I'm so happy with how our palm tree turned out! The difference before and after the trimming is incredible. Our tree looks so much neater, cleaner, and refreshed, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The whole team at Encinal Tree Services was very courteous, professional, and considerate throughout the process. I especially appreciated how they took the extra care to protect our plants by covering them with plywood before starting the work. They also did a wonderful job cleaning everything up afterward, leaving our yard nice and tidy. Thank you to the entire team for your hard work, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail. We truly appreciate it and are very happy with the experience! read more

We got a few quotes for tree trimming, tree removal, and yard clean up and Uriel's bid came a little bit lower than the others. They were very professional - laying down sheets of plywood on the roofs near the tree that was being trimmed in order to protect them, and they did a fantastic job on the clean up. We're very happy with the service they provided. read more

I had a seamless experience working with Encinal Tree Service to trim up branches that were encroaching on the power lines to my house - Uriel provided a fair quote compared to the others I received - The crew team showed up first thing in the morning as promised - They worked quickly and safely. - Care was taken to clean up when they were done. - Everything was trimmed, chipped up, and on the truck to be hauled away in just over an hour. I'm happy to give a strong recommendation for working with Uriel and his team. read more

Outstanding service. Courteous, prompt and responsive. Did the tree work and cleaned up very well.

We recently decided to redo our front and side yard and had two palm trees that needed to be cut down. I called a few companies and Uriel was the first to respond with a time to meet. He met me at my house on time and was very friendly. He gave me a good quote and offered to come by the next day. I decided to give him a try. The next day he came on time, unfortunately I was out running an errand. He kept in contact with me via text and started cutting while I was out. By the time I got back he was already finished with one palm tree. He and his team made quick work of the palms and I asked him to help me remove a couple of juniper and old lemon trees. Not a problem, he cut those down too and ground the stumps. Uriel and his team was awesome. They were very nice, fast, professional, very accommodating with my requests to work around my painters (house was also getting painted). Uriel is a real find! And I would use him again and would recommend him to any friend or family. read more

We had a very big eucalyptus branch break off from the wind and smash our chain link fence. I contacted Encinal Tree Service around 2 PM on Wednesday and on Thursday they came by at 8 AM and removed it. Not only did they remove the branch, haul it all away and leave the hillside and driveway super clean, they fixed the fence up as well as they could, including bending some bars we thought were beyond repair, such that the fence is functional. Thank you so much. We are hoping to use them to cut down the eucalyptus trees before another branch breaks and does even more damage. read more

Encinal was hired by our HOA to trim back numerous mature and young trees on our property. They were also tasked with removing dead trees from pots. They spent 2 full days on site. I had my doubts that they would finish in time but they did it! They were also hired to help spread the resulting wood chips on our property for mulch. They sent 2 guys and finished the mulching job in about 8 hours. They did a great job cleaning up after each job. So glad our HOA was able to find Encinal who was professional, prompt, responsive, and reasonably priced. read more

This company is great! I hired Encinal to cut down a large 100 YO tree (I had a permit), a small tree, and to prune a dangerous branch on a third tree. Scheduling a time to get a quote was very easy and Uriel accommodated my schedule. He gave a quote on the spot and based on comparisons to others, it was reasonable. He was available to do the work the following week and worked with my schedule. I ultimately chose Urial because he could do the entire job without having to sub-contract to someone else (he had the ability to grind out the stump from the large tree himself) -- and was so friendly and accommodating. His team arrived early, was professional, appeared to work safely, cleaned up after themselves, and finished early. They left the mulch from the tree on my yard as discussed, which will enable me to use it to mulch across my garden -- saved me a dump fee and yielded me 2 cubic yards of "free" mulch! I would definitely hire Urial and his team again. read more

I called Encinal after frantically searching for a last minute trim for my large magnolia tree in my front yard. With the recent amount of rain and wind we had another storm looming, I was afraid the tree would fall. I was actually out of town when I made the call. Not only did Uriel and his team trim the tree immediately that morning, they moved my husbands car that was covered and recovered it. He also moved my plants to make sure they would not get damaged. This was a huge relief as we had a friend staying with our dog and she was even nervous about moving things by herself. Uriel was very professional and also his pricing was very fair. They did a great job I would highly recommend this company. read more

Amazing!! 5++++ star. Strong recommended!!!!! I contacted Uriel on Yelp since I want to either trim or remove the liquid amber trees in my yard. Uriel replied immediately and said he was able to come to my house and do an estimate the second day!!!! (other owners either don't reply or have me waited for another 1 week) He came on time and gave me a very reasonable price. Uriel is super nice and personable. I even asked him for a couple of other suggestions for the house. In the end, we scheduled to have the trees removed the next week. He and another guy came on time and helped with 1. removing two liquid amber trees 2. trim my orange trees. 3. trim another two plum trees. They are SUPER professional and efficient!! I really enjoy working with Uriel! Definitely will reach out to him again in the future for any other tree services!! ---- read more

We had two large oak trees and a mature apple tree in our backyard that had grown like crazy due to the heavy rains. The trees had grown so much that they were starting to get close to our windows and over our addition. The apple tree especially was very thick and overgrown. I contacted a few tree providers, including Uriel, the owner of Encinal Tree Service. He responded very quickly, came out to give an estimate at the agreed upon time, and provided a quote that was very competitive. When I asked about scheduling, I was pleasantly surprised to learn this his team works on weekends, so we had him come out on a Sunday. This was much easier for us than having to stay home during a weekday. On the day of the project, his team arrived right on time and got right to work, efficiently and professionally. They cleaned up thoroughly after themselves (including cleaning branches out of our neighbor's yard) and also did me a solid and cut up some large, uncut pieces of firewood into usable, smaller pieces. The job was done on time, at the agreed upon cost, and very professionally. Uriel was a pleasure to work with and I would absolutely use his services again read more

50ft by 40ft oak tree - overhanging 4 properties - trimmed twice over 2 years by Uriel and team. Each time, the result is consistent - our heritage oak tree is turned into a piece of art. Uriel and his team were fantastic to work with. Really responsive and professional. They came out the next day after I had initially reached out, to give me a quote. Clean up was spotless and they were done in about 2 hours. Fair pricing. Would definitely use again. read more

We had a few trees that had overgrown close to our house and wanted to prune some of the foliage away from the property and walkways. One of our trees had split in two and become a certified hazard which needed to be removed relatively quickly. My husband contacted several tree service companies, and Uriel at Encinal Tree Service won the bid with the fairest price, responsiveness, and professionalism. Uriel was able to quickly schedule his team to do the work over 2.5 days. The entire team was polite, professional, and so hard working. We were amazed at the care and engineering tactics each man took to carefully cut down and remove the trees. We had a rather sizeable pine tree and watched from the windows to see such a large tree turn into a stump in a mere few hours. The men had great agility when climbing the tall trees and forethought in tying the large branches with rope to prevent them from damaging the property as they were cut down. Our family had not ever seen anything like it and were quite mesmerized by the pure skill of tree removal. Uriel took great care in making sure we were happy with the work done. We highly, highly recommend! read more

Uriel (owner of Encinal) was friendly, direct and responsive. He communicated well, listened carefully to our needs in a stressful situation for us, and explained his recommendations clearly. He checked-in with us mid-process to ensure all was going as we had intended. His bid was competitive and fair. He came in on time and on budget. His team was meticulous in protecting our garden, our neighbors' gardens, and left everything cleaner than when they arrived. Great job done by these guys. Tree trimming and stump grinding. Very thorough. Tree looks great after trimming.

2/23/23: the wind storm earlier this week knocked over a very tall tree on our property onto another one across the street, blocking said street. Uriel came over very quickly to give an estimate, no easy task given the number of trees down in the area and the amount of work his team were already engaged in. Once the tree had been trimmed back by PG&E Uriel was over within two hours w/ a crew to take the tree down to the stump. Aside from the quickness, Uriel is a good guy, his crew is friendly, and he has reasonable $. What more could you ask for? read more

Uriel and his crew did wonders for my mom's house which was very overgrown. He was on time for our estimate appointment, friendly and knowledgeable and gave us the best bid amongst the three companies we reached out to. Because we were dealing with a heritage tree he and his crew ended up working at my mom's house twice and both times he and his crew got there early, did a quick and thorough job and cleaned up nicely. He was quick to schedule our job as well. For the heritage tree removal (necessary due to proximity to the house), he helped us get our permit from the city, stopping by at the city to submit paperwork for us which made that painless as well. He also had to come an extra time to my mom's house prior to submitting the papers so that I could sign off on the paperwork and he could take photos to submit for our initial application. Overall, Uriel is an 'angel'! read more
