We recently had Pineda Tree Service back for another job, and once again they delivered excellent service from start to finish. We initially called Solomon to assess two large pines leaning dangerously on our hillside, and he also identified two additional dead trees that posed a risk to a neighboring property--something we really appreciated. In a single day, his experienced crew of about eight crew removed all four trees, chipped everything, and left the area impressively clean. The team worked efficiently and with a strong focus on safety throughout the job. One of the trees was very close to our house, but they handled it with precision and no issues at all. Over the past 25 years, we've worked with other tree services, and Pineda stands out for their reliability, professionalism, and ability to stay on time and on budget. They consistently meet, or beat, competitive quotes. We also value supporting a local company that consistently meets--and exceeds--expectations. Highly recommended. read more

Pineda Tree Service does an extraordinary job and we give him them the highest recommendation. Salomon Pineda and his crew have done tree work for us and most people in our neighborhood over the years to the satisfaction of all. They recently removed a huge oak tree with Sudden Oak Death that towered over our house and another very large evergreen tree that had grown too close to the house. The work was done carefully and safely. There is no wasted time. The clean up was thorough. The price was reasonable. read more

Went out in my backyard this morning and discovered that a tree along my rear Fenceline had split and half of it was leaning in such a way as to threaten the fence and some pool equipment. Given that this was likely caused by the recent storms and that there are more storms coming, I was in quite a hurry to get someone out to take a look and fix it. I called several tree services, Saloman Pineda responded almost immediately and was able to come out within 30 minutes which I very much appreciated. He and his crew removed the affected tree and trimmed its neighbors quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up the job site very nicely, which was an added bonus. I felt that the price they charged was fair but admittedly am not an expert-everything seems very expensive in the bay area these days! I highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

We've had Salomon here twice. Both times were for dropping dangerous trees. Their work is outstanding. They're on time and work very well together like bees. They all know their positions and work so efficiently. The cleanup was beautiful. It looked like they had not been there at all. (except for the holes in the ground where large pieces of tree hit) They placed the chip exactly where we wanted it. The best part of all for me was watching Salomon drop the "big stick". It was amazing. A giant Fir and a target area between two Redwoods that none of us wanted to hit. I swear Salomon can "feel" the tree. It's as if when he puts his body against it he can feel the stress in the tree or something. He's feeling it and reading it somehow. He also has a climber on his crew that is just as fabulous up in the tree tops. He walks out on limbs to nearby trees and drops all the "stuff" from the top. He drops branches exactly where he wants them. The crew at the bottom knows where they will fall and is ready to move them to where they will be chipped. The whole crew is great. They are also all very polite and respectful. Salomon is easy to talk to and comfortable to be around. You get your money's worth when you hire this team. 5 stars is not enough. read more

Pineda Tree Service - This is a freeze frame of the tree falling. The stump is on the right and the length of the stick is falling to the left. - Tree Services Near Me - Woodside, California

Took out our dead cedar tree and our neighbour's too. Professional, fast, excellent clean up, good price.

(Sorry for the late review!) We are so happy to have hired Salomón and his team to do the tree work a while ago. Unlike the other guys we had met, Salomón is very sincere, polite, honest and showed up on time to do the estimate. His price was reasonable and he would give you his honest opinion when he doesn't think the work you request is necessary. Even though his price didn't come the lowest, we just felt that he's the right guy to hire. We especially appreciate his advice to contact PG&E since he believed they would take care of some of the trees close to the power line. He could easily make more money but instead, he helped us saved thousands of dollars! His team came on time on the scheduled date, worked efficiently and cleaned up well after they had finished. We will highly recommend Salomón and his team! read more

My husband and I are SO HAPPY we chose Pineda Tree Service. Soloman came to our property and did a walk through with us. We let him know what we were wanting and he also shared his thoughts/expertise to help us get what we wanted (safety & more light). He gave us a fair estimate & we booked him right away. They had two days of work and we were amazed at what they accomplished each day. Soloman and his team were so professional and MASTERS at their work. We are amazed at the end result! So much more light, more space, views we never knew existed, and most importantly no more scary branches threatening our home/cars! The clean up in the end was also impressive. The best money spent in a long time! Thank you so much to Soloman & his team! We will be using Pineda Tree service for years to come, if needed. I HIGHLY recommend! read more

Pineda Tree Service and Ernesto are very professional, prompt and provide great tree trimming services. I recently bought a house and realized that major tree trimming was needed, and a huge tree should get removed. I contacted Pineda and Ernesto jumped right on my project, even consulted with my neighbor and handled their needs as well. Neighbor was thrilled with the work, and so were we. Ernesto's team trimmed major trees very neatly and per specs, and removed a very large tree from my property. I decided same day to remove the tree, and they called in the machine to handle the job given originally I was just going to trim. I rarely write reviews, however, I found Pineda Tree Service through Yelp and overall very good reviews I read, and I just wanted to confirm for future consumers looking for tree service, that Pineda will do a great job at a very fair price. I definitely have recommended to several contacts and can certainly refer them to any Yelpers. read more

I am beyond thrilled about the service Salomon Pineda provides. Salomon has been "our tree guy" for many years, long before he started advertising his services. He was always a word-of-mouth thing up here in Woodside, until his business started booming. As I write, he's taking down a precarious oak tree, looming above our house. It's a really tricky operation and requires tactical thinking so he doesn't put a hole in my roof. I've seen this guy tackle some monster trees and I recommend him, without reservation. read more

Solomon & his crew have helped us several times with tree trimming & removal. Sometimes the projects are quick and easy, others are more involved & laborious. They have always done a great job executing the scope - no matter how big or small - and they do so as quickly as can be expected. It's a hard working, professional team and they are very conscientious. I highly recommend Pineda. read more

My aged parents needed their trees pruned and we had a few estimates. and we chose Pineda's, which was the middle bid. I chose him because he had good reviews and he also returned our calls in good time and showed up when he said he would for the estimate. His workers were excellent. They pruned the trees beautifully and also cleaned everything up completely. I am a fan! Thank you, very mucho. read more

Salomón Pineda and his crew were great to work with. Salomón quickly responded to my inquiry over Yelp, came out on a weekend, and arrived exactly when he said he would, to give me an estimate. He gave me great advice, including which work was unnecessary. He wrote up the quote in detail on the spot and there was zero pressure. In fact, when I prompted the question of when he could do the work he was apologetic and explained it would be 4-6 weeks. By comparison, I had checked with a few other tree companies who were more expensive for the same work, pushing more work that I didn't think was needed, and pressuring to schedule as soon as possible. I went with Pineda. Salomón called me up a week later to let me know he had a cancellation and they could get to me the coming Friday. He and his crew of 5 more arrived exactly on time. They had three impressive work vehicles (including a serious cherry picker that my kids watched in awe for hours). His crew are kind and professional. The work they performed was above and beyond my expectations and they cleaned up the property perfectly. In fact, they even cleaned off my roof! I highly recommend this company. You will be extremely happy with their professionalism, quality of work and price. read more

Salomon and team were awesome! They came at exactly the time they said they would. Their skill in taking down a dead tree on the border of our property was remarkable. No branches fell in the wrong place. They then did a great job at cleaning up and piling up the logs. We highly recommend them! read more

I agree with the other reviews. We have used Pineda twice (estimates very reasonable) and both times Solomon and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. I would have no reservation recommending them and will definitely use them in the future read more

Wonderful Service by Kevin and his team! Prices were very fair for high quality work performed within the time-frame given. Very professional. I am definitely going to call Pineda next year before fire season for my annual brush clearing and tree trimming and tree removal. I am very happy after having had dealt with another company who really let me down in every way. You will not be dissatisfied!!! read more

As good as it gets :) Salomon is very professional, he set expectations perfectly, had a reasonable quote, his crew came early, and delivered on expectations and cleaned up very well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks Salomon! read more

Needed a huge old tree removed since it had died. Ernesto came out the same day I called him, looked at everything, gave us a very reasonable estimate (much less than the prior estimate), scheduled the job two days out, and completed the job is a timely and professional manner. We were so happy to have this taken care of safely. While it's never fun loosing a tree, when it has to be done, it's nice to have a professional on board. Ernesto will be our go to for all tree service needs going forward. read more

Salomon and his crew pruned my garden today: trees, two *very* tall pittosporum hedges, and a really old rose that is taller than my 2-story house, and was threatening to take over my next door neighbor's house! Then they chipped all the good cuttings for me to use as mulch, and took away the ones with the thorns, just as I had asked. They left the garden in good shape too. I am so glad someone referred me to them! My yard looks great! And so much more sun comes in the windows where it had been too dark. Thanks Salomen! read more

I just had extensive tree work done by Pineda Tree Service and I could not be more pleased with the work. From start to finish it all went very smoothly. Solomon, the owner, showed up right on time to give an estimate and I felt it was very reasonable. He is booked out for about 6-8 weeks, so plan ahead. He showed up on time with a large crew to do the work and spent two days trimming back (and removing) tree branches from very tall redwoods (safety issue). His team is very professional, capable and hard working. They were very careful and respectful not to damage my existing landscape and did an excellent cleanup job. I would recommend Salomon and Pineda Tree work to anyone with a big (or small) job and wants the work done expertly and professionally. read more

We had Solomon come out to take down a leaning redwood that was directly in front of my house and decided to have a smaller one done at the same time that was touching the roof. His crew were experienced and professional. The larger tree required climbing and sectioning which seemed harrowing to me, but he did it without so much as a bump to the house. the cost was reasonable and the result was worth it. read more

We have worked with Solomon of Pineda Tree Service for a number of years. Pineda Tree Service Inc (not to be confused with an East Bay company with a similar name) of Woodside is phenomenal. Professional, quick, careful, cooperative - Salomon works WITH his men as a team. They can do anything, from taking down a huge Eucalyptus to pruning overgrown bushes, and everything in between. He's expert at thinning a tree yet preserving its graceful shape and canopy. He is knowledgeable of the value and nature of trees, and long term effects of growth and pruning. His crew is amazingly efficient and neat - you wouldn't know they've been in your yard! Most of all I respect the fact that Salomon trains and works with the crew. A thousand stars! read more

Salomon and his team are experts at what they do. They are prompt, efficient and clean up well after themselves. Their estimates are fair and Salomon is very conscientious about the work they do. We have used their company twice to trim trees, remove trees/hedges and stump removal. We highly recommend their company. read more

Salomon and his team are as amazing as so many people have posted. He carefully removed a 40 year old dead pine in our yard and sculpturally pruned our camphor tree. We are 100% pleased with the work he does. We will use him again. Hire this guy and you will be delighted too. Sally W. read more

We've used several tree companies over the years and Salomon has worked for us several times in the past as an employee of another company. Today we hired his company to take down a dozen very large pine trees that were becoming a threat to our house. He and his crew worked hard and skillfully, did an excellent job, cleaned up thoroughly, and finished in a single day -- all for a very reasonable price. For someone in such a rough business, Salomon is an unusually gentle and gentlemanly person. I recommend him without reservation. read more

We had an excellent experience with Soloman Pineda and his crew. He gave us a detailed estimate for trimming redwoods on our property and helped us prioritize the work, given risks and costs. They did the work well, as scheduled, and cleaned up our property and roof, leaving it far cleaner than when they started! There happened to be a wind storm between the time of the estimate and the time of the work, which made it obvious there was another vulnerable tree with branches over our roof -- he threw in trimming this tree for free. We would absolutely recommend Pineda for trimming/tree maintenance. read more

It is quite rare that I give five stars. --- When I accepted Salomon Pineda's bid to take down three large trees (one of which had partially fallen on my house) I expected they would do a good job--they did--I expected they wouldn't make too big a mess--they didn't--. I didn't expect that every one of his crews and he would go out of their way to deal with property related problems they hadn't known about, but they did---from closing up a hole in the wall near the roof that a bat had decided made a nice home, to taking down almost twice the amount of a tree that they had originally thought was the job (Salomon had thought that all I had wanted was removal of the huge branch that had broken and was leaning on the porch), to heavily trimming an oak that Salomon thought was too close to the house and was a hazard (which I hadn't even thought of when we first discussed the job), to meticulously cleaning up the site when they were done. and no claim for extras over the original proposal. He has a crew that knows what they are doing, cooperates well with each other, and does a clean and quick job they can be proud of---So, all things considered, five stars, and if six were available, they'd get one! read more

Pineda Tree Service is incredible. I wish i could give them 1000 stars. They trimmed our trees recently in Woodside, Ca. and they made art pieces out of the trees. All of Salomon's team is polite, and very concerned about client service. We have lived in Woodside for 30 years and used his competitors in the past but will never use anyone else again. Truly excellent!!!!!! read more

Salomon and his crew do excellent work. They are punctual, affordable, and very safety conscious. We have hired him many times over the years to do tree work that requires great skill and talent. He has successfully removed trees that were a danger to our home, our cars, power lines, and our property. He has also been instrumental in clearing fallen trees, many of which were absolutely enormous, from our roads after winter storms. We are always greatly satisfied with his level of professionalism. read more
