Went out in my backyard this morning and discovered that a tree along my rear Fenceline had split and half of it was leaning in such a way as to threaten the fence and some pool equipment. Given that this was likely caused by the recent storms and that there are more storms coming, I was in quite a hurry to get someone out to take a look and fix it. I called several tree services, Saloman Pineda responded almost immediately and was able to come out within 30 minutes which I very much appreciated. He and his crew removed the affected tree and trimmed its neighbors quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up the job site very nicely, which was an added bonus. We've had Salomon here twice. Both times were for dropping dangerous trees. Their work is outstanding. They're on time and work very well together like bees. They all know their positions and work so efficiently. The cleanup was beautiful. It looked like they had not been there at all. (except for the holes in the ground where large pieces of tree hit) They placed the chip exactly where we wanted it. The best part of all for me was watching Salomon drop the "big stick". It was amazing. A giant Fir and a target area between two Redwoods that none of us wanted to hit. I swear Salomon can "feel" the tree. It's as if when he puts his body against it he can feel the stress in the tree or something. He's feeling it and reading it somehow. He also has a climber on his crew that is just as fabulous up in the tree tops. He walks out on limbs to nearby trees and drops all the "stuff" from the top. He drops branches exactly where he wants them. The crew at the bottom knows where they will fall and is ready to move them to where they will be chipped. The whole crew is great. They are also all very polite and respectful. Salomon is easy to talk to and comfortable to be around. You get your money's worth when you hire this team. 5 stars is not enough. read more

Unlike the other guys we had met, Salomón is very sincere, polite, honest and showed up on time to do the estimate. His price was reasonable and he would give you his honest opinion when he doesn't think the work you request is necessary. Even though his price didn't come the lowest, we just felt that he's the right guy to hire. We especially appreciate his advice to contact PG&E since he believed they would take care of some of the trees close to the power line. Pineda Tree Service and Ernesto are very professional, prompt and provide great tree trimming services. I recently bought a house and realized that major tree trimming was needed, and a huge tree should get removed. I contacted Pineda and Ernesto jumped right on my project, even consulted with my neighbor and handled their needs as well. Neighbor was thrilled with the work, and so were we. Ernesto's team trimmed major trees very neatly and per specs, and removed a very large tree from my property. I decided same day to remove the tree, and they called in the machine to handle the job given originally I was just going to trim. I rarely write reviews, however, I found Pineda Tree Service through Yelp and overall very good reviews I read, and I just wanted to confirm for future consumers looking for tree service, that Pineda will do a great job at a very fair price. Salomón Pineda and his crew were great to work with. Salomón quickly responded to my inquiry over Yelp, came out on a weekend, and arrived exactly when he said he would, to give me an estimate. He gave me great advice, including which work was unnecessary. He wrote up the quote in detail on the spot and there was zero pressure. In fact, when I prompted the question of when he could do the work he was apologetic and explained it would be 4-6 weeks. By comparison, I had checked with a few other tree companies who were more expensive for the same work, pushing more work that I didn't think was needed, and pressuring to schedule as soon as possible. I went with Pineda. Salomón called me up a week later to let me know he had a cancellation and they could get to me the coming Friday. He and his crew of 5 more arrived exactly on time. They had three impressive work vehicles (including a serious cherry picker that my kids watched in awe for hours). His crew are kind and professional. Needed a huge old tree removed since it had died. Ernesto came out the same day I called him, looked at everything, gave us a very reasonable estimate (much less than the prior estimate), scheduled the job two days out, and completed the job is a timely and professional manner. Salomon and his crew pruned my garden today: trees, two *very* tall pittosporum hedges, and a really old rose that is taller than my 2-story house, and was threatening to take over my next door neighbor's house! Then they chipped all the good cuttings for me to use as mulch, and took away the ones with the thorns, just as I had asked. They left the garden in good shape too. I just had extensive tree work done by Pineda Tree Service and I could not be more pleased with the work. From start to finish it all went very smoothly. Solomon, the owner, showed up right on time to give an estimate and I felt it was very reasonable. He is booked out for about 6-8 weeks, so plan ahead. He showed up on time with a large crew to do the work and spent two days trimming back (and removing) tree branches from very tall redwoods (safety issue). His team is very professional, capable and hard working. They were very careful and respectful not to damage my existing landscape and did an excellent cleanup job. His crew were experienced and professional. We had an excellent experience with Soloman Pineda and his crew. He gave us a detailed estimate for trimming redwoods on our property and helped us prioritize the work, given risks and costs. They did the work well, as scheduled, and cleaned up our property and roof, leaving it far cleaner than when they started! There happened to be a wind storm between the time of the estimate and the time of the work, which made it obvious there was another vulnerable tree with branches over our roof -- he threw in trimming this tree for free. It is quite rare that I give five stars. --- When I accepted Salomon Pineda's bid to take down three large trees (one of which had partially fallen on my house) I expected they would do a good job--they did--I expected they wouldn't make too big a mess--they didn't--. I didn't expect that every one of his crews and he would go out of their way to deal with property related problems they hadn't known about, but they did---from closing up a hole in the wall near the roof that a bat had decided made a nice home, to taking down almost twice the amount of a tree that they had originally thought was the job (Salomon had thought that all I had wanted was removal of the huge branch that had broken and was leaning on the porch), to heavily trimming an oak that Salomon thought was too close to the house and was a hazard (which I hadn't even thought of when we first discussed the job), to meticulously cleaning up the site when they were done. and no claim for extras over the original proposal. He has a crew that knows what they are doing, cooperates well with each other, and does a clean and quick job they can be proud of---So, all things considered, five stars, and if six were available, they'd get one! read more
