning. Efficiency. - Sunday morning, before I returned from church, tree gone, everything covered. Looks neat and clean. - Disclaimer: I wasn't here to see how he did his work, not sure if he completely cleared out the stump. - This review rating is given solely based on his efficiency, his no hassle, and job done satisfactory. read more

Had my trees pruned & topped on Tuesday and WOW, what a difference. Jose & his team were very efficient and professional. The trees look great and I couldn't be happier. When I requested the quote, he listened to what I needed and then explained what had to be done and why. He quoted me a price that was very fair and reasonable. Within a week, my back yard is now wonderfully, airy, bright and looks great. Yvonne N. read more

Jose and his team did a great job in cutting down our dead tree. We live next to a public staircase, and I was impressed with how he surgically cut and guided the pieces to safety to avoid pedestrian traffic. Also, the quote was competitive. I'd be happy to hire again! read more

Jose was super fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. He took down our 45 foot tree in less than 3 hours, then came back the next day to do the stump work. Jose and his team are incredible. They are fast, efficient, knowledgeable and priced fairly. On his own, Jose did extensive research on a disease that my tree has and that I was not aware of. The disease doesn't threaten the life of the tree or require intervention. When he first told me about it, I assumed he would tell me it needed extra work. But no, he just noticed the problem before I did and was interested in learning more about it. He is a dedicated and professional arborist and I have a lot of respect for him and the work he does. read more

This is the highest rating I have ever given. I met Jose at my home in Palo Alto, showed him the project and he promptly provided a written bid. Jose's team showed up promptly at 7:55am for an 8am scheduled tree removal. They are professional and take pride in their work. They accomplished my fairly large job in three hours and had exceptional clean up of the site. I will use Jose and his team at every opportunity. Thank you! read more

Great job, reliable and pretty fast as far as taking care of our actual job. (Which was trimming back a bunch of annoying juniper bushes.) Has good advice too, for future considerations. Showed up when he said they would. Sometimes takes a little time in getting back to you to confirm or with paperwork, but when it comes to doing the work very competently, Jose does his thing well. Price not cheap but very reasonable as going rate for the bay area goes. Would use again when needed. read more

Another well deserved 5 Star review for Jose and his team. I have many tall trees and knew the job would take several days. They did a fantastic job, Jose reviewed all the work ahead of time down to the large cuts. They cleaned the property each day, took away everything. Jose was on site and involved the entire time. Highly recommended. read more

Time to lose a limb? You can't really do better the Jose and his posse. I'm a small business owner too, so I really appreciate that Jose was quick to respond to my inquiry, on time for his inspection, fair in his quote, prompt for the service call, attentive to my instructions, cordial to chat with, and of course, perfect in his delivery: My wisteria and tea tree and bursting with pride. read more

Jose and his team quickly and efficiently removed a 15ft tree that had fallen during a winter storm, as well as a 20ft tree that was dead and in danger of failing. Jose was able to quickly provide a quote for the work, and his crew arrived on time (the next day!) to remove the trees. After removal, they did an excellent cleanup of the yard and sidewalk, clearing all the limbs and sawdust; other than the stumps you would not know they were there. All around excellent service, I would definitely use them again. read more

I had to remove 13 tall cypress trees that did their screening duty and became home of rats. Jose came soon after I contacted him and gave me a quote that I considered very reasonable. He had an opening for the following day and with 2 helpers did a great and clean job. He came a few week later at my request and removed debris (old leaves) accumulated over the years, way more than fell when the cypresses were removed. He also cut a thick branch of another tree. And on top of being an excellent arborist, he is a nice guy. I'm going to call him again because another tree has to be removed. read more

Jose and his crew did an amazing job cutting down a dead 40+ foot redwood tree I had in my yard. Jose showed up on time on 9/11 to discuss about the tree removal and planting of new trees. He sounded pretty confident for the job and provided good advises on planting new trees. The meet up went well and he was supposed to provide quotes for the job. After that, no update. I called up 650-380-2297 & 415-933-0948 several times but they all went to voicemails and was not receiving any returning calls. Thought something had happened to the company but it seems it's still very much in business based on the 10/2 yelp review. So my encounter with Jose was such a strange one. read more

Jose is fabulous and I highly recommend him! He super knowledgeable, makes firm commitments and arrives on-time, is reasonably priced, and does a beautiful job trimming and sculpting trees. We have an 80 ft black walnut and an equally tall holly oak on our property and he and his team carefully climbed up and cut back our tree to perfection. I have had 3 people ask me who cut our trees, most recently it was the PA workers who take care of the street trees who asked about it after commenting on the beauty of the shape of the tree.
